Mopo knows he's on a tightrope and deservedly so. Absolutely appalling performances and results as of late. Wouldn't shed a tear to see him go. Sick of peeps acting like the bloke's untouchable because he's supposedly a "step-up" from Adkins.

Quality player but could do without his petulance / arrogance infesting our club... offload in Jan!!

This, in recent weeks, has increasingly become an important issue and it is essential that I shed light on it here on the main board (if Saint Charlie’s “disciplinary action” thread was left to run its course on here, so should mine). The mods and their “modding” (if you will) have become absolutely ridiculous. These guys rule with an iron fist like no other. They make the Gestapo look like Keystone Kops! Seriously, who do they think they are? I won’t name names, but I’m sure you all know who I’m talking about. Recently they’ve been clamping down on these forums like mad. Locking threads unnecessarily, banning posters for no reason, even interfering and blocking PMs between me and Glasgow! They’re making a meal out of everything and always looking for a sorry excuse to take action and wield their authority. As I recall from the halcyon days of Saints Forever, the likes of Simon and Baj would never meddle with things they had no right to. When they did meddle, it was all in good nature. Instead of enforcing their opinions on others, they’d take the ****. Instead of locking a thread, they’d ignore it! It was the internet the way it was meant to be. Let me make myself clear, I have always been polite with everybody and always watched my language, yet in all the time I’ve been here, not ONCE did I ever feel like I had freedom of expression. I’ve always felt a sword of Damocles over my head every time I post. Yet I have done nothing at all to merit such surveillance or the recent ban I incurred. The only crime I ever committed was showing a difference of opinion. Is this what I and everybody else paid £5 for? It is time to put an end to this. In an age where brutal dictators are being deposed, and the long oppressed citizens are standing up to the authorities with riots and demonstrations, it is important for everybody here who believes in freedom and equality to stand up and do what is right. Let’s petition Steve Grant to bring about a switchover in the mods. Hopefully 2014 will be a good year for SWF. Let’s get it off to a good start by coming together to overthrow this corrupt regime. http://poll.pollcode.com/4823669 (will turn into proper petition depending on results)

Just trying to inject a much needed dose of reality into all those clappers. -
Nowhere near as much as we should be scoring mate. We're averaging less than 1.5 goals a game. Very, very poor.

My granny would get a 90% pass completion rate too if she just kept passing back to Lovren. -
If I hear or read somebody say that one more time I'm going to punch someone. Means f*ck all.
-
55% possession today. You do realise that our goals to minutes on the ball ratio is ridiculously low, right? Definitely worst in the league (though I haven't checked tbh).
-
Would like to see one game, just one game, where all five of Osvaldo, Jayrod, Lambert, Lallana and Ramirez start. Really miss those Nigel days of free flowing, attacking, ENTERTAINING football.
-
When we have the ball, we don't score. When we don't, the opposition score. Maybe the high pressing tactic is not so clever after all?
-
You planning on dropping the charade anytime soon mate? Always thought you were one of the better posters on here.

A moment of magic. Sheer brilliance. Hardly makes up for all those other minutes he's spent on the pitch doing f*ck all though. Let's not get ahead of ourselves.

No sh*t sherlock. Games like today are why we will never get into champions league or even top 6 with this muppet of a manager. Dominating, on top, looking for a winner, and what does he do? Take off our two biggest goal threats all afternoon. -
MotM for me too based on his defensive work and off the ball running, I agree. When we have the ball and are looking to attack though? Best not to comment.
-
That is scary good. You put money on any of this?
-
How are these three words in the same sentence? Also Lallana had one of his poorer performances this season (mainly because he's been absolutely superb in other games). Thought he made a few wrong decisions and looked a pedestrian for long spells second half.

Disappointing, only a slight improvement from Wednesday imho. City, call them one of the "big boys", "title challengers", etc., were absolute w@nk and why we were unable to put the game to bed second half is anyone's guess. Cork was solid defensively, Davis looked energetic, JWP okay, Lallana and Ossie threatened sporadically, Jayrod anonymous as always. +1 for atmosphere today though! -
Surely I'm not the only one slightly disappointed with the draw? City were w@nk and there for the taking 2nd half especially, our inability to kill games off is beginning to make my blood boil. Always on top, always dominating, never seem to have that cutting edge. Miss the days we were put under the cosh for 90 minutes yet still came away with something. Point of this thread: Why are our buildups so friggin slow??? We seem obsessed with keeping the ball! Sideways passes, back and forth in the middle of the pitch, not to mention those horrendous back passes to the keeper (Fonte especially) that are a) needless, b) wasting time, c) putting the keeper under unnecessary pressure. Is this part of MoPo's tactics? The two players showing any sense of urgency (Ossie and Lallana) were taken off, while many of the slower culprits were kept on (Cork, JWP, Davis). I was amazed at both subs. Is he giving the team instructions to hold on to the ball at all costs? The number of meaningless high percentage passes was getting ridiculous 2nd half, City were there for the taking imho. Notice our only goal came from a quick ball down the line and quick thinking on the goalscorer's part. Nice change, it worked! Almost every attack after the goal came to nothing as City had plenty of time to organise defensively and get all their players behind the ball. This made for a quite boring 45 minutes I must say. We obviously struggled to break them down or create any clear cut chances because moving forward we were so. friggin. slow. Thoughts?

Would go all out attack for this one, would much rather lose 4-3 than hold out for a 0-0 for 85 minutes before a sucker punch in the end... -----------------Gazza----------------- Chambers---Fonte------Lovren--Yoshida ------------------Davis---------------- Lallana------------Ramirez-----Rodriguez -----------Osvaldo-------Lambert------ Should be good for a 2-2 that lineup... we WILL concede (more than one) so imo just a question of how many we can score in reply...
