Its a great shame, anyone who says now football is better than it used to be needs to take the red pill and escape the matrix.
-
Maybe we should as football was designed for all to see, that can not happen any longer, when its more expensive to watch a game in the 4th tier of English football than it is in the Bundesliga you know something is very very wrong.
-
True, safe standing may bring an atmosphere missing for many years, football is not what is was, theres good and bad in that.
-
Moving from the Dell has taken an awful lot from our club, I am grateful sometime I dont live there and see them as much as I used to, fans with clubs looking at relocating beware.
-
Lets kick "entertainment" "product" and "plastic" out of football.

Any Footy films on over Chrimblin?
Barry Sanchez replied to Barry Sanchez's topic in The Muppet Show
I hope thats not on over Chrimblin. -
One of the above or a combination of them, you find working class trying to be middle class and the other way round.
-
Liverpool are quite a middle class set with many fans coming from all over the Country and Europe on matchdays, Everton is the very much working class football team.
-
I am proud of being working class, how do you define middle class?

So you do know what Chrimblin means then? Cheers ta. -
I am refering to clubs newer on the scene but there is some truth say that our teams support is more middle class/conservative than them down the road but ironically its a Labour City and has been for sometime.
-
Is this true? Are there middle class clubs as opposed to working class ones? What about the supporters? Chelsea were always known as having a deep rooted hooligan problem yet now they are attacked for having plastic fans from Surrey, this could be said for a lot of successful teams but what about teams that are not so lucky to have a cup or two? Are your Readings, Brightons and Milton Keynes Dons just johnny comes latelys who can not get to a game of rugby or new fans to the game which shouldeb applauded? Is there a link between good atmospheres (a better one than others as atmosphere in stadiums is something not what it was) and traditional working class support and a lack of one to day tripper fans from afar who want to watch solely a game of football/entertainment as opposed to seeing their local side and therefore a small part of their identity being paraded every other saturday?

A surprise from the wife, husband, girlfriend or boyfriend? Or a planned gift from your loved one, or simply the rough old banger you jointly share the gaff with?
-
The Taylor report was a fudge because it said that lower league teams did not have to make their stadiums all seater for reasons of lower attendance and cost, what about cup games against big teams?
