Multiculturalism is in short exactly what it says multi as opposed to one culture, multiple cultures are supposed to live in harmony together side by side, this can happen when there are educated wealthy people living in good spacious conditions or when there is a dictator in place (Iraq,Syria and many others) keeping in check all its citizens. What has happened in this Country is we have allowed people to live side by side but not with each other as it easier for them to live with their own lifestyles without seeing the others, this in turn has created false impressions of each other and suspicion. What should we do? Difficult now but faith schools are an issue that there is no doubt and so is our perceived weakness at our own law and order (Abu Qatada) with our relationship with Europe, we need to make this place something with an identity and something that all can associate with? Whats that? Again very very different people here so finding a binding thing for us all is nearly impossible but that is what will be needed for healing and empathy to start. What are your thoughts on Multiculturalism, Europe and social intergration?

Christchurch is nice and right near the Canterbury Plains, Dunedin is the best to be honest mate runs a club down there, good place, similar feel to here. I lived in Central Otago (Arrowtown) for 3 years, great place but depends what you want.

I also stay in the resort of Cala Ratjada, friends of ours live just up the road, very nice indeed and very quiet.

Auckland to me is the Birmingham of Australasia, its ****e for a City of over a Million, its too spread out with little culture (they will go on about the Amertica Cup and Boats a lot), the weather is poor for down under, live just outside in a beach community would be better but the commute is also long as the roads as crap. Not really pap, I have a view thats all, its tickles me as soon as people (the ignorant or insane left) dont like what they read they sling our the r word or bnp etc etc, I am nothing of the sort and dislike them them as much as extreme views and politics of the left. Mulitculturalism has been an abject social experiment to which the extremely poor were subjected to by the social elite (Liberal in many ways) and the chattering classes, the difference of living down a Country lane in Surrey with a well skilled multicultural society is completely different to one of overcrowding, unemployment, poor skills and repeated messages and promises forgotton by Governments (Labour and tory) in numerous Northern mill towns. The solution? There is not a solution now bar tolerance and more moderation on immigration from societies that do not resemble ours or are unwilling to live in an open society where everybody is equal (or we should strive to be). The fact we want to remain in a Europe thats far more right wing in its outlook than ours is ironic and amusing to say the least, people arguing for (by the way I have not even said what I would vote merely it would be democratic to give the people the vote and thats a good thing) us to stay in should look at the far right parties in Greece, Poland, Austria, Sweden, Denmark and others, is this really a united Europe or simply a publicity stunt and exercise for the Germans and French?
