I think they also 'hope' to win each game they go into. Unfortunately it seems 'hope' alone does not work in either situation. Sooner or later they may have to be a bit more proactive.

Not a shock. Anyone joining a team in our position and with our trajectory is going to need a lot of money to make the risk worth it. The board's decision to stand by our dead duck of a manager has pretty much decided that's how it has to be. There has still been nothing shown up to this point that indicates things will be turned around. We're relying on the other poor teams not hitting any sort of form.

I’m pretty sure the scouting setup is a little bit more involved than looking at the players goals per game ratio on Wikipedia.

Sing for your own players, if you want to. Better yet, sing for your club.

Given what has happened up to this point, it's hard to see how team performances are tied to the manager's continued employment. Oh to be highly paid, inept and have bosses that don't actually care about your performance.

I reckon if something is going to happen it'll be timed to be revealed after we get turned over by Fulham. Something to distract the masses from howling for our terrible manager's head once more.

I think it is a positive thing to do and obviously it is something that takes a lot of planning. The timing of announcing it, however, is terrible. Fans don't care about that when the very possibility of relegation is looming large. Sack the manager, sign some players, climb the table.. THEN come and talk about how you're going to improve the stadium decor, not before.

I wonder how other teams manage to buy players without selling their best ones to Liverpool. We only ever seem to spend what we make on them. I assume all club owners ferret away the record-breaking prize money and TV cash, yeah?

There is hardly abuse being handed out, just scepticism... which is to be expected when vague or information lacking in crucial details from a new source is presented. Time will tell if the info posted is real or not, but until a reputation is built then expect to get questioned. If you are going to get the hump if people don't swallow what you say without question, then don't post. If you are legit, then time will tell.

Realistic players, not realistic valuations.

Sack the manager. Sell fringe players. Give new manager funds to buy two or three quality players. Go again in the summer.
