"Although, the player himself is in limbo after making it public that he wants a move this summer." He has? Was that article another Crook special or something?
-
That page does not exist.
-
I've missed something. Where were those players publicly doing anything?
-
This thread is an embarrassment.
-
Quite. My mind boggles at how Romeu can be viewed as anything other than a midfield bouncer in the Wanyama style.

Seriously, are we trying to become more like Arsenal by flipping between calling for the manager to be in/out after each up or down?

Every != single occasion.

Saints 1 Norwich 0 - For Once We Score A Late Winner!
SaintMB replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
A win is better than a loss, but that's about all I can take from that game. Didn't really have a clear view of the goal, but we generally showed as much confident attacking swagger as we have all season, ie none. Worst moment for me was in the first half when Long, JayRod and McQueen all stood around the left wing area passing the ball to each other with no idea what to do. The closest person in the box at that time was Clasie. Not really ideally setup for a cross. One day we might actually try and release one of our attackers when they make a run. Until then, we'll just pass sideways or back, nice and safe. Yawn. -

Only one team looking to win it, but we still setup with a relatively defensive midfield who offer nothing in front of goal. We used to have a reputation of playing exciting, attacking football. That's gone now, we're now the boring team that pass around the back and can't score a goal. We're still playing like we did in the UL games and nothing I've seen gives me confidence that the manager can turn things around and get us back to our best. -
Regardless of the merits of the song as a musical masterpiece, the fact that Fonte was apparently a driving force behind it has then acted like he has means it's got to go. Too much baggage.

I swear in the game against Burnley he had about 4 shins and hit each and every one.
-
I've not written him off, just saying he's hardly making his mark on games. Not easy at this level, but he generally seems to take the safe option.
-
He's solid, if unspectacular. He has a poor first touch and his reluctance to get into the box means he'll always struggle to stand out, but he is a worthy squad option.

I think if we come out of tomorrow night still in with a shout, it'll not be too bad. Win / Draw / 1 goal defeat.
-
Plus Chelsea, WBA, Everton, AFCB and Liverpool have not had European games to contend with.. or are those 'freebies'?
-
I hope we get a win soon, if nothing else then to stop these silly 'nobody cares at the club' claims. You have no idea of what they have or are doing for the club.
-
Have you ever listened to the commentary? This isn't a ManUTV style in-house deal, the team, tactics and players all get criticised if warranted.
-
Felt sorry for the lad that his league debut would be tainted like that.
-
Fair enough. I'm still unsure how we can be at home against an opponent so obviously playing for a draw and still end up losing.
-
Why do these 'friend of a friend' style claims never actually name names?
-
We started the season poorly, sleepwalked out of the Europa League with some awful attacking displays and now our league form has taken a hit too (and it wasn't great to begin with). In each game we take any opportunity to stop, pass sideways and allow the defence to set themselves. It's painful to watch and just not entertaining at all. Against WBA it was painful to see how often we chose to take the ball wide and then not have anyone actually enter the box for a cross. The attackers would make runs, but we always look for a safe sideways pass instead of taking a chance. We've been woeful in attack all season, but at least the solid defensive display has done something towards making it more palatable. Now that's gone too, there is little positivity to be had. I fear for the players involved in the LFC semi-final. I think they're going to be on a rough end of a mauling. I'm not quite in the Puel-out camp yet, but there are few signs that he's able to fix this.
-
I can't think of one player in the Premier League that'd be any different.
-
You misspelt idiot. Honestly, what kinda of a numpty would still be whining about the summer give the week we've just had. And to judge Boufal on the evidence of two cameos after 5 months injured and in two of the hardest away stadia on the continent? Jeez.

Ralph Krueger; "The most interesting man in the world".

Reminds me of Elf, when he congratulates a cafe on having the world's best cup of coffee. -
I suspect it'll be the opposite. The team will be fired up, given the injustice of losing their last game.
