If three dropped points meant Cortese decided to explain his decisions and give two hoots about the fans and what our club stands for then I would. Heck i'd rather a few! Not all about glory ...

NOBODY on here has said about not supporting the team, or even, the new manager. Showing support for NA and disgust with how our club has been run is a v different thing to that.

Or will he do whats best for financial motives? I think a club with integrity that takes into account its fan is important. On the field success is lovely but not at all costs. If Cortese honestly cares as little as you suggest about the fans are you happy to sit and nod with this man in charge of your club?!?

Your points been answered If negative results occur it may well occur to NC to give a flying f about the fans and the club next time he makes a decision ... Am I wrong?

Who knows, maybe NC will feel the need to come explain his decisions to the lifeblood of the club, or "us mere mortals"?

If anti Cortese chants create bad results then surely he might consider the FANS next time he makes a decision. If adverse fan reaction = poor performance then future decision making is more likely to take us, the rest of the club, into account.

Again I put up a thread asking for alternatives to get our views across without chanting at the everton game, what did it get? One suggestion to write a letter and a load of tosh about not upsetting the players. Im honestly not trying to be a total wang but, if you accept plenty of us are angry and want to let Cortese know, how else would you suggest this be done ...?

I remember plenty, just your point was strange. Both sides had potential, debt and needed to be restructured. Is your point that because we came from further down se should hush up and nod along? To be fair Chelsea went from mid table makeweights to champions of europe, they'v come quite a way too ... should they also nod along to whatever Roman wants?

He took them over when they were broke and facing financial peril. Chelsea, before his massive investment, were not dramatically bigger then we are now. NC has NOT put money is, Markus did.

Precisely. It might not make a jack load of difference to what NC does but I for one dont want other fans thinking this is how our club acts, its the chairmen on his lonesome.

So you want a stamford bridge style club atmosphere with no loyalty, no soul, no values and a revolving door manager policy essentially becoming one man's personal plaything? If everyone sits and nods along with everything Cortese does then thats what we'l get.

Pure speculation, not a fact. The Pardew sacking was differnet, we were underperforming, Adkins had exceeded expectations time and time again. Even so is being in the premier league all that? Is where the club is more important then what it is? For me, no, for others well mabe ...

Abramovich pumped money into Chelsea, Cortese is a steward of our club. Either way i'd rather be eastliegh then chelsea.

To be honest I kind of feel my point has been vindicated. The only other option put forward was "write a letter". I accept many people disagree with any kind of non positivy at the game and im aware of the reasons why but as of yet no viable alternative has been offered. Today I, and plenty of others, are embarassed and ashamed by my football club and see no other way to make this known. If we had a fan on the board or Cortese actually came out and explained his decisions or engaged with fans in any real way there would be plenty of other channels to air such greivances without upsetting the atmosphere at the game. Now again if anybody has any ideas on how to achieve this other then by being vocal at the everton game or boycotting then please fire away ...

Again, not a suggestion of other options. I am v aware people are against protesting during the game. Im asking you chaps what you would suggest as an alternative? Genuinely open to suggestions (provided they're not about where to shove my question!) ...

Im with you, I agree about much of it. But I think if we do nothing things will never change. Call me an old romantic but I dislike that this is "just the way things are" and I think fans deserve better. Let's have ourselves some German fan ownership and we can bring back a bit of integrity to our club

Utter tosh. A club with no fans WILL die. It is a worthless business. The club and fans cant be seperated much like people would like to suggest.

You don't agree with what's going on at our club yet don't want to do anything about it? I accept we can't change it. I'm not advocating time travel Can we prevent our clubs name being dragged through the mud like this again, perhaps ... For the record i'm going and I plan to support the players and NA. I wont boo the new man, not his fault, but I wont cheer him either!

There seems to be a great deal of "you cant do this ... not a real fan if you do that ..." going on. I'l happily sit quietly in the Everton game if anybody can offer up genuinely constructive suggestions about how else to make clear what people think of what Cortese has done and how he has done it ...
