After 5 pages of discussion on the most insignificant of topics, I mean seriously, the changing of a pasty at a football ground, I can supply all with answers. The primary goal is to serve customers quickly and efficiently, as Turkish mentioned at times like HT and 10 minutes before the game there are many customers and limited time. Previously, pastys and pies had to be oven cooked, some from frozen, and then kept at appropriate temperatures in the warmers. Cooking took up a lot of time, therefore new products were brought in that could be cooked quicker by merely placing them into the warmers where they would cook. Fair enough quality may have dropped, but I'd imagine pukka pies-branded pasties are still of a standard belonging to concourse food. All in all, Mr Cortese wants products that can be eaten using 1 hand, so customers buy 2 things, perhaps one being a pint, therefore increasing revenue, preventing customers requeuing and crowding around limited table space where they have to put one item down. Halo simply want quick service which these new products allow, therefore everyone can enjoy as much of the game as possible, as that's what everyone is there for after all.

His 2 footed challenge that forced yakubu off the st Mary's pitch when we beat pompey 2-1.
-
Don't know if it's been mentioned but ex skate Sherwood is in temporary charge. Pompey and spurs, that'll be some reception. We are firm favourites for this clash and I would be happy with nothing but a win.

Makes no sense. It would only solve the 'crisis' if we got him in now, not for 1 fa cup game. Doubt he'd be signed in time for new years day game and boruc and Davis are expected back for wba.
-
I assume you were born in 86? These guys were a lot older so doubt it was you. Plus, I wouldn't say these opinions annoy me, I quite enjoy hearing funny comments like that about "Shaun Davis".
-
Had these at the villa game, a few favourites: That wanyama has got such a good touch and passing range. Why does JWP take corners and free kicks? Awful delivery every time I've seen him. Then one asks, did you get cork from Chelsea? Reminds me of a young lampard in how he plays. My favourite though was I don't know why Shaun Davis is playing, he only passes it backwards...

Yang-mbia is the worst defender in the league, awful, clumsy, stupid. Every time I've seen him he has made mistakes. Williamson is a good defender,he and colocini will be tough to brake down.

Heard he was in contention for this game although still a doubt. Think that was BBC. Hopefully ready for Newcastle.

Post Match Reaction: SAINTS 1-1 Manchester City

Lovten did play against villa. He got it wrong by making more changes than he needed to and should have only replaced injured players. Yoshida cost us the game and with gazza playing we should have had our strongest back 4. Today our midfield 4 were excellent but Lallana mom for me. Still frustrated with gazza never comig off his line and kicking the ball out of play every time he is at the left side of his box but he saved well from aguero. Clyne would have stopped Kolarov for the goal chambers just lacking pace. How do we stop Newcastle now? -

Our best result of the season, considering the changes we were forced to make. Proud performance and deserved a win. -
Couldn't care less this season, don't have the squad to compete in 2 tournements, with current injuries they can't even deal with the league.
-
Wanyama on crutches, Clyne groin problem should both join the long term injury list. What's the diagnosis for Morgan? What's most worrying is that I noticed Shaw was struggling and only stayed on I think because we had no subs left. He kept stretching and wouldn't run with the ball. Unfortunately I can see this: Gazza Chambers fonte lovren fox Cork JWP Rodriguez davis Lallana Lambert Cropper Hooiveld Yoshida Reed Gaston (forced decision) Osvaldo Gallagher
-
Thought he wasn't tough enough for the second goal bit gazza should also have come for it. Other than that he did well, always an option, retaining possesion and dealt well with benteke, think he became his terrier like self again after his mistake.

We talk about needig a good number 10 and I would prefer to bring in someone that has played well in the EPL. Having watched him tonight I would love for us to bring in Morrison. He's young and English, improving and just the player that would link brilliantly with our forward players and style. Hammers fans also seem to think he will be sold in January because his contract is up in the summer and with west ham not likely to be able to renew it (not sure why) they believe Sullivan and gold will want to get some money from a sale rather than nothi in the summer.

I just read those stats on Robbie savages BBC article on how Chelsea broke us down. Think it sounds worse than it is because it includes the last 5 games of last season where we scored once or twice. I feel it is the cost of our defensive tactics, we don't concede because we defend as a team. We also don't look threatening when our defence knocks the ball around as we allow the opposition to get organised. I feel we look more likely to score on the counter as we get so many forward. What we need to train on is making the most of situations where we are 4 on 4 or 4 on 3 as we make awful decisions like against Chelsea with Lallana and Ossie.

According to the premier league table, this is out 2nd hardest home fixture so far, close to the tigers. After today's result I felt optimistic, we've played arsenal, Chelsea, united and Liverpool away and have all the big boys at home. Should beat villa with this team: Boruc Clyne Fonte Lovren Shaw VW Schneiderlin Lallana J rod Osvaldo Lambert Let's see what osvaldo can do at home where we have possesion and numbers forward.
-
Wow. Our fans seem to have forgotten what it is to loose, now it's chaos! The problem with osvaldo is ego, he's selfish and makes poor decisions. I still think he's our best player in terms of touch and control. However everyone says it takes time to adapt to the league...he's played a handful of games and he gets 1 start up front on his own at Chelsea and doesn't do well. If that was the kind of chance everyone was given Wes be buying a new striker every week. For me, when playing a big team away, J Rod should play up top, as the other 2 aren't able to.
-
Once Chelsea got the first goal we couldn't live with them, tails up. However it's the way they got the first goal that annoys me. Numerous poor refereeing decisions in a few minutes and Clyne didn't foul Torres. Then lampard forces a corner which they score from. This sets the precedence, felt quite comfortable before this.
-
Think a good but of business would be to get Shane long into the squad. Runs for fun so would fit straight into our way of playing, a good all round player and contract runs out in the summer and is apparently keen on a move in January. Wba accepted a 5m bid from hull in the summer so ireckon 3.5 would do it. Think he could be a versatile forward player too.
-
He had a handful of his shirt, if that was us for an equaliser 5 minutes from time you would of started the the same thread if he waved it away. Refs are poor but we hardly looked like scoring and to suggest he has a vendetta because he made 2 poor decisions is stupid. Arsenal were better than our makeshift team, we dust ourselves off and put on a better show against Chelsea with a full strength team I hope.
-
Thought fonte had outgrown those stupid shirt pulls, but he did a couple on Giroud earlier. Like west ham away last year. We have lost this game, arsenal haven't won it...very disappointing.
-
Wanyama dominant, Rodriguez attacking alone, Lambert very poor, feel osvaldo will be introduced by the hour mark, 2 up top?
-
Curbishly doing an analysis on SSN for this game...believes flamini will start...not a clue.

Familiar face still trying to help Saints

Unfortunately this lad seems to have fallen short again, with Eriksens first game back expected to be at St Mary's. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24977941
