MAybe they fixed the microwave? We got in this place quite early, had one very quick and pretty grim pint and left because the consensus was that it stank of stale ****.

I feel sorry for James. He isreally, truly NOT a full back but is being asked to play there because we really have nobody else. He tries his best (I think) but is just not up to the job at the moment. His position had clearly been identifed by Donny as our weak spot and they hit it time and time again in the first half. Having said that, he was given next to no help by McGoldrick who did just wander around for most of the game. There seemed to be so many times that he should have been on his bike, making a run out wide and givin us another option - but he just didn't. When he did have the ball at his feet he looked decent (when he didn't get caught in position before offloading) but just doesn't do enough without it. Pekhart reminds me a bit of Crouchie, only without the touch and the willingness to work. For such a tall guy he seems to win absolutely f-all in the air. KD was outstanding all round , Ollie and Wotton were reasonably solid (despite being let down by James alongside them) and Mills looks a real decent prospect. HE still has a lot to learn (gave the ball away very stupidly on a couple of occasions) but seemd happy to get stuck in and challenge in the air, depsite being a tad small. I thought Cork was pretty invisible, as was Drew for the first half. Much better 2nd half though. Morgan was quietly effective and Lallana was busy and showed odd touches of class. Donny tried to play football and actually looked dangerous at times but once Byfield went off they offered almost nothing. A good 3 points, imo.

By screwing the club that you probably profess to love, via some sort of boycott? Great idea, brains. What those who are refusing to give the club their money because they don't like the chairman seem to have trouble understanding is that they are doing just as much damage as Lowe and Wilde ever did and if falling gate receipts lead us into adminstration, 07/08 and 08/09 will look like the glory years in comparison to what will happen.... It's absolutely bonkers. The club, our club, needs your money now more than ever. Put your prejudices and vendattas aside and help stop our club from falling off a very, very big cliff.

Thing to remember is that there are a hell of a lot of admin and support staff who have been ****ed over by this too - not everyone was was an overpaid tosspot.

There's not a decent young player in the country who is being watched by the big boys. Lallana would have come to their attention well before he ever played for our first XI.

Was he attracted here by our reveolutionary new coaching setup where the emphasis is on youth?
