Haven't you already done this? :smt012
-
It's in Thornton Heath - why expect anything else?
-
No WW in the Red Cow or the Old Ship last night and they're both Youngs so don't hold your breath. It's a right fag to get there from Holborn so we will probably not until be there until about 7
-
Goody good, I do like a pint of Special.
-
Any advances on the horrible Wetherspoons at Thornton Heath for a couple of pre-match bevvies?
-
Charity - what a c*nt, eh?
-
I don't know whether to buy a ticket and go or just head along for a few pre-match beers and then stay in the pub to watch the rugby and keep track of the scores on Soccer Saturday
-
I couldn't agree more when I read stuff like: This place is truly crazy-bonkers.
-
AGAIN. lolz.
-
Uh-huh, OK....
-
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannd, relax.
-
Then I suggest you pour yourself a drink and lighten up a bit. Look, even Alps seems to have raised a smile above, I'm sure you can drop the curmudgeon for a short while, no?
-
Perhaps if you'd read this you might have phrased that differently.
-
I'd fit right in.
-
I am sh1te, to be fair.
-
I was trying to make a little joke-let with Alps (who didn't mention RL initally either, btw), but there we are. Shall we say Started by Lowe, Exacerbated by Wilde, Perfected by Crouch Would that make you happier?
-
How so? Do you think that we were impervious to relegation? Do you think that Wilde and Crouch have managed the financial situation properly? Do tell...
-
I did no such thing  You seem to taking an off-the-cuff quip ever so seriously...
-
No, both Wilde and Lowe have to shoulder their own share of responsibility too.
-
How much did we lose if you remove the rest of our revenue from your calculations too?
-
True, but that kinda leads us on to.... Depends if you really think that Lowe was solely responsible for our relegation or not. Personally I think that relegation, like sh*t, happens. Spend mega-bucks on players or not, keep a stable managerial situation or not - clubs still get relegated. Once it happens the key is then to manage the aftermath properly and that's what Wilde and Crouch spectacularly failed to do, sadly. That's why we are into the sh*t up to our ears (and having to ship out our best players/highest earners) rather than just wading around in it...

Would you rather avoid administration this year and hope we stay up, or accept administration and guaranteed Div3 football next year? I don't think that SJ would put 5000 on the gate. I also don't think his wages are the difference between avoiding/entering administration - but the continued demonstration to our creditors that we are still attempting to control costs might be...
-
Shall we say Invented by Mike Wilde, Perfected by Leon Crouch ?
-
Spend far more than we can afford to by keeping high wage earners and hoping for the best? Isn't that known as the "Leon Crouch Strategy"?
