  1. Oh, you poor, simple-minded person. But, if it were the case, I wish the league would look at all the clubs' accounts at the beginning of the season, arrange them in order of descending finances, relegate the bottom three and put us all out of our misery in the first week of August and let us get on with our lives stress-free. If only life were that simple - now THAT would be 'boring'.
  2. The substitute froze to death waiting for Saints to score at home - even with 2 goals to aim at and the opposition having only the one keeper they still couldn't manage it.
  3. Gosh, there's so much to reply to your short little message. Who cares? - well you, apparently, otherwise you wouldn't have bothered to reply. Who cares about accuracy? - well I do, but, if approximately is good enough for you, you're setting your standards too low. 'It's history' - so are Mike Channon and Ron Davies and Ted McDougall, but I enjoy reminiscing about the days they were at Saints. 'Irrelevant' - not irrelevant actually, but maybe you meant 'pointless' since there's nothing we can do about it now, other than discuss whether we might have done better under Pearson, but no more pointless than discussing whether Channon was a better striker than Ron Davies. Well, got that off me chest.
  4. So, not only did you misread them, but you missed the bit that stated that the team was prepared for the Plymouth match by Dodd and Gorman.
  5. Surely, if they do, he wouldn't be 'living' there.
  6. The one that Michael J Pollard played in Bonnie & Clyde. There's also a physical resemblance.
  7. It was Benayouan, not Kuyt. If you can make such a mistake after the benefit of endless replays you should allow the ref a small oversight, surely. Or perhaps Riley feels like me - any player shielding the ball in the corner like that deserves a foot in the back .......if he's an opponent. Riley is, however, without doubt, the worst of the current crop.
  8. The police say it was an "apparent" death threat. Perhaps they are thinking about it, and on Monday will decide that apparently it wasn't.
  9. Doesn't say consecutive 'Premiership' appearances. Would it be David Armstrong?
  10. Yes, I did (see post no. 56).
  11. Certainly rather irresponsible without further information. It implies it was from a Saints fan but maybe it's from the husband of some woman he is servicing, or from someone who didn't like the food at his luxury hotel. Maybe it was from his barber.
  12. That's because we're pants, not knickers!
  13. Hang on, hang on! IS this what Crouch said, or is it just NickG's interpretation of what he said? Let's have the words verbatim, otherwise this is just another personal agenda-type thread. Link?
  14. So he's going to do tomorrow's team talk by mobile phone? Sorry, but I don't thonk that's good enough.
  15. Didn't see the original article, but click the link now and it looks as though the People has had a call from Rupert!
  16. Wants to stay, maybe, but surely the key sentence is: "The finances at the club though have shown that it doesn't always matter what the player wants. Sometimes money dictates."

    Meeting Today

Not to me it doesn't. Are you saying Glenda trains our players at the same time as his trainees? Without additional pay? Without his own trainees suffering? While JP sits around doing nothing? Without our players being even more confused who they listen to - JP, RL, MW, GH?
  18. Exactly. If working twice as hard is the answer, why hasn't he been doing it already - not waiting til RL gives him some advice? How can he do more than he has been? If he's only been working at half his ability while we were stuck in the bottom places, surely that's a sackable offence. RL hasn't thought it through.
  19. A stink bomb, name-calling, slapping RL's face with a wet fish, tickling his arse with a feather. Where would you draw the line before reporting the offender to the OB? I think we should be told; don't want anyone upset.
  20. There was a forum that was closed within the last year or so as a director, or similar, objected to a statement. Can't remember the club involved and believe the statement was proved libellous - even though it was basically no more than mild criticism. A liitle bit of mild trespassing, however, never hurt anyone. And, surely, the club has made an arse of itself so often recently that they wouldn't prosecute any one for something like that - except David Armstrong!
  21. Very well put, agree wholly with what was said and applaud the effort. Why does adding my comment feel the same as when adding appreciation and condolences after the death of one of our great players?
  22. We have won 1 home game out of 14. Before today Doncaster had scored 17 goals in 26 games. Unless Ferguson can put a word in for us and get all our fixtures changed to away games we are heading fir Div.1.
  23. Actually, they don't even have a manager.
  24. But he never played for us. Now, that Phil Boyer, he was brilliant - one of my all-time favourites.
