  1. You sure there aren't 2 'n's in proffessionnal? Anyway, I'll give them 9.5 out of 10 so far (don't want them relaxing thinking they've got it sorted just yet). The FL will probably give them -10. Oh yes, so they have.
  2. I agree with most others - initially underwhelmed but pleased on reflection. The appointment seems to fit well into what else has happened and been said. Always had reservations about WGS returning, much as I liked the guy. So, a big welcome to Saints, Alan, and Happy Birthday.
  3. Not just because the crap sides he has managed couldn't afford heating in the changing rooms then?
  4. I suggest he has a word with another of our previous managers to see if he thinks this is a good idea. If the big money is on Wise, this is betting as manager, not DofF. Actually, I can't see either working with the other as DofF, they are both too much their own man. Happy to see either as manager, however. Last observation - if McGee is gossiping with his players he may not be WGS's friend much longer. Can't imagine Gordon's been talking to him anyway if he is coming to SMS - would be too busy (unless he's after one of his players, of course).
  5. Gary Speed Paolo Maldini
  6. You what?????
  7. I agree entirely, but the main point I was making was that the mindless abuse given him is undeserved and pathetic beyond belief. Presumably those posting are bunking-off (or whatever the current expression is) from school given the infantile content of their posts and the standard of their English. I wonder why I bother to respond but I think someone needs to suggest they take a look at themselves and their own sad lives. Adams is someone from whom they could learn a lesson. I don't personally believe he is being considered (despite Talksport pushing him again this morning) but I think the qualities I mentioned could be reasons why a club might consider him. End of rant.
  8. '****', 'Tosspot', 'Nutter', likened to Robert Mugabe, dismissed out-of-hand just because he worked for Pompey (so did Sir Michael et al.) etc. etc.. A 'nutter' just because he's read a book, can string two sentences together and says a bit more than 'the boy done good' in post-match interviews!? He has overcome being called a donkey by vast sections of the crowd at every game he played to become the first name on most people's teamsheet, a great captain for a hugely successful team and key player for England. He has overcome major personal problems emerging with considerable maturity and become a highly-regarded coach. What have you lot achieved? You can't even make a sensible stab at answering the question posed by the thread. Shame on you! Having said that, whilst I would welcome him to the club as a coach (especially important to our defence) I believe there are a lot better - and available - candidates for manager.
  9. Picture's been up 4 minutes and no jokes about Dowie's looks - children must all be in bed.
  10. Blimey, that took some doing - misspelling 'qwerty' - or are keyboards in cyrillic in Belarus?!
  11. It may not be common amongst football managers but I don't see why being thoughtful and intelligent should make one a "nutter". I can, however, see why you think it does.
  12. Paolo Maldini
  13. You're right, of course. I think Markus should get Mr. Mugabe in to head up the catering - we don't want standards to slip. Not sure I'd fancy the burgers, though.
  14. MKDons finished 3rd last season and would still have been in the play-offs with 10 points fewer. £5m should be enough. And the last game is home to Southend - made the play-offs last time we played them at home at the end of the season, and what an atmosphere! Looking forward to that already.
  15. Don't really want to defend Meridian but on Monday (which was fortunately Dinenenenage-free) they had a fairly lengthy spot re Saints - mentioned takeover, showed action from Eastleigh game incl. Patterson's goal, and had an interview with Wotte.
  16. Surely you have answered your own question - if you have to ask, they ain't a legend!
  17. Monoco? Sounds like an oil company - should have plenty of money.
  18. So am I being clever in working out that the other goal that earned extra time was an own-goal?
  19. I'm sure they have stretched the photo vertically to give Walter Schmitty more of a forehead and make him look slightly more human.
  20. Always!? You are talking pap, have a very short memory or are extremely young.
  21. I thought he had a pretty good game against Burnley (of the Premiership). HCDAJFU
  22. When you look at who was 'the money' in the Pinnacle bid, do you really believe it was FL demands that ended it? I do not trust the FL for one minute, but do we actually KNOW what they were insisting on or threatening?
  23. I know what you mean. The trouble is I care passionately about the club that used to be Southamton FC; I care passionately about MLT and I really, really want the club to continue. Last week I felt that someone with money felt the same and good times were on their way back but now I have my hands over my eyes - I just can't watch it happening, a crash is coming, it looks like it may be fatal for the club I knew, and Matty is in the front seat.
  24. Hardly solved - if they are of the same race then the difference between Jew and Arab is possibly religion or disputed land, or both. Does not bode well (Google 'Northern Ireland' if your newspaper does not cover these issues).
