  1. Obsessed with pretty footballers, xenophobic if not actually racist, couldn't make it as a pro-footballer; do you have any good points?
  2. So VAT, car tax, duty on alcohol etc. etc. are not taxes and we don't have to pay them. Thankyou, you have just saved me a whole load of money. And I'm sure you also think Ticketmaster are wonderful people, just some kind Americans helping us poor simple people who can't find the telephone number of the box office of our local theatre.
  3. He is clearly a very clever man if he can be both "a faceless cvnt and a charmer". Maybe your grasp of the English language is no better than his. Personally my impression so far is that he is neither.
  4. However, living 100 miles from SMS, I am delighted to see that they have imposed a £3 booking fee for my ticket - a booking fee of 17.6%. As it appears I will be saving £3 by not buying a programme in future as they have stopped selling them - or have they? - that seems very reasonable. Keep up the excellent PR, NC.

    ugly X1

I am neither weird (which I can spell correctly), nor a hypocrite - I have privately laughed at fat people and I have privately laughed at ugly people and I have laughed at jokes about disabled people but I accept it as childish and unkind and have never tried to defend it. I have just got very, very tired of people saying: "isn't so-and-so ugly, gosh they look like some freak in a film, gosh they must have had the same mum, look, if I put their photos together you can hardly tell the difference, isn't it funny". Well no, actually, not that funny, especially for the subject of your mockery. Anyway, I note you have given up because I asked for an intellectually reasoned argument to support your case. I am happy with that and will say no more.

You are ugly. Presumably you were born ugly. I am glad you have been able to cope with it psychologically. If you can put forward an intellectually reasoned argument to establish at which point it changes from being OK to joke about someone's ugliness to not being OK I will apologise to you. Your arguments so far - if they are BORN ugly it is OK but if they BECOME ugly it is not, or that it is dependent on how much money they earn, are simply pathetic. How much money will YOU need to earn before you are happy with your ugliness?

Yep, you're absolutely right. And to show I'm not without a sense of humour I'll join in your fun. Let's do the ugliest soldiers, and I'll start you off: No1 - Simon Weston

Not over-sensitive at all. And although I have never met you I would guess you are average-looking at best, but that your mummy thinks you are beautiful. One thing I do know, however, is that one part of your body IS ugly - your mind. Personally, I am happier having an ugly face.

Childish. Worst haircut - fine, fair game. One with the girliest run - happy with that. But ugliest - unkind and a bit silly. How about trying to be a little more original?
  10. Wayne Bridge. What about Hereford - was that right?
  11. I think you need to: a) read the original post - the charity is for CHILDREN whose parents are inside. (the children are not criminals and, anyway, you can be inside for many reasons: remand, a moment of madness, a moment of carelessness etc., not all necessarily 'criminal') b) grow up.
  12. You don't think there'll be any spin on the £6billion cuts to be announced today, or that the expression 'efficiency savings' is not spin? And spin is not exclusive to whatever government is in power - Daily Mail, Sun, ITN, The Saints OS, Simon Cowell (no, it is not 'unbelievable' that an 81-year-old lady can sing and get most of the notes right) et al.. If you think the government treat you like a moron and let them treat you like a moron, you are a moron. Try keeping your eyes and ears open, get out more and then make your own mind up.
  13. Yeah! Really, really, spanked, by the lovely MU, Bolton, Stoke, Liverpool etc.. These are the fantastically lovely sides that really deserve to be in the Premiership. Blackpool - bloody intruders, sooner they are back down in league one the better!
  14. Pax. You have quoted me correctly but have taken what you read as gospel and not checked your sources before rushing into print! My son got me a ticket at the last minute - I got a parking spot from the internet at 11.00pm Saturday night and I was a happy little bunny. I DO support the new regime - they have done some excellent things (for example, no sponsor on next season's shirt is a fantastic gesture). I do believe the club is in good hands and that their words about wanting to take the community along with them are genuine. But I am not so sycophantic that I will not criticise what I see as (not so minor) faults. NC may have privately told AP he has done well but he surely did not declare undying love. I think AP deserved better with a public show of support (although others will argue that he has done so by keeping him for one more season at least). I thought the new regime would have learned from the results that constant change of manager has not served Saints well and that their 5-year plan was a 5-year plan). And I think the fans deserve an explanation about the programme. 'We printed the programme but pulled it, lost a bit of money - but, hey, Markus is loaded and we sure as Hell ain't going to give YOU an explanation' They initially made all the right noises and are doing well, but there is a tiny suggestion that, maybe, the fans aren't that important. And, anyway, I want perfection.
  15. Blimey, how many things can you get so wrong in one post. There appear to be some additional and anonymous quotes inserted in my quoted text - if they are not yours perhaps you should have checked your sources better first before shooting off. Shows how easily rumours and misinformation can be spread. I did not miss out on the JPT final - ask Franny, he was sat just behind me. I have made no deductions from the press - I see neither the Sun, the Mail nor the Echo. I made my deductions from NC's comments and those alone. I did not say we were like MU - I commented that I did not want us to become like MU and be the toy of power-hungry persons interested in glory or business, or whatever, ahead of being a successful, community based football club. I did not say I was no longer going to support Saints - I continued throughout the Lowe years, for goodness sake! I was delighted with the takeover and all the initial declarations and decisions, the football that was then played and the successful season. It's just that there is now a hint from NC's attitude - his comments re. MLT, LM etc., his refusal to give a reason for the pulling of the programme. his refusal to publicly support Pardew when the Radio (BBC, Talksport etc.) - not 'the press' - were suggesting his position was in doubt since NC was allegedly not happy that we failed to make the play-offs. Far from throwing my toys out of the pram or accusing NC of ruining 'my club' I was merely suggesting that there was a hint of arrogance about NC that, personally, I did not like, and felt was unnecessary, if not actually misguided.
  16. I agree with you to an extent, F'sC, but NC needs to take me along with him if I am to continue supporting Saints. I am not happy about his apparent arrogance and siege mentality; he needs to chill a bit. He is competing in a strange environment against other very capable clubs and I don't expect him to throw his toys out of his pram because he didn't get a prize at the first attempt. I may, of course, have read the signs wrongly but I don't want Saints to get to the situation of the hated MU where we have to adopt the colours of a bygone age to get our point across to a glory-hungry foreign owner that has changed the club for the worse.
  17. Precisely. If I take Frank's Cousin's advice and consider past glories/history mean nothing, given that I no longer live near Southampton and NC is saying that it my & Markus's club now and we will do what we like without consulting you or keeping you informed, why should I care - why should I keep supporting Saints rather than any other club?
  18. First I thought it was just a typo, then I saw you really did mean the grond. I must admit, I've thought he has been showing his age and letting himself go lately.
  19. End of season. CE sums up season on OS (of course he has plenty of time to do this - what else is so vitally important at this time of the season - chosing the colour for his office to be repainted?), says he looks forward to continuing the progress next season. No rumours. No time for club legends to comment. Simples, as you kids say.
  20. Blimey, puppy name/puppy brain, you hold a grudge. And note: A. You accused me of complaining I couldn't get a programme - I didn't; I complained that the club were not giving - and were refusing to give - an explanation for a rather unusual occurrence B. I was not arguing for the OS to be shut down. I said that if it was not for communicating with the fans there it served no purpose and might as well shut down. I am surprised you bother to read my posts.
  21. Of course it did NOT cost us promotion. Not even 'arguably'. He did not know who the other contenders were. He did not know that the club would survive even if he didn't get off his arse and try to help to do something about it. The administrator bloke from the back street office in Southend (whose name I have thankfully forgotten) possibly, arguably cost us promotion. I suppose you also believe Barnard arguably cost us promotion - for not coming earlier. Get a grip.
  22. I like what he says but a little worried about the way he said it. Sounds like it is his baby, his vision and his only and he ain't going to listen to anyone else. Has its merits but, actually, it ain't just his baby. He needs to chill and keep the fans and the staff on board and happy, even if that means being a bit more cuddly towards the Echo whether they are crap or not. The rumours were partly his fault - for saying what he did mid season, never really praising AP and keeping quiet for so long. No. he doesn't have to answer every rumour, but it might be better if he did, and did it with a bit more style. He might not like LM but at least LM had exactly the right way of dealing with the media. NC can learn from those with more experience than he has in all things football. It is not always a good thing to believe that you know best.
  23. Meeting postponed. They've got to wait a little longer to announce it's Ian Holloway now that Blackpool have stuffed Billy Davies (hoo-bloody-ray!) and have another match to play.
  24. Presumably you are called Benjii as you are a little puppy - the club's puppy? They have now said they are not going to give us an explanation - that makes it weirder in my view. If you are happy to be treated with contempt, then OK.
