  1. Just hope we don't' go 3 up in the first half.
  2. Personally I'm disappointed to hear he was ****ed up and talking crap, particularly just after a game.
  3. But, on the train, probably less stressful than driving from Eastbourne to St Mary's - will there be another smash on the Lewes by-pass, will my son be ready, will I get held up where the planners have put a major retail park north of the A27 when everyone who uses it lives to the south, will the Chchester by-pass be solid, will my favourite parking place be available?

You didn't really need this 2nd post to prove you know ****all about football. Sutton's most prolific season at Blackburn was '97-'98 (making him joint top scorer in the Premier league)when Shearer was a Newcastle player. You may not know that he also played for Norwich in the Premier league; this may have been before you were born, but it was still the best league in this country, and he scored 25 league goals in 41 games. As a result of this Blackburn made him the most expensive player in English football. He was versatile, effective, played for England and had an impressive scoring record. I could go on, but somehow I think I am wasting my time. You think he was ****e, therefore he WAS ****e, but a lot of people spent a shedload of cash on him because they at least felt he wasn't.

You might just as well have said "I know ****all about football".
  6. Are you related - e.g. a suitable Case? (for treatment).
  7. Barcelona won the European cup (with a little help from an Argentinian). Check out how many English clubs have won it in the last half century. Just how old are you?
  8. Using the example of an American club managed by a Scot that happens to play in the Premiership and has 3 English players as proof that the English "are not very good at football" only shows that you are not very good at arguing a case.
  9. I think Martin and Seaborne are better options. I say get rid of Martyn and Seabourne.
  10. I gave you one chance to understand but you didn't take it, so here's another. This is not a subjective view, these are facts. 1. Expressed view: Bournemouth rather than Huddersfield gives us a better chance of promotion next season. No it doesn't. It might mean we finish one place higher, but we have still got to perform to the same standard of performance relative to the other teams as we would without them. 2. Expressed view: The play-offs are unfair on Huddersfield. It is possible to argue that they are an unfair way of deciding the 3rd promotion spot. But my point is that there used only to be 2 teams promoted (I accept you may be too young to remember this). The idea of the play-offs was that it extended the interest of teams and their fans whose interest in the season might otherwise be over well before the end. This can include many teams and my opinion is that this is good, very good and Saints have benefited from this - although not with actual promotion, but then we didn't finish 3rd so I suppose you would argue we were quite rightly beaten. BUT it gives the team finishing 3rd a second chance to show they are good enough - fairer than saying 'tough, have another go next year' surely? Or am I just being thick?
  11. All this tosh about Bournemouth being easier for us next season - do you not realise that all the other teams will have to play Bournemouth (or Huddersfield) too, so where's the difference? Some of you are so thick!
  12. Looks reasonable to me - that's the end of his knob that Connolly's grabbed.
  13. I think you are wrong. Purely on fairness, look at this way: there are 2 promotion slots - for those finishing first and second. The team finishing third has not been good enough over the season (however well they may have finished the season) and misses out. BUT, with the play-offs, the season is extended for 4 teams finishing outside the top 2 and they are given a second chance. How can this be UNfair? For the fans the season is extended with a mini competition and a virtual cup final. It's great! And of course Bournemouth deserve to be in there with Huddersfield. They may not have finished the season with an extended unbeaten run but overall they have done brilliantly. But they failed to finish first or second - just like Huddersfield.
  14. How readily to hand is the resuscitation equipment at St Mary's? 1-1 at Plymouth on Monday, 0-0 at SMS on Saturday with 20mins to go and Huddersfield in the lead, I think I'll be needing it!
  15. Can anyone tell me how to get out of this Brighton commentary thread?! And what's also so annoying is that it's a couple of minutes behind the BBC score updater!
  16. Strange that when parodying the speech of an ill-educated manager you say "I would have" but in your own words in your previous post you say "they may well of". Seems 'arry can teach us something other than just how to manage a football team when allowed to get on with it without interference from those who know nothing about the game.
  17. Scott Macdonald would be extremely useful just at the moment.
  18. Careful, you sounded thoughtful and sensitive. That ain't allowed on this forum; I shall be reporting you. You didn't mention, by the way, that BWP appears to have learned from his mistakes. Let us hope that Barnard has too. He, presumably, is excused and would be given a standing ovation were he to make a similar return in a couple of season's time having scored the goals this season that secure our place in the Championship.
  19. No it isn't more democratic. No-one voted for a coaltion; they were not even given the choice of voting for one. A hung parliament was what was voted for and a coalition was only formed because certain people went back completely on the policies and pledges given that people voted for and ignored the vote of the people. Where is the democracy in that? And you are wrong to bring the Lords into your arguement; that is a different kettle of non-democratic fish altogether and is more the subject of gerrymandering.
  20. !00% of those on the electoral role did not vote for this government. It is an invention of Clegg and the boy David so that they can seize power. I think we should be approaching the UN to get a resolution to enforce a "no-fly zone" for when the people wake up and try to seize back power for this undemocratic government. Trouble is, we'll end up supplying most of the arms to enforce the resolution against ourselves, using all that money we've saved by sacking nurses to pay for it. Funny old world.
  21. Ted Bates has to be included given the service he gave the club. Pretty good value for the money I'd say, though probably not in NC's top ten.
  22. Thought it might have been Colin Clarke but Wiki says it wasn't Lawrie signed him. BUT... have you seen that photo of him on Wiki!? The soubriquet 'Bunter' seems as appropriate as ever. Interesting to see he is manager of Puerto Rico though, I shall be looking out for their results from now on!
  23. He can't help being ugly (and actually, to correct you, it is not a 'fact', it is a matter of opinion) but you can do something about your spelling.
  24. Aaah yes, those bucket collections at St. mary's. Embarrassing weren't they.
  25. I'm sure there's a decent keeper in Latvia called Petevin Shiltis.
