Chris Nicholl looks back at last LC Semi- Pretty Sad Article
Dublin Saint replied to once_bitterne's topic in The Saints
Great player decent manager and a real gentleman. Sad to read. -
F*****g hell Two from the past. Andy Rogers. Played 5 games in the early 80s. And David Madden from around the same time. He was so gifted but never really showed it.

One to rival Ted Bates maybe. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-tyne-37339832 The person that did this has obviously never seen Shearer lol

I was delivering the Echo as a paperboy when Keegan signed and was so excited. This was the days when the Echo had one edition and there was no sports news on the radio. I ran home and got my mum to phone my dad to tell him. Season tickets jumped from 60 quid to 95 quid which was huge at the time. Remember beating Man City 2-0 in Keegan's first home game with Channing grabbing both. Season ticket price seemed cheap with what we ended up watching. Anyone remember that volley against Man U that was disallowed for offside. Great days!!!

Looked for Jan 2015 figures but could only find this. Wow some interesting names here. http://www.cityam.com/206328/january-transfer-window-2015-chelsea-and-manchester-city-top-list-premier-leagues-winter

I personally agree with this. Not sure who we could have bought that would significantly improved the team without spending a ludicrous amount of money. I hope that Van Dijk flourishes next to Fonte much as both Lovren and Alderweireld did in the past 2 years. Would like to have seen some creativity but again who? Plus we kept 2 players that in the past we could have lost.

http://www.skysports.com/share/9976568 The net spend of all 20 clubs. Worth a read. Apologies if on here already.

Genuinely think they will struggle this season. Kane is more of a marked man and has that 2nd season syndrome to overcome. Their squad looks weak and though they are quite strong defensively, their lack of depth could be a problem and where will the goals come from. Think I'll have a fiver on MoPo as the first for the chop.

We have the easiest of opening 3 fixtures. Who has the toughest start? http://www.skysports.com/share/9926515 Pointless but interesting exercise.

Totally agree with this. Samuel article doesn't do anything but rubbish us. We have got top dollar for players and progresses. Toby was tapped up by 3 Belgians in the Spurs squad abd ultimately didn't want to come back. With RK in charge I am confident that next season will be as exciting as last.

Summary: Ronald Koeman's pre-QPR press conference

I love this. Makes me proud to be a fan -
MOTD on Saturday. Leicester v Everton, my 9 year old asks why those 2 men are wearing pink!!!! I like Forster and think he'll be worth points this season. Difficult to say based on Sunday though. Thought we had 3 or 4 man of the match candidates and Mignolet was their best player by miles.
