We can only give opinions on what we see on the pitch which in all honesty is a very small part of it all. How a player is seen by the group of players and if he is respected etc are far more important. Personally I'd like to see someone else as captain as I feel it hinders Adam's game

Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere

Looking back at articles from when the ban was handed out, his apology was heartfelt, the club made it clear straight away that no appeal would be made as he was clearly guilty, Couldn't be further from the way Liverpool are going about Suarez ban, I cant really remember the general feeling from Saints fans when the 10 game ban was announced...

Neil McCann. The only player I think I have ever booed off, away at Fulham
-
I'm sure someone will point out a couple of times he has crossed well but from what I have seen his delivery has been really poor.

This. Anyone that has tracked Boruc's career pre Saints will know that lobbing a water bottle in the general direction of fans was the merest of drops in the ocean

People saying this is a trait at the moment have got short memories. As a club this has been fairly common for many seasons

Simon Peach - Deadline Day Journo Special

Closer than most and being a fan understands our situation, annoying when he puts, for example, "We can beat the drop" Adam Lallana tells ME bla bla bla. When the quotes are from a press conference or post match tunnel conference and not exclusive to him at all -
Unless we go down perhaps

Adkins should definitely bide his time. Looking at the bottom of the Prem and in the Championship there are some cracking jobs that would suit him that could be close to becoming available. (Villa, Leeds, even Newcastle)

Definitely the former. We didn't see his best football but he was a good servant, a pleasure to watch

Few weeks ago he tweeted that Guardiola wouldnt be joining Bayern -
He gave not only the team but the whole club a massive lift when he arrived. Was pivotal against Villa and turned the match around. And as for being 'not up for the fight' his performance against Arsenal says all you need to know about how wrong that statement is, tracking back, sliding tackles, he cares alright.

Villa 0 v Saints 1 post match chat & MotM
SaintWill71 replied to SOTONS EAST SIDE's topic in The Saints
When he was put through I immediately looked to see where Guzan was, looked back and Baker had made it back round, I didnt even consider that Rodriguez wouldnt not get one on one with Guzan. Delph was scrappy and broke up play a lot and he doesnt mess around with his tackles. Baker made a number of good tackles running towards his own goal. Again though the only way a defence could cope with Lambert was just to foul him, got no protection from Halsey -
Is it okay for Saints players to dive and cheat?
SaintWill71 replied to the stain's topic in The Saints
In my opinion he dived. The avoiding injury line doesnt add up for me as his other leg goes to jelly to send him to the turf. I dont like diving and dont want to see players at my club do it. On the other hand, we talk of all this learning that we need to do and adapting to the Premier League. Every other club seems to do it, just another lesson we have learnt perhaps. I think its funny also how literally everyone (MOTD, Goals on Sunday etc) ignore the fact Halsey has said the penalty was for the Guzan challenge on Puncheon. -
J-Rod "frustrated" at first team chances.

Anyone else find it odd that the Beeb are right on the pulse for this yet haven't (as far as I have seen) covered Luke Shaw committing his future the the club. The site as a whole now is rubbish. A player wanting to play more football IMO is a good thing, the lad is young and hungry its more positive than negative that is for sure -
I'd prefer a point over nothing

I'm still speechless at the stupidity of some on Twitter and other places saying that the prices are justified because of how rich the City owners are.

The current situation with Saints and the Echo is self detrimental to both sides. Only so much the paper can do with the way it is now, and as for 'investigative' sports reporters, there are next to none of them on local papers as there is rarely a need for them, club and paper relationships are mutually beneficial
