I agree with you, the best 24 should be qualifying. Here’s UEFA’s take on it... “For middle-ranking and smaller nations, the UEFA Nations League will offer an extra way to qualify for UEFA EURO final tournaments. Lower-tier countries – the bottom 16 in the rankings – are now guaranteed one of the 24 qualifying slots for UEFA EURO. Lower-ranking teams who have struggled against sides ranked considerably higher than them will now get the chance to take part in balanced matches. Teams do not learn and progress by repeatedly losing; now some sides will start winning.” It gives the minnows a ‘carrot’ which they never would achieve through regular qualifying. Now there is the argument that the finals tournament will be diluted and they’ll be uncompetitive but then they said that when EURO 2016 was increased to a 24 team event and Wales, NI, Iceland & Albania all won games. That said I’d still rather have the 8 best 3rd place teams in the Euro qualifiers proper in the playoffs though.

Star Wars fanatic? Anyway, good to see the ROI making progress. They conceded one fewer than their previous competitive game! lol

Me too, I’m flying back tomorrow for the Bosnian match. It’s important too, they’re not friendlies. The rankings from the Nations League determines the seedings for the EURO 2020 qualifiers and it’s the only route to the playoffs for the Euros. - 24 Teams at EURO 2020 - 20 teams will qualify outright from the 10 EURO qualifying groups (Winners & Runners up) - 4 teams will qualify via the playoffs Win your Nations League group, you’re guaranteed a playoff spot. Where a Nations League Group winner has already qualified for the Euros outright, their playoff place will then go to the highest ranked team in their Nations League Division (Not necessarily the same 3 team group) who hasn’t qualified outright.

Not sure where you get that info (I know very little about it) but many modern airliners and airport lighting systems have already upgraded to LEDs these days.

I was convinced I’d like VAR prior to it being brought in. I’ve hated it so far.

I’m not bitter, but I hope Brazil smash six in here.
-
England have a decent chance of reaching the quarter finals. However their record of winning knockout games in recent tournaments is appalling.
-
You’re hopeful!... “I am certain off the hope we would have Les Reed”.
-
Get in!

It’s all a bit sluggish from us at the minute.

**** sake.

Well thank his for that! Hanging on a wee bit at the end (that was some save by McCarthy) but a well deserved 3 points today.

Yep, agree completely. Lemina’s been gash recently.
-
Aye, mine too. How times have changed.

I thought the support was alright considering our team is awful. We were in Block 134 (right behind the goal) and the atmosphere was pretty good. Someone put a decent vid on Twitter of the fans singing at 1-0 down. https://twitter.com/tractorsaint/status/988324414067535872?s=21

If we’re to have any chance of surviving we must win this game.
-
It’s a difficult one to call today, the opening goal will be vital. Lose this and we’ve one foot in the Championship.

I managed to get my two after getting kicked off and queuing for a second time. Worth noting that if you’re buying a concession ticket the ‘Ticket Type’ box remains greyed out (thus you’re unable to change it from ‘Adult’) but it updates automatically to the appropriate ticket and price for that specific Supporter Number on checkout.

Two games against Chelsea, which is more important?

It’s a good question, I’d love a cup semi-final win but I want to be watching us in the PL next season. The league game. Just! -
Yep, agree completely.

Reed has to go too, he’s simply living off past successes now.
