Saints boy in Leeds

For me its fairly simple when it comes to the transfers / linked players so far. The good and proven ones like Osvaldo, Ever B and that Nagalin or what ever his name is are always going to choose the top 4 -8 clubs over a club that was in the 3rd tier a few seasons ago and only just managed to stay up last season. Especially with a World Cup round the corner, they ain't going to get picked playing in the championship. I mean if you were offered palace or Spurs who would you sign for ? A team that finished 5th and will not go down or a team that's just been promoted ? The Wanyama thing is clearly all about money on his / his agents part. Thing is he would of signed for Arsenal or Man U by now if he really was that good as they would of been after him, think we may of dodged a bullet there. IMO of course.

I don't really like the new kit or last seasons kit and I won't be buying it either but like you say that's up to me. I've supported saints for 20 years and we've always been in Red and white, so thats what ive bee used to, it does p£/s me off that we don't have stripes again because I actually like stripes on kits, its the gold option that really gets to me though, IMO teams that have won things should have gold on thier kit. But as far as the branding / PL dream goes you have to take your hat off to NC, not sure he needed to change our kit in the process though ?

I'm sure you did mate but there's no way I would risk his position, they may not be the final kits anyway, I don't mind. The away kit but the home is not what I would of gone for.

I have not seen it mate, I have a friend that's quite high up at Taylor made (owned by adidas) and he's sent me a mock of home and away shirts that he was told are the final designs.

The home kit is very close to Itchen Dans versions and the away kit is black.

I'm not to fussed that these top targets have snubbed us (if they all have) I agree that in an ideal world we would have players in by 1.7.13 to start pre season as a squad but I'm pleased that we are not being bullied into paying agents millions. I'm happy that we seem to have the ambition to sign these sorts of players but can't see many of these targets joining us as we are still a small club compared to the big boys that are also rumoured to be bidding / intrested in them. I don't see that we needed to spend 12 million on the Celtic player as IMO we have a sound midfield, just need Gaston to shine and score a few more and play Punch in more games maybe ? IMO we need a couple of defenders purely for cover and a striker to help out SRL, maybe a keeper in case Bozza gets you know what. If we don't sign any others we would still have the window in Jan if needed anyway. I'm looking forward to this coming season and as our current squad stands think we will at least stay up again. Fair play to NC on this one, I haven't seen this guy play for Celtic so I guess he could be the next best thing ? I'd rather us spend a couple of million on back up for our current midfielders and spend more on defence and up front, 12 odd million would take a lot out of our rumoured 30 million war chest.

33, I've lived in Leeds for nearly 11 years now but from Winchester. 1st game I ever watched was at the dell vs Luton Town back in the 90s, remember that we were sitting on wooden benches and think we won 2 or 3 - 1, was ages ago so can't quite remember. It was either that or the ZDS final as our under 14s (I think) went up to watch it, was gutted when Scott Gemmill scored, gutted.

It felt this way to me, was a little annoying with all the guys and girls pestering you to enter a draw to win a washing machine.

They play matches for all of 10 mins after doing a load of obstacles that doesn't involve a lot of ball work. I took my kid to the one in Leeds. There was another lad who plays in the same local team as mine, he is in the the Man U and Leeds academy's that as always stood out like a sore thumb, a natral talent, didnt get picked ou, none of them did. Also the white goods stand which is displaying Samsungs new products and giving out free coffee and snacks might have something to do with it.

It's not a scout thing, its an hour session for a start.

After reading that sounds like he's just what we are looking for, fingers crossed.

Don't know anything about this guy, I'll be rating him on his performances, not his rep or what Internet posts are saying. I can't see the club spending that much cash on a player that's not better than what we have, I've been wrong before though.
