Agree, I'd expect (hope) us to finish around where we are now give or a take a place or 2, this being said even if we just avoid relegation I'd still be over the moon.

So 3 games in and 4 points on the board, a few on this forum seem to be worried or questioning The manager IMO for some strange reason. Yesterday will of disappointed us due to the start we've had but just can't believe there's threads already about the next possible manager. Couple of points.... A. We, at least I hope have all (me included) looked forward to this season, mainly as we managed to stay up last season after the start we had and have now signed some good players. Its a very exciting time if your a saints fan as we are looking like this vision NC talked about is "happening" B. Reality, it seems to be the case that when we lose (even the big boys lose from time to time) then we either need to get rid of players or sign new ones. Good to very good players never play to there ability every game, only the top, world class players perform week in week out, that's why they get paid 1/4 of a mill plus each week and play for the biggest teams in the world, think of when your at work, do you perform to the top of your game day in / day out ? This being said I have to say that a few of our players don't seem to be firing every or any games, GR is one of these. After seeing him play vs Barnsley mid week I still think he believes he has unlimited time on the ball when its at his feet, maybe as soon as he gets the ball we need to shout man on to help I'm out ? C. Our manager. Pochettino obviously has something about him, his subs yesterday didn't make sense to many people, including me but at least he was trying something. I for one will stick by him as I believe he likes it at Southampton and is looking at the long run (season or 2 after this) in these seasons he will have a better understanding of the English game and how it all works. This being said I wish he'd attach himself to us more, sounds silly but wearing the team colour more ( red tie maybe) and show a bit more love to the fans, especially on away matches. I'm still confident he's the right man for us though and a few poor performances let alone one won't change that. We are a good team, we have great support and are going places. All IMO of course.

Surly you agree that to consider sacking a manager with 3 good performances after 4 games at the start of a new season (WBA, Sunderland & Wed night) would be an act of a mentalist ?

Disappointed Clyne isn't starting, looked very, very good defensively and attacking all game against Barnsley mid week, he will be some player in years to come.

Only MLT Pen miss for me, went to the ZDS final though.

I think Gaston needs to play, was good last night when on the ball, all be it against a championship side. He goal was shear glass and touch was very good, he would fit into a Barcalona team IMO where its more about 1 2s and short passes, giving the ball and making good runs but never seemed to get the ball back.

Gaston was much better 2nd half, his composure for his goals was world glass, Neymar style skill. Thought they all did week (inc fox)

I agree with you but must say Gaston lolled ok, should of scores the sitter he missed but he is class, his goal at the end was world class.

6k odd in total, the stadium was 1/4 full, 1 stand had about 50 home fans in, poor effect by them, our fans were louder than the home support, madness.
