Wanyama drawing in the fouls, breaking up play nicely too. Saints looking very positive

Isgrove could prove a jem like Shaw last season, but it'll be a gamble starting with him... Doubt City would want to sell or loan Sinclair, as I imagine with their foreign influx they'll be hard pushed to keep their English players to satisfy domestic player requirements, but sure do hope we can lure him in as he's exactly what we need - someone with a bit of pace and PL experience, who's keen to impress both club and country managers.

My bad... Trust the Beeb to recycle it today http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/gossip/

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/4858010/Scott-Sinclair-is-a-top-target-for-Southampton.html Would be a top loan signing, especially with City reinforcing their midfield/forwards to such an extent this summer. Would fit in with our perceived responsibility of bringing through top home talent. And his brother is a Saint. Could it happen?

NC hates the colour red but love the designs! IMHO I always thought our badge is the best looking in any of the divisions we have been in. Recon the only thing that will happen is the colour change to a silver outline, just like n our away kit this season - was changed at SMS last season. Won't be surprised if we ditch red from the strip completely in a year or so

Way before my time I'm afraid, wiser now however. As regards EPL regulation on numbers - completely pointless, however I do remember Balotelli wearing 45 and Toure on 42 - is that based on squad size including youngsters and reserves?
-
Not another Obifem.... Hope we've employed Madrid's tactics and reserved shirt 67 to sweeten him up

Comfort Blankets of possession, fixtures and other teams games

1) The fact that we had 2 back to back promotions - not enough time to judge who will be good enough for the prem and who wont, nor to get any decent squad depth 2) Playing Danny Fox and Guly - self explanatory 3) Hooiveld scoring own goals for fun and just being laughable at times. Why have we still not played Forren?!? 4) Lack of a big robust holding centre mid -
this guy was recommended by that Lars bloke as man in the know for Forren - @RBFlemma. From what he's tweeted and Norweigian articles posted seems like Lundekvam was playing Cortese's role in this one. Tomorrow can't come soon enough, should hopefully be a Saint by then!
-
Would be a great signing, hearing there's big interest from a few Italian giants though... Can't argue with him looking decent though, lets hope Cortese gives him the Ramirez treatment On the topic of Italian CBs, seeing a few rumours about Bocchetti being unsettled at Rubin Kazan - could be a cheaper option?
-
End of the day you can't expect a side that clinched consecutive promotions to have all the areas sussed out, especially against the top 4. We've not had time to consolidate, especially in defense because we've reached the Prem well ahead of schedule. We were always going to have very little points going into first 4 games. Nige will get it right eventually but it will take time and real balls from all the lads on the pitch. I just pray to god that 'Arry doesn't make a comeback
-
IMHO I think we only lost because Guly didn't play

Couldnt agree more. **** tattoos and an alien shaped bold head a must

I doubt that even Al Habsi would have saved wigans first; one on one for the second was a strong finish also
-
Yea fair enough, but he's not got any height to add to the pack in the box. Thought Steve Davis was a set piece specialist?
-
First half we were matching them, second half we played sloppy, so many missed passes, Fonte thinking he's got days on the ball being last man back. Lallana shone through as ever but fair play to Wigan, very disciplined and too witty for us at times. Don't think it warrants a cause for panic though, the boys are still getting used to the ropes and perhaps start Punch and Guly on the flanks around Lambert, a sturdy CB wouldn't go amiss either but even if we get one in before Arsenal and Man U doubt Nige would play him as he wont settle in that quick.

Bloody right there should, everyone's been too busy to have one pressing f5 on this thread for the last week!
-
If he signs then I recon we should have a local public holiday in his honour even though the whole thing so far is nothing but a waste of nerves. Or will this go down as the longest running thread where the player never signed?
