You obviously never went to the Norwich game, because if you did you would know that unfortunately Gaston is not yet upto speed. the OP said he would probably play Jos to conteract old horsey featuresand then does not list him in the starting 11. there is absolutely no reason that you cant play both Ossie and SRL even if SRL is played in the hole. I would prefer to see him as the target man with the likes of Ossie and Jayrod running off him. Especially for home games where we know it is upto us to break down the opposition. my preffered starting 11 for home games would probably look like this. Boruc Clyne Yoshida Louvren Shaw Wanyama Spider Lallana Jayrod Ossie SRL

Transfer deadline day thread (Summer 2013)
Stevie61163 replied to Ivan Katalinic's 'tache's topic in The Saints
I dont think that it is a question of being scared to drop SRL. I think that with the additions, MP has now got too many options and still does not really know what his best starting starting 11 is. Last year with a limited squad it was so much easier to have a regular starting 11 and apart from injuries that never changed. This season with the depth of squad we have finding you best 11 becomes a lot more difficult. I would be tempted to go back to last seasons starting 11 and then try to introduce the new signings as and when required. The obvious exception to this is Louvren who is head and shoulders above what we started with last season. Pablo and VW would have to wait for their opportunity and then hopefully grasp it with both hands. I do feel for Corkie in all of this and would like to revert back to Corkie and Spiderman in CM. I just hope that it is not too late. To keep this on topic I would welcome a playmaker/winger type to replace JP but that is all. -

I dont really see what all the fuss is about!!!..........if the club advertised well in advance when ST`s were going on sale and when sales would cease, which thet did, and you never had the funds or the inclination to buy one in this period that is hardly the clubs fault. its no good now whinging and moaning about it now. rubbish people on this site make me sick moaning about our club when it is obviously them in the wrong. I never had the funds at the time so had to go down the DD route, I never wanted to do this but if i wanted a ST that is what i had to do. The differnce is i never came on here moaning and groaning that our club is sh1t because of it.

page predictions for this signing please..............mine is page number 68

Hi Nick, just out of interest why do you not get a ticket when they are on sale. if its because you are not a ST holder then i would suggest putting a request out to ST holders to be able to use there customer number if they are not going to this match. this will also allow the ST holder to build up a good purchase history giving him priority for the more popular matches. with something like 22k-23k ST holders i and usually only 2k-3k away tickets available this proposition would be attractive to most ST holders. Good luck in pursuit of tickets.

If The Lad Who Was Ejected Yesterday Needs A Witness
Stevie61163 replied to Gemmel's topic in The Saints
The lad that got ejected was my nipper and although I don't condone his actions sometimes you get caught up in the moment. What with a great summer of new signings and the excitement of the build up to the new season you go to one of your close rivals who just happened to teach you a football lesson on both occasions last season and play them off the park with nothing to show for our superiority. Then in the final minute we get awarded a penalty right in front of the travelling army with SRL looking to cap a perfect week. SRL steps up and of course buries the spot kick. The fans go wild, the players go wild and nipper caught up in the euphoria of the moment hurdles the advertising hoardings to celebrate with the players the acquisition of a successful 3 points. I would like to make it clear at no point did he get on or attempt to get on the field of play he was only on the cinder track. Having seen the heavy handed actions of the stewards and the bruises on his upper arm and chest it is such a shame the stewards could not show a bit of common sense and compassion to a fellow supporter. -
Now sold out according to the OS. does anyone know if there are any plans to apply for more. and what happened to the "everyone that wants one will get one" brigade

Will this current squad propel us into Europe?
Stevie61163 replied to Barry Sanchez's topic in The Saints
I think that what we have got to be mindfull of is the dreaded second season syndrome that nobody has yet taken into account. We will no longer be the suprise package that plays the high tempo pushing game. and players such as Lambert, Lallana, Rodrigues, Shaw Clyne and the rest will no longer have the element of suprise for our opponents. The good teams will by now already know how we play as a team and how certain players play and will have solutions in place. So with all this in mind have we now got enough new players to create that element of doubt in the opppositions minds ..............and i have to say yes to this Wanyama, Louvren, Chambers and Isgrove will still give us that edge. MP knows how he wants us to play and we have the players to ensure this happens. I think that we what we have right now a mid table finish is most likely but a higher top 8 finish wouls not be much of a suprise either. If we can get the 2 extra players that the team is crying out for up front than i think that a european spot is to be expected. But remember QPR they were going through all the same type of questions this time last year and we all know how that ended. -
I`ve renewed all 3 of mine in block 2 row aa

George it never mattered which way the club decided to do the away allocation there would always be people that were not happy. from my own point of view being one of those that managed to go to most away games last season i would of been a bit miffed if we all started with a clean sheet this season and then i would of had to compete with all this seasond JCL`s. i was just fortunate that i was able to go to so many last season perhaps more people like yourself should of made more effort if possible.
