when did Sammy go.........source

I can`t wait to get back to league action after the bore fest that is England All internationals should be scrapped as pointless and Hodgson, Rooney and co dumped in the nearest sewer!!! Any rant over back to this weekend Every game against Stoke is a tough physical game but a game that is very winnable especially at home. our strongest side which by the way does NOT include Yoshida at right back should be too strong for Stoke Lets just make sure that when we get a 2 goal lead at home that we do not retreat back into our shells and give the initiative to the away team This has so nearly cost us in the last 2 home games. Pelle to score 1st 3-1 Saints

Obviously an older poster that hàs very poor hearing it was actually "if Pelle scores were on the ****"

I have been stopped by a steward for smoking an e cigarette in the itchen north who took great delight in showing me his rule book stating that e cigerettes are banned inside St Marys

Trolling skate ****!!!!!

i think that the original point that I was making was not really who was the best, but with the way St Marys is set out is that if you are not directly opposite the section that is singing you don't really hear it. Very often I go home thinking that the Northam has not sang all game because it is very rare that we hear them in the Itchen North. The only thing I will say is that when the Itchen North get the OWTSGMI going repeatedly for 10- 15 minutes continuously the away fans do not have a clue how to respond. they may try to drown us out but it only lasts a few seconds and then we are right back on them with OWTSGMI. It would be great if both the Itchen and Northam kept this up together rather then keep singing anti-pompey songs. I would much prefer that we get behind OUR team vocally to really give the boys on the pitch a lift.

Did you go mate there support was the best I have heard in the prem for a long time Really? The one section of fans next to us. They were quiet afl second half! They had a pretty long rendition of 'when the Saints go marching in, I thought they were pretty loud to be fair, they were also very appreciative of the 'Jeremy Kyle' song* more views from the opposition Y Read more:*http://oatcakefanzine.proboards.com/thread/236051/back#ixzz3HFxjivnl

The section too the left as you look out at the pitch were singing all game with the ones too the right occasionly joining in all in all it made for a good atmosphere just shows what can be when the corners are filled in as for the game were very female friendly plenty of fore play and flicking it around the box but all us fans really want I'd a bit more penetration when in the box ie shoot Read more:*http://oatcakefanzine.proboards.com/thread/236051/back#ixzz3HFuNaLZM From where I sit in block 2 The Itchen North is far more vocal than The Northam. With sustained vocal support for the majority ofthe match not just sporadic outbursts. This is a view especially borne out from the oppositions viewpoint.

online booking system let me have 1 ticket but when i rang the TO they said i was not elegible yet. I checked on the system becuase i was not sure i was eleigible because i had only got 3 extra games although i did have 2 tickets for Villa. the seat i wanted is not displayed on the stadium seating plan so i rang the TO to get a specific seat. only to be told that i did not have enough games to qualify. while on the phone to the TO i actually booked online the nearest seat to my ST. The operator could not belive it. i did explain that as far as i was concerned theoriginal remit was that you had to have bought 4 home tickets but itdid not specify that these had tp be different games. oh well never mind i am booked now.

I was at the match last year and witnessed this lady falling face first onto the concrete. It appears to me that she was jostled by her own supporters who happened to be standing in an all seater arena and like the old days when you used to see the surge of the kop when Liverpool scored she was alunched forward with nothing infron of her to stop her. i belive she was in the 2nd or 3rd row and went right over the top of the people in front. from what i saw there this was not a "good" way to go as she lived through this ordeal for some weeks but never fully got over it. It is such a shame that a die hard life long supporter of a football club should suffer in this way. I for one will be more than happy to join in a round of applause for not only a fellow football fan but a fellow human being.

remember going to Forest in a FA cup 5th round replay on a cold wednesday night..........we played the 1st half absolutely magical should of been 4 goals to the good but ended up going in only 1 goal up without reply.....that wiley old fox Cloughie brought on a young Nigel Jemson and in typical Nicholl style go all out to get the lead then try and defend it Jemson went on to score a 2nd half hat-trick and we lost the game. I think this just about summed up Nicholls team of the time could and would play some of the best football that i have ever seen from Saints until we got the lead and then tried to sit on that lead with a very mediocre defence............why oh why ddin`t we continue our great attacking football

My oldest lad had a picture of my youngest celebrating with SRL after his 90th minute penalty at WBA put onto canvas. When we played Swansea a few weeks ago he was down the stadium at 09:00am to get it signed by SRL. the players started arriving soon after this from The Chapel end car park. The only reason that I mentioned the opponents and time was to give you some idea what time to get to the ground for a regular 15:00 KO.........Good Luck

are you f*cking kidding me????..........get yourself to The Green Man what a great pub that was for out JPT Final packed with Saints and a great atmosphere!!!!

How much clearer can they make it??? All sales dates are subject to remaining ticket availability. Please note that only games that have been played prior to the first on-sale date above – Tuesday 29th October – will count as credits for this fixture. For the avoidance of doubt, these games are: West Bromwich Albion (17/08/2013), Barnsley (27/08/2013), Norwich City (31/08/2013), Liverpool (21/09/2013) and Manchester United (19/10/2013). Double post alert..........why dont you check before sending twice.......

that would be a disaster as that will wipe out 50% of our local away games.

'The best coached team in the league by miles..'
Stevie61163 replied to Ulrich van Gobbel's topic in The Saints
great piece in The Irish Times of all things.............. Southampton were underdogs who did not behave like underdogs. The chairmen of almost every other Premier League club must have been looking enviously at Mauricio Pochettino’s side and wondering why their own managers can’t seem to get their players to perform with such focus, energy and cohesion. In a league where the managers are relentlessly overexposed, Pochettino remains a slightly enigmatic character, owing to his refusal so far to speak English in public. It is clear, however, that he has succeeded in capturing the imagination of his Southampton players. You could see that from the merciless chasing they gave Manchester United throughout the second half on Saturday. It’s not easy to play the way Southampton do. There is nothing in football more demanding, physically and mentally, than pressing the opponent high up the pitch. Still, it’s hard to imagine that Southampton’s players walked off the pitch at Old Trafford exhausted. Pochettino’s success shows that players respond to a manager who offers them blood, toil, tears and sweat – at least until success makes them decadent. Southampton are fourth in the table, having conceded three goals in eight league games. Eight games into last season they had conceded 24 goals. The signings of Victor Wanyama and Dejan Lovren have surely helped, but this is largely the same squad Nigel Adkins was working with this time last year. One hopes the FAI are taking heed of what’s happening at Southampton. They’re punching above their weight thanks to a game plan that makes sense and a manager who has succeeded in instilling a sense of fearlessness and enterprise. -
