I like to think we would give Damiao an attractive option. He will be looking to have an active season in a highly competitive league in the run-up to the WC. Signing for Saints would probably guarantee him more starts than signing for a "larger" club and having to fight for a place in the starting line-up. Even if he sees us as a stepping stone it could work out well for both parties. We can dream can't we?
