  1. Gawd...look what happens when I go to walk the dog for and hour...a bloody discussion has broken out!! Teenagesaint was right...you're all stupid.
  2. So you have spoken and it's no longer debatable...thanks for that in depth insight we'd never considered before.
  3. I like Charlie Nicholas...respect his opinion...doesn't seem to owe any particular allegiance when summarising.
  4. Couldn't see this posted anywhere else... http://www1.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/9062957/nicholas-praises-saints? Please remove if posted elsewhere...and change the embarrassing speller in the title...thanks.
  5. I think "Animal" makes his sound like an old fashioned hatchet man and of course he's far from that. I think he needs a far smoother and more sophisticated name...how about "The silent assassin";)
  6. Don't rise to it...it's patently obvious he's a skate...if everyone puts him on ignore he'll crawl back into his hole.
  7. Don't need it...60 years of the highs and lows gives you a perspective on defeatist bleating. Live life as realistic optimist and every little upset soon takes its place in the damp stained cardboard box at the back of the shed. I'll enjoy the win even more than the pessimist who think the game is lost before the first whistle.
  8. Three One Threeee One Three One Three One....Three One Three One Threeeee Oneeeeah. Three One Three One Three One Three One Threeee One Three One Three Oneahhhh. That's 3-1 to our gallant lads of course...looking forward to the game, ready to croak out all the old songs and get behind the boys.
  9. The answer on that aspect was an obvious agreement that neither of us thinks that true. However if you wish to continue this in juvenile, point-scoring fashion...post away. I'll be elsewhere.
  10. Again you're being selective in your answer or you really didn't realise, "Playing a weakened side against Sunderland was a calculated risk...a risk that failed OK. This is what happens every season in the cups with Premiership clubs...limited squad resources vs. hectic schedule vs. need to blood promising young players. Everyone knows the physical demands of playing in the Premiership...there are no easy games in which to rest key players or to give fringe players or promising youngsters a chance of football at a higher level; using cup games to do this is a fact of life." Of course it can be done but are you saying during their cup run Swansea did it without taking the same "calculated risks." I very much doubt it.
  11. I don't think anyone here has said the LC is beneath us...that's just someone's negative twist on what's been said. Playing a weakened side against Sunderland was a calculated risk...a risk that failed OK. This is what happens every season in the cups with Premiership clubs...limited squad resources vs. hectic schedule vs. need to blood promising young players. Everyone knows the physical demands of playing in the Premiership...there are no easy games in which to rest key players or to give fringe players or promising youngsters a chance of football at a higher level; using cup games to do this is a fact of life. CB Fry and BS well know these facts but choose to ignore them...the true sign of a Troll. As genuine Saints fans I'm sure we'd all like to field our strongest possible side every game but until we have the resources, prioritising Premiership games is our only option.
  12. Just had the windows in our bungalow replaced. Very pleased with the quality and efficiency of Outlook: http://www.outlookwindows.co.uk/ A local company with an excellent reputation.
  13. Happy birthday nipper. I was there too on that Easter Monday to see his debut. Have a good day youngster...he's six days younger than me.
  14. Seems like a marriage made in heaven.
  15. Well normally yes...but this is Poopey so "normal" doesn't apply.
  16. Is see Lloris has shipped 5 goals today (so far). I wonder if Spuds fans will afford him his own topic with many, no doubt calling for his head. Hero one day...s**t keeper the next.
  17. There...fixed it for you. "WTF was that?" An error of judgement...they happen in football.
  18. You have to ask will the awarding of that penalty reduce shirt pulling in the penalty area...No. You have to ask will the awarding of that penalty reduce Fonte's shirt pulling in the penalty area...No. Why...because awarding a penalty for shirt tugging has now become discretionary. All players know only a small number of infringements are punished. The Referee association don't have the wit or wisdom to cope with the problem. Just like Giroud giving Boruc the hand-off in the chest to rob him of the ball...time was you couldn't touch a keeper...no excuse though.
  19. STFU...the guy's a hero. The best keeper we've had since Niemi without a doubt.
  20. Wanyama MoM by some distance. Boruc's howler...was just that. Watch the penalty tonight and ask yourself if it would have been given if it were at the other end. It looked like Fonte was picking fluff off Mertesacker's shirt. We acqitted ourselves well...considering the rejigging in defense.
  21. I like it...I like it a lot. It not only sends a very loud message to the top academicians aiming for the first team but to top talent everywhere. It's a way we can better the top teams in this country and perhaps in Europe too. The clear path from Academy to Premiership Football isn't just a "mission statement"...it's already being implimented.
  22. I think you're being unfair to "Sotonjoe"...it's not clever to kick a man who is clearly not the "full shilling"
  23. Not important...in the run of things what a few radio listeners think will have no bearing on how they play in the Premiership. Does anyone here vote in these pointless trolling exercises.
