  1. Pleased to hear he's making progress...hope he's back in the Chapel End soon.
  2. RIP Sir.
  3. Wow did he try to make up for his howler. How Cabaye stayed on the pitch I don't know...a booking followed by and other two bookable offenses in quick succession and got away with a stern finger wagging. The late challenge on Nasri was worth a sending off...all in all a stunningly inept refereeing performance.
  4. As an improving asset he's not going to lessen in value. I say keep him, let him develop further and see where we are in two years time. If he develops in the way most in football think he will he could be worth even more.
  5. Well thank goodness for that. We sit just in front of the disabled section in The Chapel and saw it all unfold in front of us. We couldn't see much as the poor chap was surrounded by stewards and St. John's Ambulance people but it's reassuring to know they were onto it very quickly. Lot's of surrounding people were ushered away to make room for all those who needed to be there. A really big congratulations and thanks to all those who took part in a life and death situation...ALL SAINTS. Hope he'll back watching the lads soon.
  6. Fear not...this isn't the real world. If it were the usual naysayers would have been kicked to death a long time ago.
  7. RIP Phil Everly (on the left in this video).
  8. The Cup has given me some of my best and worst memories of my Saints Supporting life and before I throw off my mortal coil I'd like to see us win it once again. Will I be going tomorrow?...of course. A cup run...my Dad always took me, if you can afford it you should be taking your kids.
  9. Here's another aspect of the injury/feined injury routine that needs to be addressed. I started this topic the other day...it's a real irritation for me: http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?48229-Arsenal-Chelsea-game-What-is-going-on#.UsahFfRdW3s
  10. Who's to blame? It has to be said...Clattenburg has a lot to answer for. Apart from that I think the vast majority of fans have got it right...it's been an excellent season, we're playing an entertaining brand of football despite not scoring as many goals as we should have. Not too worried about the "marquee" signings as they are a signal of ambition as well as an aid to performance. I'm sure even the nay-sayers would get a buzz from seeing them eventually produce a return on their outlay. If blame ever needs to be apportioned it comes at the end of the season.
  11. I've told them not to water the pitch at half time! If this is allowed to go on we're likely to lose at least one of the smaller half time relay runners.
  12. Suck it up you snivelling wimps...do what the rest of us have had to do from the Dell days when we stood in the pouring rain without any cover watching our lads getting spanked by better sides. Sometimes we sang our hearts out to the bitter end, sometimes we didn't but at least we were there at the end to applaud the team off after 90 minutes...it's called being a supporter, defiant in defeat. There is nothing more embarrassing in football than watching half the supposed support disappear to the pub at the first sign of defeat.
  13. Not for sale...his contribution far outweighs any money we could get for him.
  14. Agreed...can't take away his contribution...it was significant. Thanks Guly...hope you had a good day.
  15. Makes no sense. Part of the long term plan is to integrate the Itchen waterfront into the current site. What would they extend into at the Ford site...a scenic walk around Swaythling Cemetery?
  16. What's all this rating of Saints Legends. There is no need, they are all equal in importance to the club; they all gave something extra to their era which made them special. It's an insult to rate because in doing so you lessen their contribution...they are all unique, that's what Legends are about being different. Nothing would be better for the club than for Rickie to finish his career at St Mary's.
  17. Jeez is that going to make you happy!!
  18. What's the point if we're going to lose 0-3?
  19. I've heard Dani has a bad neck and it turns out yeah...now don't quote me on this...a large growth on his neck is turning into a second head. Don't shoot me...just a rumour.
  20. Clattenburg was very poor...has he ever played the game? Needless to say the penalty would have been given it had happened at the other end.
  21. This has been done to death over the years and the potential for another 100 repetitious pages. Please, please lock this mods or move it to a quiet backwater, I have no wish to watch history rewritten in every way possible...let's live in the present.
  22. It's a job...if someone laughs they're a comedian: http://www.thefreedictionary.com/comedian
  23. Naa...too working class...why would we want to go that route again.
  24. The Smiths anyone?
