What truly is the point of celebrating a Saints Day? As for being proud of being ignorant I suppose what I meant is that I'm proud to have more in my life than waking up one morning and thinking 'Yippee it's St. Georges Day, let's hoist the flag and get ****ed.'
I am proud of the fact that I didn't even realise it was St. Georges Day until I heard it mentioned on the radio at about 11, what a load of nationalistic ********
I went to school with Steve and knew him well and he was /is always a Saints fan through and through. He was on our coach for the 76 Cup Final on crutches if I remember rightly
does my youngest son (he's 22) deserve for sticking a 'Pompey till I die' sticker in the back window of my car late on Saturday and I never spotted it till Monday dinnertime. Sunday we went down through the Forest and onto Highcliff where we parked for a couple of hours. Needless to say I have burnt the car out as it is now too badly tainted.
Yes thats true, I was at Fratton when Channon scored in the last minute, one of the last games of the season, oh how the Fratton End emptied and the Milton End filled haha
Its just occurred to me that on May 1st 1976 I saw Saints win at Wembley, at the end of the same month I saw the Who live at the Valley (Charlton). On Sunday I saw Saints win at Wembley and last night I saw the Who live at the Royal Albert Hall.
..and it doesn't matter anymore as they have no chance now of staying up so I really don't see the point of him staying...and on another issue Grant is proving himself to be the biggest arsehole involved in football
