  1. Sorry to re-raise an old post, but wishing you a great season in the Premier League, and a long successfull stay. Were off to Yeovil.........hell!
  2. Just to let you know I am not alone amongst my fellow Coventry fans, at the congratulations we offer you, and good luck we wish you for next year, here is a copy of a post from a fellow poster on the SkyBlues forum I go on, I've met loads of Saints fans while I've been down here and every one of them a real fan and supporter of both their club and the game itself. I feel closer to Southampton FC more than any other club now (obviously after CCFC!), as I have the utmost respect for true fans of the game...... Cov and Southampton will forever be a lot closer as clubs and supporters, even though, for now, we are two leagues apart. Congrats on their promotion. Youre fans were a credit to your club today and you have got a huge amount of admiration from us Sky Blues. I also thank the Saints fans who have been on our forum to wish us luck down in league one, and for those that complemented our support today.
  3. Congratulations to you Saints, a well deserved promotion and I wish you all the best for next season. I knew we would capitulate today...we were just the right team to play for your much needed last day win. I would love to say we may join you in a couple of years, but the way its going it may be about 50! Once again congratulations, I am sure you will more than hold your own next season and will enjoy a long Premier League stay, and thank you for being some of the friendliest, most respectfull opposing team fans I have ever come accross.
  4. No the idiot decided to sit on the bench, yes the bench, with the coaching staff earlier this year, and after the awful press that followed (and has generally been attached to us all year) Mr Ken 'orange tan' Duliey was forced to resign...only to be replaced by another clueless sod. It says something when your board has more incomings than the squad but thats just a small part of the story!
  5. I think tomorrow you would prefer the 8-2 drubbing you gave out to us only a couple of years after the amazing 5-5 draw!
  6. I just wanted to come on the site and say something which goes against my usual support for my team, and that is that I hope you win tomorrow and go up. I think there are many many Coventry fans, who would agree, whilst wanting us to win our games, and support our team, tomorrows result is irrelevant to us, and very relevant to yourselves. I have always liked the Saints as you seem to have similar fortunes to ourselves (well apart from SISU) and are a similar club. Also growing up in a period pre the Premier League I have seen many many Coventry Saints games, at a time when we were both longstanding in the old first divison, many of which were good entertaining games. I am pleased to see your resurgence under a good manager, and can honestly say that missing out on SISU was one of the best things that ever happened to you. Unlike the Skates who have continually lived beyond their means we are being run into the ground by a clueless bunch of faceless money grabbing leeches who have mortgaged everything at the club to the hilt and are now looking at cutting any funding. In short we are screwed. We may not exist in a years time. I hope you get the result you want tomorrow, hope you succeed in the Premier League next season (look at swansea and Norwich it could easily be you) and hope when our white knight takes us over from SISU (wishfull thinking) that we meet you next in the Premier League in the future. Do us a favour though, when you are two or three up tomoorow please if you can join in the SISU out chants in between celebrating it would be much appreciated. Cheers, Moff (40 year old fed up depressed Coventry fan looking foward to an away day at Shrewsbury next year)
