Hughes, really. Is that where we are at now. If so, clearly a 5h!t load of fckup's have taken us to this point and I'm concerned that those making the decisions have not paid the price for their obvious inadequacies. Yes we've gotten rid of the clown that was Pellegrino, but Hughes, Mark f'ing Hughes... jeesh

Can't say that i'm not glad to see the back of him and hopefully the dour way we have been playing for the past year or so (including the dreadful end of season run under Puel). I'm not too confident though that Uncle Les and Co will do a great job of picking his replacement - but I'd be happy if we went for Bilic. Bilic has something about him which will shake up the squad which is needed.
-
We need to rethink how we line up for these types of games - a more front footed midfield is needed. I'm f'cked off with this crappy defensive minded play. Put the f'ing pressure on to the other side. ---------------- McCarthy ------------------ -- Pied -- Stephens -- Hoedt -- Bertrand -- ---------------- Romeu ------------------ ---- Lemina ------------- Hojbjerg --- --- Boufal --- Gabbi --- Tadic ---
-
what about ------------ Traffic Cone ------------ ---- Yosh - Hoedt - Stephens ------ Soares ---- VVD ----- Bertrand ----- Davis --------- Lemina ------- ---------- Boufal ------ ------------------ Gabbi ---------

But what happens say if we don't receive any acceptable offers for him? Just because he thinks that LFC will submit an offer it doesn't mean that we've actually got one. "Sorry Virgil, I know you thought that they were going to bid, but we've just not had anything come in. I think you've been had....."

Whilst I'm no big fan of CP and feel that his dourness is not what Saints expected after the likes of Koeman, Mauricio and Adkins, I'm firmly of the opinion that the real issue with the reported dissatisfaction within the squad lies squarely in the appointment of Mr E Black to the coaching team. He has a long and unchallenged record of creating disharmony at a number of previous clubs and I'm prepared to gamble on getting rid of him before we dispense of CP.

Top 5 1. Chelsea 2. Man City 3. Man Utd 4. Arsenal 5. Spurs Relegated - Hull, WBA, B'mth Saints - somewhere in the 10 - 14 range because the Europa League games/travel etc. will highlight the lack of depth in the defensive capabilities of the squad. However, I'm certain we'll finish above Leicester.
-
I'm concerned by the lack of defensive options we have I'm unconvinced (at this stage) by Claude Puel I'm happy about the acquistions of Hojbjerg and Boufal, less so with Redmond We have no chance of a top 6 finish - need to look to win the best of the rest league (Us, Everton, Stoke, Leicester, West Ham etc..) Europa league is exciting, but also due to lack of quality in depth, maybe our downfall this year Can we please try to win a cup this year.

Relegated after further player sales.

Global warming really is happening... (well, duh!)
Saint Paul C replied to 1976_Child's topic in The Lounge
Quantitative analyses of actual measurements rather than modeling have shown that “global warming” has been heterogeneous over the surface of the planet and temporally non-linear. Residual regression analyses by Soares (2010) indicated increments of increased temperature precede increments of CO2 increase. The remarkably strong negative correlation (r = −0.99) between the earth’s magnetic dipole moment values and global CO2-temperature indicators over the last ~30 years is sufficient to be considered causal if contributing energies were within the same order of magnitude. Quantitative convergence between the energies lost by the diminishing averaged geo- magnetic field strength and energies gained within the ocean-atmosphere interface satisfy the measured values for increased global temperature and CO2 release from sea water. The pivotal variable is the optimal temporal unit employed to estimate the total energies available for physical-chemical reactions. The positive drift in averaged amplitude of geomagnetic activity over the last 100 years augmented this process. Contributions from annual CO2 from volcanism and shifts in averaged geomagnetic activity, lagged years before the measured global temperature-CO2 values, are moderating variables for smaller amplitude perturbations. These results indicated that the increase in CO2 and global temperatures are primarily caused by major geophysical factors, particularly the diminishing total geomagnetic field strength and increased geomagnetic activity, but not by human activities. Strategies for adapting to climate change because of these powerful variables may differ from those that assume exclusive anthropomorphic causes. http://file.scirp.org/Html/7-2801173_63199.htm -

FC Midtjylland 1 Saints 0 - Post Match reaction
Saint Paul C replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
Well that didn't go to plan did it. I think that somehow we've manged to end up with a significantly unbalanced and consequently weaker squad by adding, as was much needed, to the squad. What a f'ing mess. Have to go back to basic's, again, and get some confidence into the squad. Shades of 2003? I f'kin hope not. -
I rarely agree with you, but this is bloody spot on.

Champions - Chelsea 2nd - Man Utd 3rd - Man City 4th - Arsenal 5 -6 -7 L,pool Spurs Everton Saints - between 10 - 12 FA Cup - Saints League Cup - Spurs Bottom 3 Watford Norwich Bournemouth

I'd swap JuanMi with Mane' - having Jrod and Sadio with pace up front will be interesting to see.

If this rumour demonstrates the signings ambition for the remainder of the transfer window then I'm somewhat concerned. That said, its probably grade 1 bullcr@p.

Schneiderlin Joins Manchester United (Official)

Would we be looking for a deal that might include a player from them? I think we inquired about Adnan Januzaj once. -

Want Kelvin Davis - Thanks for everything, it's been a blast - maybe we can still be friends Emmanuel Mayuka - Never got why we got together in the first place Filip Djuricic - Was nice knowing you, but this relationship is just going nowhere for me. Elijero Elia - Great night in Newcastle, but it was just a bit of fun for me. Paulo Gazzaniga - Nice hair, but you're just not my type Gatson Ramirez - I lent you to a mate and you didn't please them either - you're history. All fart and no sh it. Dani Osvaldo - Nutter, utter nutter. Seriously, get some help.. Please don't go Toby However-the-hell you say it - we love you loads - please stay Morgan - unless it's for someone much, much better and they want to give us loads for your time Nathaniel - Seriously, look what happen to Luke when he left...

We ran out of squad depth. It's been fairly obvious in the past couple of months or so that we're 4 or 5 players short of a squad needed to challenge at the pointy end of the table. If we'd had more success in bringing in players to challenge the one's we already had then I'm sure we'd be knocking on the door of 4th place today. The mistake in not recognising that Pelle', Toby, Clyne, Tadic were getting knackered and their form was dropping off, overestimating the capabilities of JWP, Elia and Davis, not having a decent-enough back-up keeper and thinking that we could rest on the laurels of the amazing achievements earlier in the season would be enough to secure a top 6 spot, all are contributing to our loss of form and lack of desire now. This summer, we need to make sure, regardless of Europa league or not, that we don't fall into the same errors again by having a rose tinted view of the depth of the squad. It's become very clear that we need to add as well as replace.

Balls to defending - we need to score and win --------- Kelv. -------- Clyne - Fonte - Toby - Ryan ------ Morgan -------- Djuricic - JWP - Tadic --- Mane - Long ---- In a kind of 4 -2 -4 Subs - Cropper, Yoshi, VW, Ellia, Pelle, Steve D, Reed

We had a similar issue with our youngest girl. Turned out, as spotted by the dentist at a routine check-up, that she had massive tonsils. Got them whipped out a few months later and the slow eating thing disappeared. Might be worth getting him looked at.
