  1. Norway - end of January. It was one of the very best things I have ever done.
  2. Looks like Renault have been given a fairly light rap on the knuckles over the cheating affair which is much worse than spygate and the massive penalty handed out to McLaren IMHO. Just how dodgy is Alonso looking in this yet again. I used to be a fan of his but its just not a coincidence that there seems to be cheating and scandal all around him. God alone knows what will happen to F1 when he moves to Ferrari next season.
  3. Oh they're tired or Over Tired?
  4. Sounds remarkably like what Peter Risdale did to Leeds Utd which totally ruined them for years and years. Nice one.
  5. I think that we'll see 3 new faces by the end of next week. 2 in before the window and the conclusion of a long running attempt to get some muscle in the back line. This Irish lad that ART picked up on looks promising and maybe Eastwood or perhaps Tyson.
  6. Gets my vote as well. Could be an excellent partner for Lambert, plenty of speed, good crosser and knows how to beat a man. Might be able to get him from Forest without too much drama considering the 'log-jam' of strikers they have.
  7. I have a bunch of invites for thebox.bz if anyone needs one.
  8. I believe that it's "oh, they're tired"
  9. I'd be happy to see Rasiak and Saga let go on free transfers just to get them out of the club. It's pretty clear for all to see that neither of those players wants to be here, which is a shame as they could score bagfuls of goals in this league if motivated, so to let us clear space we might have to take a bit of a hit on the transfer value.
  10. Excellent signing - good to see that we have the ability and the draw to sign some of the best players in this league. All we need now is a few games to get the side jelled and a little patience from Saints fans. COYR's
  11. Much much much too early to judge. AP is a decent manager trying to get our team playing again and limit the damage caused by the last couple of idiotic managerial appointments and poor player purchases. If you really think he can fix that in a few weeks then you are completely deluded. Theme tune to Gen-Y springs to mind IMHO
  12. Looks like the plan to use MS as a replacement for Masa has backfired as the neck injury he sustained earlier this year is going to prevent him from driving for Ferrari. Shame really. I was never a fan of MS but he did great things for F1 overall. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/motorsport/formula_one/8186319.stm
  13. An 1800 quid grant to live on a year and 175 a month rent doesn't leave much room for manoeuvre. Student fees are not payable until after graduation.
  14. As I said before, not my made up factiods, just what I heard on the radio. BTW, if you went to university it's a pity they forgot to teach you english. For the record, I was a self funded student in the early 90's (no parental support, minimal grant etc..) so don't bleat about how hard it is. Many of us have been there, read the book got the t-shirt and learnt proper English too.
  15. An article on BBC Radio 2 news the other day. A bank, can't remember which one, had done a survey of student finance in the UK and found these numbers to be the average hours and incomes. Best places to be a student was Brighton and the worst was Leicester I think they said.
  16. The average student has a 20hr per week part-time job earning on average 9 pound an hour. I'm sure that they could afford a ticket if they really wanted to.
  17. How unlike Ferrari to bend the rules. Jaime was refused the opportunity to learn the STR and the same should be applied to MS. And Ponty is right, Ferrari would have all sorts of changes applied to the car that MS would use. Ferrari have 2 other drivers who are familiar with this years car they could have used but the marketing boys thought that bringing MS back might make them a few bucks extra.

  19. So how are Ferrari going to work their way past?
  20. Source - Autosport A war of words between Renault boss Flavio Briatore and Nelson Piquet has increased speculation that the Brazilian driver is unlikely to finish the season with the team. Piquet admitted ahead of the Hungarian Grand Prix that his place at the team was in doubt, with rumours having already suggested he could have been absent from the Hungaroring race, where the Brazilian qualified in 15th and finished in 12th. Speaking to Autosprint magazine, Briatore said he expected more from Piquet and was critical of the driver for "opening the book of excuses" for his lack of results. "I've always been fair with my drivers," Briatore was quoted as saying by Autosprint. "I expected more from Piquet because this is his second year with a full-time drive. He's done less testing compared to Alonso, but Webber as well tested less than Vettel because of his broken leg, but look where he is now. "When a driver lacks results, he opens the book of excuses and begins: the fault is the weather's, a spectator's sunglasses, a spin on the straight, this and that... "It's not true that there's a technical difference of seven tenths between Alonso's and Piquet's car. If that was true, we'd have a car capable of winning the title, and that unfortunately isn't the case. The technical difference has always been minimal and never longer than one race." Piquet, who is yet to score a point this season, was critical of his team boss, saying he only thinks about money. The Brazilian driver claimed Briatore, who left Sunday's race before it was over after Fernando Alonso had retired, has no respect for him. "Flavio is a business man, but he doesn't understand sh!t about F1," Piquet was quoted as saying by the Italian magazine. "He's my manager, but in his role of team boss he doesn't respect me. "He only thinks about money, at how much money he can pocket in everything he's involved, he's a man with no friends. Every day everyone asks me what's going on, so why should I always keep quiet? "Webber has been in F1 since 2001, he started in a different era, when testing wasn't limited. He's probably done more than 20,000 kms in testing, so it's not a fair comparison. Now the situation is more difficult for a driver with little experience. "And besides that, I have to fight against Briatore and Alonso himself, who is a fantastic driver. When I wasn't competitive in qualifying, I was the first owing up to it. But if Briatore doesn't understand that, what can I do?" Doesn't sound like Nelson will be in a job for much longer IMHO. Renault could be looking for 2 new drivers next season perhaps?
  21. An excellent return to form IMHO. Always had a soft spot for James and this is my fave album since Gold Mother.
