Every club has them, even Saints look... We have some too, as you politely pointed out in your mild panic about missing out on automatic promotion. Congrats by the way, to you and your Arsenal, Liverpool, Man Utd and Chelsea fans. Better you than West Ham!

It's only a silly oversized silver cup that will get in the way on the mantle piece, you wouldn't want one. Hopefully the new owners (hopefully goes through this week or next) will have our best interests at heart. They're saying all the right things about taking the academy to Cat 1 status, expanding to 38k in two stages, European football... But that all takes money and patience and time as well, not over night - but you know what new owners are traditionally like! I just hope they stick with McDermott, add to the squad wisely and then who knows! I think you're well set for the PL as well. Cracking side that just needs 3-4 new faces, but stick with that side and you wont go far wrong! Your fans are a credit to you as well and can make the difference. I can see St Mary's needing a roof lifting if you stay up as well. You've got 38k in you at that level, no problem!

Yep, we all thought the same yesterday as well. Both sides should have kicked off at the same time. But to have it done and dusted before the last game is great. I didn't want to go to Brum needing to better your result! Hopefully the Hammers will choke at Leicester and you boys can enjoy a party atmosphere at home next week!

Hi all Just want to wish you boys well for Coventry!! Please don't let West Ham sneak back in?! They're a horrible arrogant club, with equally horrible owners. I really hope you make it up with us! You're a terrific club with great support. Thanks for the bad head today. It's been one hell of a week!!! All the best, and hopefully see you next season. Friday's Legacy PS. I called it at Saints http://s1265.photobucket.com/albums/jj520/FL1980/?action=view¤t=Alfie3-1vsSaints.mp4

If you don't make it (and I'm 100% certain you will), I wouldn't mind taking Lambert off of you. He's a real handful and would suit well in the PL. Perhaps our lovely Russian can stump up the cash for Lallana while he's at it You boys will be absolutely fine. West Ham have another loss in them yet and will bottle the play-offs too. GARN BRIGHTON!!!

Hi Thanks for the comments. I think it rattled McDermott in the post match interview as well. People keep saying we're on a late run but we're not. If you go back to mid November we would be about 18 clear at the top now, it may actually be more since your last two results. It is an exceptional run but it's not a late run, it's consistency that's been our key and then adding a big front man in Jason Roberts in January. You guys were superb in the first half. You play great football and have some superb players. You'll go up with us but hopefully behind us, but do you know what? I'd still take 2nd. At the end of the day we both want promotion. The silverware would be nice though Cheeky vid of an over-excited Royal last night http://tinypic.com/player.php?v=95zpzq&s=5 Here's to Brighton today...!!!!

Hi guys First of all I'd like to say your fans are a credit to you! The noise both sides of the away support was superb, although it took you scoring a goal to be heard, but boy were you load when you woke up. I don't think the score flattered us. If you much of us this season you would know we are workman like team, especially away from home. Backs to the wall doesn't faze us, and we can break with pace, and we don't tire. I thought the first half you were superb. If you play like that in the Premiership next season then I can see you staying up! Lallala (or however you spell it) is immense, and the big lump Lambert is a handful too. If not for Federici (best keeper in the league - actim --- but you apparently would only have Kebe in your tea...) then you would have won the game by half-time! He was superb!! Second half you started well but soon tired. We got more involved and then did what we do best, we upped a gear and hit you on the break for two well taken goals. Yes I can see you feel a bit aggrieved, but that's our style. We have the best defence in the league (best keeper and best centre back in Pearce), and we managed to keep you out. Then it's all about you tiring, getting frustrated, lacking ideas and us using our fitness to exploit the space available. I genuinely hope you go up. You play a cracking style of football, and your fans are a million times better than the arrogant management, fans and owners found at Upton Park. Here's hopefully to 3 points to Brighton today and the league table ending as it stands Good luck!!

That's quite some statement. Alex Pearce is by far and away the best centre back in the league this season, but if you have better then someone should contact the Actim Index and get it amended... http://actim.pressassociation.com/ Adam Federici also best keeper. But what do us fans know

Evening chaps! Looking forward to tomorrow night. I'd love a draw but both sides will be hell-bent on taking all three points. Don't underestimate our midfield without Karacan and Leigertwood. Mullins you all know well, and McAnuff can handle himself and be effective going forwards from centre. Kebe on his day is by far and away the best and quickest winger in the league, and Cwyka also very useful. Good feet, very good cross. Not the sort of player you want to stick a leg in on as he'll switch feet and earn a free-kick/pen. Should be a good scrap which we'll relish. Most of all I just hope West Ham continue to implode at home. They're arrogance, their manager, their fans; even their owners - horrible characters!! It'd be great to go up with you lot!!
