A couple of myths from a skate in my office; Keegan was bumming/fisting most of the youth team whilst here as a player (that's why he got done over). One of the 4 Saints players who has played for England recently is about to come out as gay, he thinks it's Luke. We sold (or bought, I really didn't get his point I was laughing so much) a car park for £42M as a tax dodge. Yes, it's a laugh a minute at the moment in my office, it's nearly a joy going into work, nearly.

Are they? Skate at work says he owns a share in the "club" as he put his £1,000 in, I asked him to show me the share certificate but, of course, he hasn't got one. So how can the club be owned by the fans when there's no paperwork saying this. Which begs the question, if there is paperwork stating exactly who owns the "club", whose name is on that paperwork? I know this will have been answered somewhere in this thread but, as I'm in my mid 50's, I don't think I've got enough life left to trawl through the thread!

The only time I went into the JB was mob handed when there was a stag night from the pipeshop at Vospers. The JB was always the last port of call before the Top Rank on a Thursday night, by the time we got there we were all well plastered and had a ball laughing/singing along with the drag act they'd invariably have on. Wouldn't have gone near the place sober that's for sure.

But he tweeted this on Wednesday? Neil Allen @pn_neil_allen Permission granted to Tweet from the High Court. I’ll be there both days giving updates on case progress. Starts 10.30am tomorrow. #Pompey

What are you listening to RIGHT NOW and WHERE?
Baldsaint replied to Dibden Purlieu Saint's topic in The Lounge
Beth Hart, Boom Boom, Bang Bang. Beth Hart & Joe Bonamassa, Don't explain. Plus a couple of Mahalia Jackson albums thrown into the mix. -

I went out with a girl from Sh!t City once, only once mind. I still feel a little bit dirty even after more than 30 years. I married a Saints & Hampshire (cricket) supporting girl.

Which is a lie, they averaged 18,249 in their relegation season. Now if no away fans turned up for the whole campaign, which I doubt, they couldn't have sold all the home seats all season. I know they couldn't sell out for Chelsea. They averaged over 20,000 only twice in the prem, their first two seasons up there. FWIW we averaged 30,609 in our relegation season, 11th best in the league
-
Thanks for that. I think the most pertinent statistic though is the average attendance for the relegation season of each club, both clubs in admin, Sh!t City's average last season was 15,044, our average was 17,849 for relegation from the Championship. Although, IIRC, they had a shed load of offers to "Pack the Shack", where we didn't bother that much.
-
We averaged about 21,500 over both seasons, nearly 21,000 the first season and just over 22,000 in the second (and hopefully last ever) season. Don't know what the attendance was for our first game down there.

Had to laugh at the pillock who wants the MOD to subsidise sh1tcity's training facilities. I think the taxpayer has donated enough money to that bunch of thieves.

According to wiki (Yes, I know) the average for Rugby was 17,193 in 2011 and for football in the 2009/10 season it was 18,006. I've no idea about the ticket prices for rugby though.

This was posted by QI on twitter today. Mind-boggling. @qikipedia Cool models showing the huge differences in the sizes of planets and stars http://www.kiroastro.com/writings/perspective

I played Jocky at Oches darts club in an exhibition in about 1984, he was very, very drunk. He had drunk, by the end of the evening, at least 30 pints of strongbow. Got a bit lippy whilst signing autographs at the end, came across as a bit of a git all round unfortunately. Still a legend though. Oh, I lost.

The Bevois Castle has re-opened as The Rockstone, good beer and food on offer, well worth a visit. I used to play darts for the Highfield (just after the last ice age I think). The Crown has changed beyond all recognition since my Highfield days (probably for the better TBF). The Hobbit was better known as the Portswood Inn when I lived round that way (nearly had to revert back to that name lately), not actually in Portswood though. Haven't been to the Cowherds or the Onslow in yonks.

What have they said? Hope it's not true, I work down there, as do lots of Saints fans, a legacy of Vospers moving down there.
-
Whoops, that No was in response to Lamberts penalty record i.e No, he hasn't missed one yet.
-
Funnily enough I've only been there once and that was for a goalkeepers testimonial, John Milkins, 1969, scoreline Sh!tcity 0 Saints 7.
-
So that's a yes then.
-
TBF we did get, potentially, £12M for a 16 year old with less than 20 appearances to his name and no contract. I know it turned out less, about £9M IIRC but even then that wasn't bad.

I did have a bit of a crush on Sarah-Jane back in the 70's, not too shabby at 63 as well, RIP Lis. Worst companion for me was Rose, terrible actress and humongous teeth.

No, he looks fine, don't panic.

Isn't the summarizer the bloke who sits with the commentator, he's the one who watches the live action, keeping his gob shut, and then commentating on the slo-mo, usually wrongly until the 3rd or 4th viewing. In this case it was Don Goodman, a berk of the very highest order.
