  1. Must admit I'm not a huge beat 'em up fan. Happy to admit this may mostly be due to me being utterly useless at them. It always, always just descends into button bashing.
  2. New Drenge album is sounding pretty killer. Goddammit I wish I was fit enough to see them this month. http://www.theguardian.com/music/2015/mar/30/drenge-undertow-exclusive-album-stream
  3. Looks, errrm, well brutal https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SOuor0WH3Dw
  4. Yeah that's right. Pretty pricey, hoping they'll be at Glasto. If not I'll most likely be there.
  5. Haha no, I meant Alabama Shakes. Think I saw System at Reading one year, not really my thing tbh. Were pretty decent live though.
  6. Been enjoying that too dude. Hoping to catch them live this time round, missed them on the tour of the last album.
  7. Still don't give a f**k what anyone thinks, I heart Lorde:
  8. I know, I hide my true self well I feel. And this despite growing up in the 10th safest (according to that list I posted above - not perfect I know) Tory seat in the country!
  9. Wasn't a big part of 'New Labour' the removal of Clause IV?
  10. Hello, not a Tory here. Probably not that surprising.
  11. Sorry this is terribly dull, but seems we both had MPs in the top 25 majorities. My previous MP up until last year being Nick Hurd. http://www.politicsresources.net/area/uk/mps-maj.htm
  12. This is eerily similar to last years "we won't get £20m for any of our players" prediction. Hope you are as right on this one
  13. In case you missed it, Nadine Shah is on session with Lauren on 6music today. Good stuff.
  14. Jesus, Art Brut. Not thought about them in ages. Eddie Argos was always decent value.
  15. Diplo is a complete knobber though. He can knock out a tune though.
  16. From the very very little (keen to stress it is little) I've heard from goings on at Leeds general infirmary, it sounds a similar story. Staff raise issues, managers are keen to suppress the issues as a Saville is a big name/character that can quickly ruin someone's career/reputation and he also brought a lot of fundraising to the hospital. To be clear, there is a lot of detail in between that has been omitted and lost to time, but this is a simplification of events I've had passed on from people there at the time.
  17. Seems an odd stat, mentioned before there was some idiot (and it was just one idiot) hurling all sorts of disgusting abuse at Yaya away at city last season. Luckily, a number of people told him to pack it in pretty much immediately, and a steward did come over and have a word. Which is why I'm surprised at the OPs stat. Certain people can bury their heads in the sand and say racism and sexism don't exist in society, or that they never see it, or things used to be worse but that's just it, burying your head in the sand. It does still happen, it is still a problem.
  18. Thought this was a really interesting take on the game. http://www.pastemagazine.com/articles/2015/03/battlefield-hardline-reviewcop-out.html I'm not a big lover of these style FPS games, and do find the politicization and normalising of militarisation slightly concerning. Further to that though, it's just a bit dull. Do we really need more games of muscular (usually white) shooting other muscular dudes. Haven't games as a medium come further than this now? I'm not saying stop producing them altogether, but I think these games could be better done and that games have such massive potential that these hackneyed stereotype games are not coming close to fulfilling. Anyway, just my personal preferences no dig at people who are keen on these games.
  19. Ok, so a better suggestion for tim would be 10 years. As in 2 full terms (as it is).
  20. Haven't they fixed parliament to 5 year terms now?
  21. Aye, think you are right. Was a tad ambitious. It is on the mend, slowly, thanks. I am back in my least skinny jeans, which aren't exactly baggy. Poor planning from KRG.
  22. Aye, there's always next season.
  23. I've said this before, and I'm sure some will think I'm daft but here goes. Refs need more help. They simply cannot cope with the speed of play, on a pitch that big with that many players. I'd add 2 extra lino's - meaning there will always be an official on the correct side of the pitch. Increase the role of 4th officials, actually get them talking to Refs and consulting. As said, this doesn't seem to happen enough. A video ref, in theory a 4th official could help clear things up by viewing a replay - but my concern is benches of both teams getting in their ears the whole time. Having an independent video ref separate from everyone could help somewhat. Possibly even an extra ref on the pitch. Something needs to change I think, and I don't think just saying the refs aren't good enough isn't going to change much I don't think. Imo, they need a lot more help than they are getting.
  24. Yeah I'm really enjoying it too. Looking forward to seeing her next month. BTW that trick of messing with tempo is usually to get around copyright. V dumb.
  25. I'm in the same boat as Lou & Jeff. Never lived in Soton, so know no other Saints fans IRL. Would be up for London based viewings, trips to sms etc.
