  1. It's really effing embarrassing. As is the claim that some guy rang the ticket office and the phones were off the hook with people trying to return STs - which also prompted the about turn.
  2. City, Liverpool x2, Chelsea. Off the top of my head. There may be more but, I forget.
  3. Pretty much this. I don't get how Poch has suddenly become a bad manager. It wasn't so long ago many of us were gutted he was leaving, and thought we wouldn't be able to adequately replace him. I'd also suggest that the 'pressing' game involves a fair element of risk too. Far from just sitting 10 behind the ball at least. P.s. I still do think Poch acted a bit of a kn0b.

  5. Does anyone find these live news feeds a tad odd? There seems to be another linked to an attack in the New Forest on there too. Christ, just clicked on a link to Britain First 'discussing' it. Now I want to tear my eyes out. What with this and #GamerGate, I really need to be away from the internet for a while.

  7. Do you mean left? Or have you been hearing this for 5 years?
  8. This is the most muppety TMS has been in ages. I fixed it
  9. I just cannot see it at all. He wouldn't make him captain to then drop him weeks later. If he was remotely inclined to do so, he would have made RVP captain. I won't be watching tonight, not worth using up football credits with the gf for really. Will most likely be Bake Off on in the background whilst I try design some levels.
  10. Further to that, I think the number of players a club loan out should be capped. At least those over a certain age, say 20/21. Chelsea basically have a buy-to-let(/loan) to transfers. They just hoover up talent, and loan it out. How many have they got out on loan, knocking on 30 or something ridiculous. The majority of them they will be collecting nice little loan fees, recouping most of a players wages and usually seeing the value of this player increase. They then either have a developed player ready for the first XI (Courtois) or someone they can sell at a tidy profit (Lukaku). I mean, fair play to them, they saw a loop-hole and have milked it for all they can. But it does distort the market a bit I feel.
  11. Right guys, as an attempt to humble myself before all wise muppets of the forum please accept this gift. I present yo you, the genius of @FootballerBoobs Example:
  12. Oh FFS, I broke TMS
  13. You are very much correct Bletch. May I please extend sincere apologies to all muppets, wherever they may be. This is a hot button subject at the minute in my industry and some female friends and colleagues have been on the receiving end of some really vile harassment and abuse. I used the muppet show to vent my spleen, and that was wrong, I am sorry. I shall endeavour to behave better in future, and not let everyday problems spill over into this once safe haven of muppetry. Sincerely, KRG
  14. I'm sorry mikey, you know I like you, but I still have a fundamental problem with blaming the victims (women) for actions of men committing offences against. Again, I admit I am something of a feminist/SJW etc and I know that isn't too well received round these parts. But I honestly believe it is a dangerous precedent. In my opinion it is like the analogy above, or blaming a rape victim for being too drunk etc. I don't know if you saw ceelo greens recent (abhorrent) comments - "it's not rape if she's unconscious". This idea that women are to blame for acts committed against them is shocking, and yeah I'm unashamed in thinking it has to stop.
  15. Players are explicitly prohibited from playing against parent clubs, even with loan fees. Not sure if this is just PL or all English clubs. But they can do so in other countries. Wages are on a deal to deal basis. Some deals parent club will pay wages, some the loaning club, often it will be split between the two.
  16. Why should she not, if she chooses, be able to take photos of herself privately, or groom herself as she wishes without it being a public thing?
  17. I don't wish to sound patronising at all, your points are all fair. Ofcourse it's your opinion, but I don't think we agree on it all, which is fine. Opinions innit. This communication thing gets bandied around a lot. But I'm not sure we heard anymore for many other club all summer. Between Ralph and Reed a lot of interviews wee given, probably more than most clubs board. What more could they have said? Were people expecting a blow-by-blow account of all negotiations of all transfers, both in&out? It's clear we had some bad eggs in the squad, who were happy to publicly play the media to chase their big money moves, personally I'd rather we announced things as and when they are done. Up until things being finalised, myriad problems can occur and the board would only be criticised if they were to comment and for circumstances to change - which most likely happens a lot. In my opinion, this communication thing is nonsense. Most of this post is a rehash of posts I've made on various threads, so sorry for repetition, but from experience people on the internet talk about PR gaffes from the outside, assuming they know exactly what has occurred. Usually(from my experience) they are way off the mark, and the make incorrect assumptions based on this, their reactions and final outcomes.
  18. Still effing embarrassing.
  19. Off topic, but JC was good mates with a former housemate of mine. Nice lad.
  20. Sorry, disagree with this entirely. It's the internet equivalent of - "well she shouldn't have worn such a short skirt". Who they are is besides the point. It's still f*cking wrong! especially given id be willing to place a large sum on the fact that the people commit these crimes (it is absolutely a crime) were most likely amongst those that were the most offended about NSA snooping. But hey, they are celebrity attention whores - if they didn't want me to see it they shouldn't have taken these pictures. They basically owe us it. Yes, as is probably obvious from my posting history - I think men are vile. #sorrynotsorry
  21. Shocker. A transfer involving an Englishman, with a move to the club he grew up supporting in his hometown took less time than a South American, moving to a new country and requiring a work permit. You work that out all by yourself?
