  1. Good lad. Also, were the goat and the bear away on some sort of animal away day? You both seemed to go quiet for a while. Welcome back yo!
  2. GB likes to blaze!
  3. London (hometown bias), or Barcelona. Only place I've seriously considered leaving for. Budapest is great too.
  4. I wouldn't be adverse to Corky being given a go. He's as good as anyone else England have in a more defensive midfield role, and it's certainly more suited to it than an out of position Wilshere. Again, Cork's problem is that he isn't going to be playing every week for us. Anyone else in the country and it would be suggested "he can't even get into *mid-table club name* team, how is he good enough for England?". So it may well be Saints lensed biased on my(/our) part.
  5. In the words of the great man Jack White; "I've said it once before, but it bears repeating now"
  6. Do you actually need this explaining you have been told a million times. If every time you want to insult someone, the first thing you reach for is a tired stereotype/generic insult based on their nationality (Uruguayan, Argentinian, French, German, Scottish etc.) you may well be perceived as racist. Calling the Scots Jimmy Krankies, or Sweaties is most likely perceived as a pejorative term, and I think it's fair to say this does fit with your "angry, insecure, attention-seeking and agressive posting style".
  7. Agree with this. As I said, needs to stick to CB imo. As awful a cliche as it is, he's a victim of his versatility. Agree with DM. Hence above, saying I wouldn't mind Huddlestone given a go. I know he's far from a world beater, but at least he is a DM. Far better than trying to play an attack minded CM there (Wilshere). Cork or maybe yeah Cattermole. Please just play someone there. Right now a recall for Barry is an attractive option. What does that say about England
  8. alpine_saint, never knowingly self-aware.
  9. Ever one to be a contrarian, i think we should stick with Jones. He needs to stick to CB, imo it's his best position. He has been alright so far this season and I do think there is potential in him to be a very good CB, he is still pretty young as defenders go. Just don't play him with Smalling. Actually, just don't play Smalling at all.
  10. Yeah, I like Huddlestone. I think it was Adrian I was talking about this recently. He does lack a bit of mobility, but he's got to be better than anyone else we've got in a holding role. At least that is actually his position. Henderson has a decent engine on him, and has impressed recently to be fair to the guy. That might work as a deep midfield axis, it may at least be worth giving a go. Jack Cork would be a possible alternate, but he has to nail down a starting XI place here first. Never easy with Big Vic & Morgan also playing in your position. Nice position for Saints to be in though Oh and FFS Woy, just sodding call up Clyne. Or play Chambers RB. Both are better than Walker.
  11. Struggle to work out where or how Wilshere is best used. There's clearly some talent in there somewhere, but he just hasnt pushed on as anyone would have liked. He certainly isn't a DM though.
  12. good goal to be fair
  13. Tried this with Limp Bizkit & Marshall Mathers LP. Slightly negated by the fact that Mother had to buy both of them for 11 year old KRG. Negated further by Mother then buying me tickets to see Limp Bizkit at Wembley for my 12th Birthday. She's a good egg that one.
  14. I thought the Lib Dems had already effectively left the coalition?
  15. On the early election point. Didn't the coalition bring in fixed govt terms? Thus, taken away power of govt to pick and choose when to hold an election as it suits them? Im guessing there may well be some caveats or get outs, but I wonder how this could affect that. If at all.
  16. So, assuming you have taken this 'challenge' yourself. What happens at sea...
  17. You've got to be Mr Boruc.
  18. I still think Boruc was partly to blame for that goal against Stoke. Yes, there were slightly mitigating circumstances with the conditions. But, the ball was travelling for 13 seconds over 91m. The majority of that time/distance the ball would have been in sight (if Boruc was looking at the ball). IMO, that gives ample time for Boruc to have watched the ball, tracked the flight and either come to the ball or retreat back to goal. It seemed he wasn't paying attention, and when the ball actually came close (it was left by the CBs as there was no challenging attacker, and this is what they will do 95% of the time in that situation) he was in no position to do anything about it. That doesn't make AB a bad keeper, far from it. By and large he has been a very good performer for Saints and has arguably saved more points than he lost. There are some other goals I would question his role in, Arsenal (away) being the most obvious, Sunderland (away) possibly, maybe Stoke (home) just off the top of my head. Counter that, he made amazing saves versus Utd (away - this was actually one of the best saves I have ever seen) though we still lost the game, the Pen save v Norwich and I think a save against Swansea (home) last season which kept us ahead when the game was tight. I don't know the full situation of what has gone on behind closed doors, but certainly from the outside it does look to the average fan that this is a very well-paid adult throwing a bit of a tantrum about another player taking his place. That, is pretty much football, and I'm sure he is still happy to pick up his paycheque. I do like Artur, and think we would have been a lot worse off without him the past season and a half. But we now have another keeper who seems perfectly competent. If AB gets his head down and challenges I will be very happy. We will have two very good keepers challenging for the #1 spot. If not, it is disappointing as despite spending a significant sum on a keeper we are effectively in the same position as last year. This was always likely to be an issue, as many on here did speculate that AB may not be too happy about another GK being bought in.
  19. The Reading fans in the office (who clearly follow their, and therefore his progress more closely than me) say Adkins has had a hard time of it since he went in. Limited funds and best players sold from underneath him. It's a small sample size (2), but both are positive on NA and the job he has done there. They say realistically anymore than what he has done would be a minor miracle. Just passing on what they have told me.
  20. I'd heartily recommend them, a really good live act. As I said above, Karen-O is an absolute first rate performer. Just ignore Mikey. I could never get on board with RATM. In theory they should be everything I love, all the ingredients are there. Something just never clicked.
  21. No disrespect to you whatsoever sir, but of course they don't bloody exist. AS you say, it would be utterly mad to do so.
  22. Maybe just one for you & I Pap. Karen-O http://www.theguardian.com/music/2014/sep/05/karen-o-crush-songs-album-stream?CMP=soc_1945
