Harry puts le tiss above beckham in prem team.

Ok, so I managed to find it. I was actually wrong, it's a bit different - still a damn good goal though. -

Bang average that Beckham. This is barely the tip of the iceberg as well. The Spurs one (open play not the Free-Kick) was almost a carbon copy of another goal he scored that season too - they certainly weren't flukes. Impressive how many were in big games against good teams too. Not just show boating at 4-0 up. -
Currently on TalkSport. The delusion of the man is on another level. Jesus wept.

Again, I don't think it would come down to a choice between the two. They were different players playing in different positions. -

Sorry if I missed it, but who has said that? I said he carried the team for a few years, I stand by that. There were times when he pretty much dragged the England team by the scruff of the neck. Ahem (this incidentally is one of my favourite moments of watching football, I was 12 and absolutely lost it): Look, in the interest of fairness I'm going to (unashamedly) hold my hands up and say I'm a huge Beckham fan. Always was, always will be. I don't see why the fact he became a brand diminishes his talents on the pitch. If anything I'd argue it helps debunk another criticism of him, that's he's a brain dead moron. He's not done bad for a total thicko, has he? He was a bloody good player, not the best true. But his passing, crossing and set-pieces were world class, far above Gerrard's. -

Having seen the two teams in full, god I'd love to see a match between them. Obviously it can't happen, but it would be a cracker. See Harry is going 4-4-2 in both teams. Effing dinosaur. -

Possibly, I'm not saying Beckham was necessarily better or more talented. I just don't get this revisionist stuff about Beckham not being all that good. He was a very good player. I don't really understand why it would be a decision between Beckham, Scholes & MLT. Becks was a right-winger, MLT & Scholes were more central players. 2000-2004 England didn't really play unless Becks did. He was a brilliant captain for England, I'd say the best in the time I've been watching (96ish onwards for reference). -

He was also a bloody good player. A lot seem to play down his talents nowadays, but he really was. Some of the goals and assists he got were amazing. Plus, he was quality for England, and always worked himself into the ground. Carried the team almost single-handedly for a good few years. -

I just got Leyton Orient promoted in season 1. 2 games left and promotion secured ( ) a crazy takes over, tells me they are looking for a new manager, cut my very successful affiliation and is now making the club pay back money used to buy the bloody club. Not happy.

I struggle to play FM for 27 minutes continuously without getting distracted. Listening to some talk about it for that long, well

Worth forking out for then? Can't believe MLG has ignored my call for details for over 12 hours. He's usually all over this shît. Might go pester him on Twitter. That'll learn him.

RIP Crystal Castles Just to clarify; they have split up, not died

27 Minutes?! Highlights?

It's been reported a few times, but it was in the Telegraph article last week.

You just made that up didn't you? -
Nailed it for me. The whole idea of comparing transfer fees (not saying I've never done it, mind) is just a bit silly - and next to impossible. You have to factor in so many variables that comparing two transfers renders no real value. Age, availability (or clubs willingness to sell), contract length, selling club, buying club etc. Long cost more than JRod? Yes, but JRod had never played in the Premiership, and was signed from Burnley. We were also a newly promoted club, on the old TV deal. Long cost more than Lovren, had never played PL, Lyon were happy to get rid of him after a mixed season. Long cost more than Mane, again never played PL etc. We took in a shedload of ££ on sales over the summer, everyone knew that. Prices were bound to be inflated, comparing this deal to others from previous summers or other clubs transfers on fee alone is a bit meaningless. I agree it seems a bit excessive, but it's done now. I do think fans can be a bit obsessed with how much a player costs. I don't mean as to go so far as to bury your head in the sand over fees, but you only have too look around to see this is probably about in line(ish) for Long. I wasn't massively pleased by Long's signing - but you know what you are going to get from the guy. I don't think it helps he's being played out of position, but fair play to him he works hard as is a nuisance. He hasn't been great yet, but I certainly wouldn't say he's been poor either. He's basically been Shane Long. Football has gone mad, I can't see it getting anymore sane anytime soon and £12m fees for the Shane Long's of this world are only going to happen more. There's certainly worse people to have in the squad I'd say. Let's just judge him by his performances, it's not his fault what someone paid for him - don't use that as the stick to beat him by.
