  1. Sounds like as good a plan I've heard all day.
  2. Making me look less lonely. Good on ya dude.
  3. He's trying to throw us off the scent Lou. I'm on to you CB
  4. Haha yeah, as I said I don't think that's entirely a true reflection. Things aren't as binary as Agree/Disagree. I'm probably in that area, just not that far down. Meh.
  5. HYPOCRITE!!!
  6. Yeah, I don't entirely trust mine to be honest.
  7. Christ, weird looking at that. I have changed a lot the last few years, which is weird as I don't think my values have changed that much. More the approach to them. Not sure I really want to show where I came out EDIT: borls to it, hardly going to squash rumours I'm a raving nutter, but here you go https://www.politicalcompass.org/analysis2?ec=-6.38&soc=-7.9
  8. Whether he wants to admit it or not Lou, in my mind this is CB. His protestations will do nothing to sway me. I'm not sure why he'd protest. It's a decent effort, as I said before I look forward to the next.
  9. Wahhh wahhh wahhh, the defenders of the nation from the PC brigade are crying that someone said something about them again http://www.itv.com/news/2015-04-29/ukip-asks-police-to-investigate-the-bbc-over-have-i-got-news-for-you/
  10. So, this is CB right? Good work big man, looking forward to the next installment.
  11. This was last night, she was superb. Her voice is stunning, and god the intensity of those songs really comes through live. Would absolutely recommend seeing her.
  12. The thing is, Pearson basically said I won't have any criticism of my team. The journo said, what criticism is that? Then off he went. Dude is weird.
  13. Yeah, Liverpool and Spurs both want to not be in the EL. I hope they both have to be in it for that reason. Petty? Me? Nah, never.
  14. It is sad, but that is where we are at. Hence my, 'we need more people like him' point.
  15. Yeah man, sure.
  16. Maybe one day, but really isn't true now. I'd argue that none of the 3 best keepers in the league are over 30 right now. De Gea (24), Courtois (22) & Lloris (28). There's also Hart (28), Neuer (29), and plenty other good keepers that are under 30 that would be extremely capable of doing a job.
  17. Hey, I'm not that bad
  18. Nah, that isn't what I'm getting at. I think there needs to be more people across the spectrum like him. Generally not former Etonians, PPE students in grey suits that mostly look and sound the same. People that can help engage and spark interest in politics and the way the country is run can only be a good thing. A lot of people, as Brand points out (sorry, but I find this hard to dispute) are totally apathetic towards politics and especially politicians. Lots of young people, minorities, less well off people feel that politicians have no experience of the life they live on a day to day basis and will never listen to them. People like Brand do offer an alternative, and can in many ways relate to these people in a way Cameron, Clegg, Miliband, Farage etc simply can't. I mean, looking at those four I just listed, they are pretty similar. More voices like Brand is definitely a good thing. Passionate, caring, intelligent and articulate with the bonus of being to be able to connect with those that politicians have failed to connect with for a long time.

  20. Strikes me that he genuinely cares about the things he tries to highlight? Granted this is from watching a few of 'the trews' and other interviews. Haven't read the book, so can't comment on that. He's got enough fame/fortune and a platform for himself to leverage if that was his goal, and the subject matter isn't exactly pandering to a pre-existing audience. I may well be wrong, but he seems me as being pretty sincere about it. Can't believe it's come to this, but I feel we need more people like Brand in politics. This is from someone that used to despise him until relatively recently.
  21. Like him or not, Brand has been good for politics in this country recently. He's certainly helped to get younger, disenfranchised people more interested and engaged than anyone in the previous few elections. That can only be a good thing. I like what he talks about, and he at least has some passion about him. Don't agree with him on everything, but he wants to make things better for people and I have a hard time criticising that. There seems to be much more talk of 'the establishment' this election than in any I can remember, and of all the people currently part of the equation (yes, I know he isn't standing) he is certainly the most anti-establishment of the lot.
  22. Reed gave two statements in about a week, and Ralph gave several interviews. Granted I don't follow statements from other clubs as closely but I can't imagine they were putting out as much stuff as us. Fair that maybe there wasn't going on there at those clubs, but still people at the club were talking more than anyone else. I said at the time they were going to be damned whatever they did. There wasn't much to be said, the club stated it's position that they don't comment on things until they are confirmed. People seemed to want daily updates, which was never going to happen.
  23. Thing is people get themselves in a right old tizz when the club keep quiet about things as well, as we saw last summer.
  24. There's being concerned, and there is what we had last summer. I was concerned at times, no denying that. But, some of the stuff was ridiculous.
  25. All the Liar Les & Wreck-it Ralph memes will be out in force again no doubt. Joy.
