PC & Xbox, damn my PS4/Mac combo. My god this game looks absolutely gorgeous, lots of buzz in the office about this this morning.

Aye, can get a trendy little top knot and everything. You are one of the select few on here that can decide for yourself. You lucky get you.
-
Possibly. Ultimately though, if it is a case of Toby out and Caulker in I'd be a tad disappointed. Think we are likely to be weaker in CB squad wise, as I doubt Toby will stay and we aren't going to get better, but think that gap can be smaller than if Caulker came in. If that makes sense? Basically, I think we can do better.

I think I'm finally at the stage where I can class my hair as 'long'. Share some of these, specifically the gf (in my case) constantly nagging at me to get it cut. Coupled with the beard I'm repeatedly told I look like a hobo. It's also most inconvenient when hobbling around on crutches, it basically renders me blind as well as incapable of moving much. Excellent. Always refused to tie it up/wear one of my hairbands (only ever used for football), but have found myself considering it the past few weeks. Much like your car story, I've managed similar on the tube. Not my finest moment.

Really not sold on Caulker if I'm honest. Wasn't great last season and hasn't been great this season either.
-
Ah ok, I thought she was. Was pretty confused when Bennett took the mantle. That makes more sense, and is fair enough really. Thanks for clarifying.

Cmon Whitey, you know exactly what I mean. Do Tories, or anyone else actually think he is any good. For all the 'it's not a popularity contest', plenty of people do still think like that. Hence the emphasis on leaders, and the stupid debates. I'd be inclined to agree. Still find it baffling Greens don't have Lucas as a leader. She seems to come across far better than Bennett. Lucas always seems to come along pretty well. They could potentially do ok (relatively, of course), but they still at the stage of maturing and sorting out the weirder elements before they can go more mainstream I think. Bit like UKIP trying to sift out the nutters, racists and dinosaurs (they havn't been entirely successful at this yet).

Total brain lapse upon opening this thread, and thought you were referring to Charlie Adam. That would be bad. Would much prefer Austin, has looked good this season in a pretty poor QPR team. Think they'll go down, so cannot see him staying there. Shown he is definitely good enough for the Premier League.

Does anyone actually like Cameron? I mean, if you aren't a Tory you are going to hate him. He's everything about the Tories you are going to hate, and his face is particularly annoying. But, do the Tories even like him? Real lack of decent political leaders around at the moment.

Oh c'mon Windows I'm just joshing. You know I like to rib your harsh criticisms. No harm intended.
-
Probably true. But it's a bit harsh to keep blaming things on Gardos that wern't his fault

No one was really playing great, was more a tactical sub. We brought on Elia and changed formation.

Would love to go. Some mates are going this year, but I'd be no fun at the minute with my knee. Doing surprisingly well considering I know naff all about horses. Over £80 up for the day so far. I'll take that.

Haha indeed it is.

I agree, it is a worry. Sadly, I think our model (for want of a better phrase) is the best shot clubs like us have. Focus on the kids, keep churning them out as best as possible. Sign well, accept there is a likelihood they will move on and hopefully at a profit after decent service. Where we are at the best we can hope to be is a stepping stone. I know it's daft, but we've only been in the PL less than 3 seasons, it takes time to establish yourself at the top table. Maybe, one year if things can be kept steady we can break things up a bit, but right now we should be aiming to be the 'best of the rest' consistently. There's potential for us to do that 2 years in a row, 2/3 season in the PL isn't a bad hit rate. It's certainly not ideal, but realistically I don't see much alterative. I'm not all that opposed to being an upper-midtable team that may occasionally have a run for Europe etc.

Oh, also the International Womens Day is a good example too. White men cannot stand anything that is not catered for them, hence why the demands for International Mens Day, which there is. This was quite illuminating I thought, the only time it gets much mention, is around IWD. Basically, guys like to go "Wahhhh Wahhh Wahhh, what about me" a lot:

The parallels with racist threads I find interesting. I guess it's mostly down to privilege. I honestly don't think many of the posters are massively misogynistic in nature, and probably are mostly decent folk. However, privilege is a funny thing and does funny things to folk. The things I mention are really really tame, but seem to get quite the reaction. For example, "maybe guys should think about where they put their penis and the possible consequences" is met with utter disdain. I don't think the board is full of potential rapists, but it's asking straight white guys to maybe try thinking about others in a society that is pretty much centred around them that seems such disdainful reactions. The racism threads are similar, the "don't make an issue of race, treat it all the same" stuff is a classic example of this. It's very easy for a straight white guy (which includes myself) to say just don't make an issue of racism. It can be well intentioned (I believe it was), however the reality for people who are from minority groups to treat race as a non-issue when they are confronted by it on a daily basis is probably a kick in the shins. That is privilege, I don't believe it is possible for straight white guys to be sufferers of sexism or racism in this country. That's not to say they(/we) can't be subjected to sexist or racist comments. Anyway, more power to you Lou. Keep on posting a long those lines, I will too. Have to admit, I do quite enjoy watching how angry people get at the mere suggestion women be treated as people and that sometimes guys everyday 'normal' behaviour can indeed be a bit ****ty. A few minor changes could possibly make everyone's life better. Apparently that is a controversial view point, let's all just be nicer to each other.

Well, even with him missing for I think 12 league games of the season we still have the best defence in the league. Being just shy of half the games (14) it would at least suggest we don't crumble in his absence. I don't have a win ratio to hand though. I do hope we can keep him, though I fear it is unlikely, but I don't think it is the end of the world. Performances this season have shown that is as much about the unit, and organisation that help build a solid defence as it is the individuals themselves.
-
I found it most odd myself. Lou & UJ are two people I've had pretty pleasant interactions with on here. Granted, Jeff & I often disagree, but I like to think it's largely been civil. I really can't be arsed holding grudges with people on an internet forum to be honest. I was largely anonymous and ignored until I started posting vaguely feminist stuff, well outside of Music chat. So never really had any, that I was aware of. As I said before, free hugs for all.

Interested in Hernandez according to the Mirror

FFS, every season. There is an "Emergency Loan" window between transfer windows for Football League clubs for short-term domestic loans. Premier League clubs cannot sign loan players outside of the two transfer windows, with the exception of cases where they are hit by a severe number of injuries and with the permission of other clubs in the league (this is effectively if a club doesn't have any fit goalies they can borrow one for a bit). The only transfers PL clubs can make is the signing of free agents, however there is also a deadline for this. -
S'ok Smirks, I'm not that attractive. I most likely won't have that effect, unless chaps with long hair and beards are your sort of thing. Hugs are good for the soul. I'll PM you my Twitter, give us a follow dude. I want more Saints chat on my twitter. It's too full of games stuff, and frankly, that's just depressing at the moment.

Yeah fair point. I certainly wouldn't fancy it. Even the noise the refs down the local Goals I used to play at would be enough to put me off (I'm far from an angel in that regard, though did endeavour to improve that). Still, he did seem to enjoy being at the heart of things tonight. Fair play though, he got every decision right for me though, which as you say does deserve credit. We haven't seen enough of that of late.
-
I can't imagine I'd get the chance, but I shall endeavour not to. She'd probably have me anyway. As I've said before, I'm pretty pathetic really.

This Deppo intrigues me, I hear him(/her?) mentioned semi-frequently on here. Think I joined too late to see them in action. Another TSW myth lost to newbies.

Funnily, I quite like a number of these policy ideas.
