Top 10 dirtest players in this season PL
KelvinsRightGlove replied to doddisalegend's topic in The Saints
My initial thought too. Along with Shawcross and N'Zonzi. The lot of 'em are thugs. -
Great season but 1 out of 21 away since 7th feb !
KelvinsRightGlove replied to Roger's topic in The Saints
Funny, I remember the same stuff from you bout this time last year. Let me guess, every other team is bound to improve etc. no way any other team will fail to get stronger or have poor seasons again... -
Not long back, trying to compose my thoughts fully before writing in much detail but, wow. That really was a truly stunning performance. Haven't had a chance to listen to loads, but even without knowing all the stuff it was a wonderful night.

Monday night, friend. I'll be sure to let you know

Our On-the-Beach mentality is a f**king disgrace
KelvinsRightGlove replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Saints
Surprised he didn't blame it on his lad, again. -
Excellent. I genuinely love how upset dudes are getting about it. Some MRAs even tried to boycot it. http://wehuntedthemammoth.com/2015/05/12/furious-about-furiosa-misogynists-are-losing-it-over-charlize-therons-starring-role-in-mad-max-fury-road/ Which, yeah went REALLY well. It's ok though, because they are still claiming victory, somehow. http://wehuntedthemammoth.com/2015/05/16/fury-and-furiouser-the-boycott-of-mad-max-fury-road-is-the-biggest-joke-on-the-internet-manbabies-declare-victory/ ...you may of heard about Roosh recently, a story went around about him. He has been (completely seriously) advocating for the decriminalisation of rape, in order to make women think about how they act. Because, yeah? And one more, just for fun: http://wehuntedthemammoth.com/2015/05/15/a-voice-for-men-doesnt-hate-mad-max-fury-road-except-when-it-does/ That's a great little blog for laughing at whiny little man babies in general as well. I think some of members of this forum would align with some of the the subject material on there. You know, the ones that are absolutely insistent that sexism (also racism) doesn't exist in any way shape or form. Obviously.

Premier League footballer tests positive for cocaine
KelvinsRightGlove replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Heard similar from someone that is a bit of a 'gossip journalist'. Not so much the bans, but that players going out and doing coke is fairly widespread. Out Saturday after the game, Sunday off, call in sick Monday. Supposedly it's out of your system by the Tuesday. I'm not up to speed enough of the testing or how it works to know if that is right, but just what I was told. I'm sure most have heard the rumours of a couple of Prem players that have had lengthy lay offs which some have suggested were actually drugs bans. Not keen on naming names, as I have no idea if such accusations have any substance whatsoever. Not sure I believe them entirely, but stranger things have happened I guess. -
I'd sign him on the basis of his name alone.

I love Mad Max purely for how angry it has made the 'manosphere' (I'm not making that up btw, that's a real thing). I've not even seen the darn thing.
-
Maybe, JackanorySFC didn't read the post properly? I was replying directly to a post linking the article I was talking about, and at no point reference any reason for why someone would have voted Tory.

Another hit! The Pap tribute thread.
KelvinsRightGlove replied to Tokyo-Saint's topic in The Muppet Show
T'is a dark day in TSW history. -
Zzzzzzz. Master class in missing the point there. I was referring specifically to the article trousers posted, and giving examples of how many of the things in that article are daft and 'the right' are equally culpable. Not individual Tory voters.

Again, largely agree with this. I'm tempted to suggest that perhaps you are slightly underplaying the role Blair played. Granted, my knowledge of this is learned as history having been too young to really notice it at the time. I think he did play a role in helping to unify a party that itself was fractured. I think he also was a driving force in moving the party more towards the centre ground (arguably Blair is in some ways RoC). That's not to say you are wrong in the mess of the Tories, and people's general apathy towards them after 18 years of government at the time playing a huge role also. Dunno, may be wrong. As I said, this is an impression from looking back at it as a piece of history, instead of lived experience.

More top work pap. *KRG nods approvingly*

Nah, didn't miss it. As Hockey_saint said, plenty have been given already. There's plenty of examples on this thread and elsewhere that have been discussed. If you want to ignore them that's up to you, I'm not playing some silly game of jumping through hurdles for you to ignore stuff again.

I know I'm going back a little here, but those that were taking popshots at Laurie Penny for being some left wing loon, did anyone see what happened as a result? Katie Hopkins went on one of her oh so informed tirades on Twitter (the latest in a series, she seems to have some sort of thing for LP), knowing full well her army of obedient trolls will follow suit and inundate her with trash. But yeah, it's all lefties that are mean and the right wingers are cowering reserved types, right? The whole politics of fear thing is just straight up bullshít n all. That was the majority of the Tory campaign, "imagine the country run by the SNP. Why would you give the keys back to the people that crashed the (global) economy etc etc". Or the smear campaign run in Murdoch's publications about how Ed couldn't possibly be PM, because he looks a bit odd? Finally, if you are privileged enough to see the whole thing as a game, and think people are upset that their team lost you really haven't a clue. You are lucky enough to not actually be worried about policy (probably Tory or labour, aside from maybe a bit of tax here and there). Whilst the worst off see their quality of life continue to plunge, disabled people are demonised for their existence and the use of food banks surge.

Agree about Chuka being a bit of an over polished, slightly posh robot. That said, it worked for Blair and Cameron? Interesting to see the, actually really nice, right wingers are already sharpening their knives. Apparently, he is too old to have a girlfriend? This, is supposedly an issue? http://conservativewoman.co.uk/laura-perrins-stylish-chuka-is-too-old-to-have-a-girlfriend/

This the same person that thinks it's too much to ask to read the post he's replying to. Blah blah, it's a football forum. Which he why he spends so much time talking about non football related stuff.

Like many, I've been banging the Austin drum for a little while. Would be very pleased if we were to sign him. The reported price of £10m does seem like a steal.
-
It's pretty good value.
-
I really cannot understand this. Cameron has experienced first hand what must surely be one of the most painful experiences anyone can ever go through, having and subsequently losing a disabled child. How someone that has been through that, and still allows the vicious callow attacks on disabled people in society is baffling. It is personally one of my biggest problems with the man.
-
Haha oh Hypo.
-
It certainly is, yes. But it is just one step (granted a positive one). The next step is to ensure that having a more diverse cabinet (it's still pretty white middle-class) leads to better representation across the board. As I said before, many feel that Maggie had a negative impact for women in society despite her being a woman herself. As I've also said, it's not worth if the women put in certain positions are then going to harm the interests of other marginalised people in society. For example, Caroline Dineage's appointment as equalities minister given her anti-gay marriage stance previously.
