I think davis might go into cm for morgan eith mayuka/punch coming on for morgan, cant see morgan surviving the game he must be on his last warning now
-
Glad to see the ref letting plenty go, this game could have been really stop start
-
I think you might see Mayuka deployed as the plan b against tight defenses today. Last 20 mins have the potential to be exciting. Im predicting 2-2
-
Should be a good win for you, J-Rod will get behind their lines and with the form he's in he'll get a few goals too. Would be nice to see Mayuka on the bench and see what he can do in the last half hour if the result seems certain. It's really important you figure out if he can do a job as a backup striker/backup winger before you get to the summer. I'll go out on a limb and say 3-1. Rodriguez, Lambert, Ramirez

What a peach
-
A good result for you. QPR might yet escape but no chance they'll get more points than you're on already, any points off wigan is a bonus
-
Ah i was try to figure out what was going on i thought it was points! Cheers for clearing it up
-
The table on their site is so incredibly wrong has QPR on 51 but says he's only given them +13 its +28 by my count. Also saints are on 22 which they say is -6 when in reality its -12. The whole prediction thing is an absolute shambles
-
I think he's more saying they chose the right man to replace him than they were right to replace him. Media love to spin it though
-
I suppose the main worry is that it only takes 1 bad week and you're dragged right back in it, that said you should easily beat Reading and then win another 2 or 3 more along the way. Football doesnt always pan out that way though...
-
The sooner Fonte or Forren can get back 100% the better for you imo. I think Hooiveld, although generally strong, always looks to have atleast one mistake in him and its these small margins which have lost you points this season in games you really deserved to win.
-
I make it 6 winnable games for you from the final 7, if you dont pick up the 4-6 points you'll need from that you won't have deserved to have stayed up. But I'm very confident you'll stay up with ease in the end, probably 5-7 points clear
-
Just had to happen really didn't it, drop points and get unlucky against the teams around you then produce a ridiculous result. 2 more wins out of 8 should do the job imo.

6 winnable games left for you and I think you only need to win 4 out of the remaining 9 or 3 wins and 2 draws. I think you'll probably win 3 and then maybe cause an upset somewhere along the way. Still think you'll see it out unless one of Villa or QPR go on an incredible run -
Jeez just seen that villa have 7 winnable games from their last 10. Wigan are also awesome at this time of the year, plus last week has let QPR back into it! 3 points is a must today, any less and you look in real trouble

I think the Chairmans big mistake was getting rid of Adkins when he did. He either needed to do it before January or wait until the summer, the manager needed to bring in some of his own players to settle down the team or just wait until the summer. Its left a team in transition at a time where quite frankly it doesnt matter how you play as long as you win. I still think you'll be fine. I just find it incredibly frustrating how the club seem to be doing what they can to make it hard for themselves so I can't imagine how you guys feel! It really was just one of those days today where you didn't do anything overly bad but lacked any real quality too. You need to win 4/10 really to be fine and the winnable games are there, but theres just a bit more pressure now that QPR are creeping up and thats yet another game where you should have taken points gone.
-
The strangest thing for me seems be to doing the Forren deal in January. Even if they club wanted him why didnt they just wait until the summer, January signings almost always struggle to make an immediate impact. The only logical thing I can think of is that they were worried Fonte wasn't going to recover properly and they'd need someone to step in. For Mayuka it was never going to be straight forward, with ACON the club will have made a deliberate aim not to make him crucial to the team early on and now the side cant afford to let people get used to the league on the pitch. So he's just been a bit unlucky rather than anything else! I still think you'll be fine but you're making a bloody fuss of it at the moment when the way you've played at times you should be pushing towards the top 10.
-
Adkins is still on the payroll maybe theyll give him another go
-
Im afraid thats what happens when youve got two championship defenders on. Really disapointing to score two away from home and take nothing with you back home! You should still be fine but next week is massive now
-
H Feel free to read through my posts they're mainly level headed and not reactionary when you lose. I dont have an emotional connection so I'm much less likely to go into a meltdown after losing than you. The only bad words ivehad to say about your club is when you sacked adkins and hired pochettino. Youre being a knob for the sake of it
-
Im a united fan and post on their forum too but ive been really impressed with the setup and ambition at southampton. If you look on the united forum almost all the good things said about the saints comes from me. Couldnt speak more highly of your team
-
Do you not find it a bit more interesting having an outsiders view too? I live in the city and go along to games when .i can and have for the last 3 years. It helps stimulate a bit more debate you utter mong.
-
Biggest game of the season for you imo, a win puts you out of danger but a loss drags you right back into it all. The key has to be to not lose anything else is a bonus
-
Im not sure there are many coaches with better stats for getting promoted than him, plus when you consider he's done it at two clubs plus kept one in touch in the premiership then he'd be quite tempting. He's certainly done better than Warnock. Martinez would be joining a premiership job over a championship anyway, he's turned down Liverpool before perhaps even Chelsea might get tempted by his credentials. For me Martinez is the successor to Moyes or a big club if they give him assurances of time. I'd say Adkins is the biggest name going who is a realistic prospect for any championship team. If any manager got sacked in the Championship right now I'd imagine Adkins is the first man they try and sound out. Also he has the pro of not being too expensive so he's the kind of bloke you can take a punt on getting you into the Premiership and then get rid as and when. Add to that he's a free agent so no pay off and he's about the best managerial risk going.
