Thank god you're here captain hindsight.

In the last couple of games I've seen Martina in he's looked very capable; good at attacking, some decent crosses and most of all doesn't lose the ball that much when he bursts forward to attack. Been impressed with him tbh.
-
Great news, suppose Mané and Wanyama won't be going then.

Post-Match Reaction: SAINTS 1-1 Sunderland
cobbysouth replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Though Martina played well yesterday. Lots of smart decisions, kept possession well and him and Mane were the pushing force behind a lot of our attacks at times. -
Was a quality pass, in the box and ripped open there defense. We all keep complaining about the lack of creativity and that pass although snatched at by pelle was the moment of most significant creativity I've seen in the last 3 games.

Cedric in the top 10 best tacklers in the PL (so far)
cobbysouth replied to doddisalegend's topic in The Saints
Was very skeptical when I saw it too, however apparently the club's wages were leaked online. However the articles just say one number; normally contracts are more complicated that that. It says online Bellerin is on 10k as well. -
James Ward-Prowse's list of indisputable, unimprovable weaknesses

Nearly at 100 premier league caps, at 21 that's impressive. -
Can we PAY Arsenal/Tottenham to take Wanyama away from us?
cobbysouth replied to Singapore Saint's topic in The Saints
Wanyama would've got my motm yesterday if it weren't for the red card. Think he's an excellent player, always harder to see that after he tried to leave. -
Gotta disagree, yeah he's not the best right back but as a 3rd/4th choice cb option in the bpl he's actually pretty damn good. Our 3rd choice CB If it is indeed Yoshida and not Gardos when fit then it's much much better than our 2nd choice right back. When played in the right position he's actually a very capable player. But then again so does anyone who lines up next to Fonte
-
You may not see it as drivel, but I'm not gunna get worked up that one of our players wasn't seen in some photos by someone, it's especially not worth the arguments in the thread so far XD
-
Vectis saint and toadhall saint may be the worst bit of banter ever, Vectis if you don't get the joke then I guess we're gunna get more of this bot in the training video so must be injured drivel.
-
So do you expect mane to attack as aggresively as he does then instantly be sprinting back and defending? Are cb's aren't sprinting up the pitch taking on loads of players then running back and defending, with possible exception of vvd at times. Unrealistic to expect any player to constantly be working.
-
Just from the title of this thread I'd realise it was just gunna be more moaning. Best way to support a club is to be behind them through good and bad. In my eyes the 5 years of which the plan was operational we soared from league one to a good and entertaining premier league team.

Made me laugh a lot

Doing a lot better than we were 5 years ago, as long as we stay in the premier league and this awesome journey can continue ill be happy. Coys!!!

Our defence and midfield have looked decent this season, some very nice play again. Don't think anyone on here doubts that the problem is goals. Long scored 2 against arsenal but isn't gunna do that much and pelle hasn't been scoring. Neither has mane or tadic or davis or clasie or wanyama. At the moment van dijk and fonte feel like some of our best attacking threats. I don't blame that on koeman, he makes mis takes but so does every manager.
-
I don't blame koeman, if we're playing better and having more chances then the tactics are working. I blame the players, attacks look slow and not dangerous. Pelle can score but can't move. Long can move but can't score.
-
I don't think a team 12th in the league, even know we're playing in the worst form we've been in for a while, can be considered as a club with like 90% championship players. Half of the "championship players" you mentioned came 7th in the league last season. Mong.
-
Annoying that wanyama is out but it's a position of which we have some cover. Wouldn't mind a small scrappy win, if we have top 7 aspirations for this season we can only be going into this game aiming for a win.
-
The problem is if we keep replacing the core of our team we will eventually find a group that don't work together. Even if it works for the next 2 or 3 transfer windows eventually the replacements won't be good enough. Is that such a hard thing to see?
-
This selling are best players and buying cheap alternatives abroad may be great when it works but it's not sustainable. It can't keep working forever, would be a massive move by the club to keep him for a while longer.
-
Yes we should've won. That doesn't mean if we have a bad game we will still ein every time. Man United should've beaten mk dons. They didn't.
-
In a world where Ross Mccormack goes for 10 mil you aren't going to consistently find cheap alternatives for our top players. It may work for a bit but eventually it has to end. There's a reason juanmi soares cost us 3.5 mil rather than 15, not saying any of them will be bad, here's hoping they do well.

How's clasie looked?
