We are in trouble.
-
Don't get me started on Charlie Nicholas, who was willing on City to score.
-
It's very common for players to do this. I've seen it a lot this season. I think they're drilled to do so by clubs to avoid any type of conversations being picked up by hundreds of cameras.

We're gonna win this one. Anyone else have a twinge in their mangina? COYf***ingS Richard Dryden's red and white army, you fat bastarrrrdd

"12 years of an OK career DESTROYED in 90 minutes!"

Hows he been since? It's all gone a bit quiet.

This is such a dreadful situation. I'm all for a manager coming in to keep us safe but the entire foundation of our status will be wiped away. The forward march is over. It's sadly evident, and deflating.
-
Really disappointed in how Pellegrino has turned out. I'm struggling to think of anyone capable of turning this around if he's sacked. It's very similar to the downfall after Strachan.
-
Sorry, i've misread his post. Judging by the time it was posted, I thought he was discussing a board meeting later that day. Now I realise he was talking about what was said in the meeting. Apologies.

This clearly didn't happen then, lardy chops?
-
No, but managers moving between clubs is a different proposition to players, IMO. I totally agree most Celtic players would give their right arm, even if they were die hard fans of the club, to play for Saints in the Premier League. I think it's different with managers. Again, just my opinion, managers like Rodgers view clubs like Celtic as a career goal rather than a stepping stone. There is prestige to these clubs which teams like Southampton don't have, regardless of league quality.
-
I said people were deluded to think we could attempt Rodgers not because of the stature of our club compared to Celtic, but because he's a Celtic fan.
-
What was the outcome then, lad? Also, fans are deluded in thinking we can go for Brendan at Celtic. Stick with Pellegrino, we'll come good.

The gift that keeps on giving. 'Sam Allardyce should be the next Southampton FC manager' http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/15653106.READER_LETTER__Saints__enough_is_enough___go_and_get_Sam_Allardyce/?ref=rss "I never thought to hear myself say this but go and get Sam Allardyce before it’s too late. At least he will steady the ship because, make no mistake, we are heading for the bottom three, with our only hope that there will be three teams worse than us at the end of the season." The above scenario is 2005 relegation all over again.
-
I completely agree but he won't be given a chance in the Premier League. The same with Bob Bradley and other appointments considered experiments. Poch was and still is a complete one off.
-
That's a fair assessment. What's happened to Fraser is a huge shame. He was out-of-this-world against Arsenal on NYD 2015. If he can sort himself out, we will push for mid-table. Sounds like a mediocre prospect but I don't think we can hope for much more this season.

Echo reader letter. Saints are heading for relegation under Pellegrino http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/15644858.READER_LETTER__Saints_are_heading_for_relegation_under_Pellegrino/?ref=twt&cid=dlvr.it Featuring such gems as: "The team formation has been crying out for two strikers up front from the start, playing 4-4-2." "Claude Puel’s sacking was obscene to say the least. He was got rid of prematurely and I personally wish him all the success at Leicester." "Whomever was responsible for this awful manager coming in deserves to be sacked." "Boufal, Tadic, Redmond need to be put on the transfer list ASAP." What a load of laughable, reactionary b*llocks Probably why we as fans are looked upon as a whiney, ungrateful bunch. Well, maybe not to many clubs but I think some of our own fans think that about us. The football served up by Pellegrino ISN'T bad - we just can't score. Defensively, we're exceptional. Once the forward line is sorted, we'll be OK.
-
Is this proof we've stalled and been surpassed in stature by the likes of Burnley? Or have we just regressed in international quality?
-
“I am happy and that’s the most important thing so we will just see what happens." That's the most telling line.
-
Would Koeman come back?
-
Saints will finish above Watford this season. Silva's not great. In fact, they'll struggle.
