  1. I really want to support NJ but he massively needs a result against Fulham, otherwise the club will need to act fast. I fear the struggle to survive will be too great with the squad currently we have. I think a major issue here is that the club have struggled to sell the NJ project to the fanbase. While I’m still scratching my head over his appointment, NJ’s been fighting a losing battle from the very beginning. The club haven’t exactly justified swapping Ralph for an unproven manager in the PL. The mic training session was a faux pas, his press conferences are the same regurgitated questions and answers, largely on how much it is a privilege for him to manage in the PL and how “Rome wasn’t built in a day”. Give us some bloody hope. NJ truly needs to say it how it is. We are not good enough and haven’t been for the past year. Both the club and NJ have done nothing to galvanise the fan base or the players from what I can see.
  2. We need to get rid. Even the Lincoln game was atrocious. Out of his depth.
  3. If NJ says “Rome wasn’t built in a day” in his post match interview, I’m done.
  4. We’ve actually gone backwards.
  5. I reckon we’ll get Newcastle away.
  6. Awful.
  7. Jan Window fantasy sounds like those bawdy 70s films Channel 5 used to show after 11pm.
  8. Souness is just doing his job in stirring the pot.

    Niemi

Niemi actually admits it in his latest interview with the OS. You’re spot on though - Niemi is my favourite Saints goalie.
  11. Salisu at fault there?
  12. I reckon Japan will beat Spain.
  13. We have more chance of signing Mateus wine as sponsors I’m afraid.
  14. Funnily enough, Saints learned two things about dealing with Man United after these scenarios: 1. Never give anyone your last Rojo. 2. Saints were confident of signing a left back that summer but Couldn’t Believe It Wasn’t Buttner.

    Niemi

The world’s been a worser place since I learned that call was staged.
  16. It’s a pun or play on words for “monster”.
  17. Sorry to be that person but Reynolds is Canadian.
  18. He’s going to be an awesome keeper. Glad we have him.
  19. Because they were big time Premier League gamble appointments at the time they were brought in. We are in a relegation fight nearly half way through the season. NJ is a massive gamble.
  20. Well, there’s nothing else for us to do now as fans but back him 100%. I did say the other day that if there’s one club that should have learned from past mistakes it should be us (think Luggy, Gray, Wigley). However I do like the way he comes across in his interviews and he will give his all, which gives me hope. I’m sure SR know what they are doing and he’s close to Matt Crocker. It’s very enjoyable watching a few bitter Stoke fans slag him off on social media. It’s a big gamble for us but I’d love him to build something special here.
  21. Most of the parents on the Palace documentary drove their kids to training too as the Palace training ground is actually close to Beckenham. Knowing south London, it can take a long time to get anywhere. One of the dads would drive his son from east London to training most evenings, which takes bloody ages.
  22. Will be great to see Shearer back at Saints and fair play to Jones for bringing fellow Welshman Chris Coleman with him.
  23. Your team really highlights what a shocking decision it was not to buy a striker. Absolutely zero threat.
  24. This is really weird. I have an old Nokia 3210 with a text on it from a Plymouth supporting mate who said the exact same thing about Sturrock in 2004.
  25. It’s just a shame how much our stock has fallen as a Premier League club in just a few years. We’ve gone from attracting Koeman to a Lowe-esque gamble on an unproven entity in a top league who’s only excelled in the lower tiers. The Sturrock appointment put the wheels in motion of our last top flight relegation. You’d have thought that if there is one club that would have learned from its past mistakes, it’s this one.
