How long until we hear “this is turning into one of those special Anfield nights”? -
Yep, fair enough!

Let Leeds have their moment and promotion because we all know what’s going to happen. Farke isn’t a Premier League manager. He can do it in the Championship but his football doesn’t work in the league above. They’ll be on his back in no time. I truly believe we’re building something quite special under Russell Martin. I’ve been as disappointed as the next fan over the two most recent defeats and think we’ll have to settle for play offs (which I would’ve snapped your hand off for at the start of the season) but we’ve played some of our best football in years this season, gone on an incredible record breaking run and brought back the fun factor after three dreadful years. If we don’t go up, we just have to trust the process. We’ve barely heard from Sports Republic this year but I’d like to think they have plans in place for all scenarios. Yes, we might be a Championship side again but hopefully we’ve impressed enough potential new players to make us an enticing proposition again.

RM has to take a lot of credit for our good season so far but I can’t get my head around why he thought that was a good selection tonight. We all knew it would be catastrophic. I knew we wouldn’t win but seeing that starting XI solidified sticking a few quid on a Hull win and both sides to score. Easy money. I just hope our form doesn’t take an even bigger nosedive from here.

I don’t think we’ll win.

He forgot about Keane’s tackle on Haaland then. Oh…

This thread became a hot topic in an hour. Finally, a topic we can all agree on.

Seem to remember Paul Smith being very solid for us. Along with Maik Taylor, a goalkeeper who deserved more of a chance.

It’s one of the biggest clubs in the world.

I’d like to share your optimism but Wilcox has already spoken with United. I don’t think this story would come out if JW wasn’t interested or already making moves to go.

The stark reality of being a Championship club.

3-1 WBA. Wheels well and truly off.

Another season this league it is, then.

Too easy for City.

Shame we are taking part in the most competitive Championship season ever. Amazing to think we’ve only lost four games but still at risk of falling out of the automatics if we don’t win.
-
Yep, fair enough. I think they’re a good side with a good manager, reminiscent of our Adkins year.
-
And yet they’re still only a point behind us, which shows how incredible their start has been. We could easily lose form whenever the inevitable defeat is. It’s crucial we keep winning because we can’t afford a loss in form as bad as Ipswich’s.

I’ve honestly no idea why so many are thinking this about Ipswich.

First time I’ve been able to listen to Solent commentary in years! Weirdly comforting listening to Jo Tessem.

Involved in 26 goals in 29 league games. Player of the season so far, surely?

Should take a leaf out of those Rotherham blokes’ book yesterday.
