  1. Hull are playing well... apart from that last tackle that just gave away a penalty...
  2. Sub: Wanyama off. JWP on.
  3. Just watched the Pelle 'miss'. More like good save by the 'keeper imo. He narrowed the angle well. Ok, 2nd half. Score, please, Saints (in Hull's goal).
  4. Agree with this wholeheartedly.
  5. Saints, 4 shots: 2 on, 2 off target. Hull? 10 shots: 2 on, 8 off. Surely we should be having more than 4 shots in 45 minutes at home?
  6. Probably the 2 games for accumulated yellows, plus the 1 for red card. As it is he misses Stoke & Spuds games. Hmm.
  7. Wanyama booked for... something? Couldn't see that one either. Slight tug and a lot of complaint from the Hull fella. I think Tadic & Clyne on at HT, for Davis & ANOther, then Elias with 20 mins to go.
  8. Attack attack speed speed... ... oh we slowed it down again
  9. Pelle booked for... something? Can't work that one out.

  11. Ok, so we're not dominating possession. Maybe that will give us better chances up front. Good move a minute ago.
  12. Rubbish touch from Long
  13. First time, lucky dip... 7th. Brugger!
  14. I was at Murrayfield enjoying another defeat for Scotland , but a fantastic Irish party afterwards Just recovered! Hence I didn't realise my [not very original] idea was tried first half yesterday. All opinions and responses gratefully received, though.
  15. Right, didn't know that. Maybe not such a great plan then. He did seem genuinely exasperated when he hit the bar - sometimes the luck just doesn't happen.
  16. Does anyone think it would be good to provide Pelle with some 'protection' such as playing Long alongside him, with Mane in a wider position ready to cut inside if needed? Might provide Everton with some confusion defensively. I get the impression Pelle's been quite exposed, with reference to lots of forum comments mentioning how he always has 2 or 3 defenders on his back whenever the ball is close.
  17. Maybe Chelsea need to look at their technique in the opposition box. Clearly their 'falling over' isn't convincing enough. Perhaps that's what Jose was actually complaining about. Need to hire a better 'in the box' coach.
  18. And if you reach your quota early, no more penalties for any reason after that, for the rest of the season! That would muck up Man Utd & Liverpool's plans somewhat! I imagine every club in the league could point out at least half a dozen 'obvious penalties' they should have had, but didn't. Would've Could've Should've Didn't!
  19. Well, I mentioned them in the same sentence. Is that 'bucketing'?
  20. Exactly. My remark was a pre-emptive intention to keep him off the list, really. Just in case someone was thinking about it...
  21. Not being a regular at SMS I can't comment with authority, but based on these please accept my comments as noted above.
  22. Fonte by a mile. Others have been consistently good all season (with only a few 'off' games) and generally make a difference when they're on the field: Clyne Schneiderlin Bertrand Wanyama Long & Mane have been great additions with fantastic contributions in bursts, but I don't think they've made enough of a consistent difference to the team during the season. I think it's more likely to be a defensive player, either in the defence or DM, due to our amazing 'goals conceded' record thus far.
  23. Says on Sky Sports that McArthur was booked on 30mins and Delaney later on. I only watched the 2nd half so can't help otherwise.
  24. Well.... Tadic did alright IMO, gave us a different perspective and some new angles into the box - maybe gave others more confidence cos they were trying something new. His own shooting was still rubbish, though. JWP attacked alright (his shot was saved, rebounded to set up the goal), but defensively woeful - nearly threw it away but some last-ditch tackles and interceptions from Fonte and Yoshida saved us. Long did his usual 'lots of running and being a nuisance', which seemed to allow Bertrand & Clyne to attack more up the flanks. You may get other opinions...
  25. At the moment, agreed. Maybe he got complacent for his place? Needs to work to earn it back - maybe that'll help him rediscover his scoring touch.
