Hi everyone Our daughter cannot go to the game so we have 1 adult ticket available with food voucher at face value so just a fiver if anyone is still looking for one. We are going up today (Friday) and staying up overnight so these are the options:- 1. Pick up from our home address in Hedge End today 2. Meet up in the morning in Swansea 3. Meet up before the game at the ground Can't PM so my mobile number is 07747 600157. I will amend this post if and when it is sold. -
I've done it, it's only at 153 so far so obviously needs more visibility to be effective.

Some great posts (like rasiak-9 but others too) on this thread thought I would add my bit, bit of a lurker here but do post on FootballForums.net as happysaint. Firstly on the previous post, easy to say we have a great defence after having played the might of WBA, SUN, NOR and WHU. Let's see how we do with our first proper test at Anfield and then this may have some credence. I feel for Cork what has he done wrong? Brilliant partnership with Morgan last year and to be honest MS doesn't even look the same player as he seems to be playing in a slightly different role. I am on the Wanyama fence, a beast he is but I want more for £12m and at the moment I'm not sure he is even an upgrade on Cork. We have no width whatsoever which is exacerbated by the full backs not pushing up like before presumably because they have no cover as we have no midfield just 4 forwards!!! We let our two quickest players go (Punch and Mayuka) and now rely on JWP and Lallana both of whom aren't exactly well endowed with speed. So we end up with a team with lots of round pegs in square holes and trying to fit players in whilst leaving out questionably our biggest talent and creative player in Ramirez (whom most fans were looking forward to seeing an improvement from this season and so far have been denied), does MP not rate or trust him ? Whilst we play with all this attacking intent they don't seem to link up that well and often seem isolated ending in a lot of long balls. I really want to be positive but I'm not that happy with the start (and having been to all 4 games by the way) given the fixtures and we really should have been looking to get more points and better performances to hang our hats on so MP has work to do to convince me that we are on this path to the next level.

With MU winning the title with a month to spare and us nearly safe it's got me thinking that the season will soon be over, one that us Saints fans eagerly anticipated and I have to say it's been a rollercoaster for us with the baptsim of fire with MC, MU and ARS in the first 4 games then battling to overcome the tag of relegation certainties, then when we were on the up we had to contend with Adkins Gate and every neutral on the planet hating us just when we were starting to impress with our style of football. In addition to not missing a home game I've been to 7 away games ARS 1-6, QPR 3-1, Ful 1-1, Sto 3-3, Av 1-0, Nor 0-0, Swa 0-0 and have tickets for Spurs and I have to say I have thoroughly enjoyed the away days, our fans have been fantastic, win draw or lose we keep getting behind the team. The highlights for me have been:- 1. Proving we are a good side to the (PL) football world. 2. Beating Man City at home and following it up with wins v Chelsea and Liverpool. 3. Outplaying Man U at Old Trafford earning Fergie's respect as the best team that had gone there. Felt proud to be a Saints fan even though we lost. 4. Losing on the opening day to MC but we gave them one helluva a shock and then nearly beating MU at home but threw it away in the last few minutes. 5. Sir RL proving he could cut it in the PL having proved it everywhere else, a true Saints legend. 6. Schneiderlin and Cork proving what a class defensive midfield pairing they are that will hopefully be at the club for years to come. The lows:- 1 Really only the shambolic way Adkins was treated (even if the decision itself has proved itself) and the way it damaged the image of our club at the time. But time heals. Great to be a Saints fan! the future is bright the future is red and white! WTFILN! Have I missed anything?

It's a valid thread and its raised good discussion despite people like you. I'm a Saints fan but don't feel the need to post on here. What does number of posts have to do with anything ? I started a positive thread on Adkins which got ignored. I started this more controversial one which I felt was justified and everyone piles in, attack the outsider ! The abuse new posters get justifies my non posting. Coyr!

You need a hard hat and elephant skin when you post in here I hadn't appreciated that tickets were so expensive £38 to £48 quid a game for a full paying adult is a lot tbh especially when people can watch on TV. Anyway my embarrassment is fast disappearing and being replaced by one of smug satisfaction that we have so few empty seats given all adverse factors. Thanks for clearing this up.

We are becoming embarrassing and we are getting stick from away fans, EMPTY SEATS MY LORD etc etc. Can we only sell out for Man U and the like? Aren't we supposed to be MASSIVE! Is it price?, apathy, day and time, on TV or all of those. I hate seeing empty seats. RANT over.

A thread for the positive only. I say get off his back and support the guy. Yes Nigel Adkins makes mistakes, who doesn't? He should stay as manager even if we go down (although I think we will stay up), his positivity has been crucial to our success so far and I hope he is given a Pardew style 8 year contract as a vote of confidence in him. We need stability more than anything after all the turbulent years of managerial changes and I believe given time he will get it right.

If you had the choice as a top player to play in the Australian League on big money or in the PL on less money but still a good wedge pitting your wits against the very best in the world I know which one I'd choose. For someone who has stayed loyal to his club even when they were demoted he doesn't come across as someone who considers money of primary importance therefore I'm hopeful he will make a decision based on football and come to Saints. He would be a Keeganesque signing even at 37, he would offer so much on and off the field financially and helping the young talent we already have plus it could have a very positive effect for Ramirez too. Obviously we need defenders more but I don't see this as an unnecessary signing.

There were rumours of Jarvis earlier, that seems to have gone quiet but I think he would be a risk free choice, can play on both flanks and is a proven Premier player. Plus he's English and young still.
