  1. Sounds like Leigertwood is doubtful. From what I hear he and Karacan (out too as we all know) have been instrumental in their recent form. If our midfield plays like it did against Palace we'll no doubt have the control of the game. This is gonna be a game where we need to take our chances as their going to be limited. I think we should play at a high tempo from the KO and get at them. Same team as the Palace line up for me.
  2. The Sun linking us with him. Can't see us wanting to bring him back .... Thankfully. Matt Jarvis on the other hand.
  3. That team would have been destroyed in the PL with that drunk. The team now is a million better than that. Plus we have one thing money can't buy TEAM SPIRIT. That 06/07 team had none of it due to Burley (worst Saints manager in recent history).
  4. He's a great player. 4 goals already. Can't believe people had began trying to write him off. Laughable really.

    Guly

Guly scored 11 important goals contributing to us being in the top two. What a c*nt. He is a player with no confidence and in bad form get over it. I suppose the Chelsea fans think Torres is sh*t and a c*nt. FFS.
  6. If true then this is MASSIVE news! Would love to see SRL reach 30 league goals! He could get to 30 come full time on Saturday.
  7. Their bloody obsessed with points deductions. The only points the Skates can get is on their housing status.
  8. Utd fans were singing "City's cracking up, their cracking up, their cracking". To Footballs Coming Home. What about our own rendition "Pompey's going bust, their going bust, their going"
  9. Pathetic thread. Suppose you didn't see him win us the game last week.
  10. I'm fairly content. Norwich at home please lol.
  11. I've edited my original post as I did not want this thread to read as arrogant. And its hardly planning a promotion party is it. Surely we are in a position to look at a potential season in the Premiership as fans. Everyone knows we have seven big games yet to get through but christ surely were entitled to dream about what COULD happen next season.
  12. Ok so no dreaming about potiential promotion until it is set in stone FFS. Lock this thread then and we'll carry on speculating about the clubs finances.
  13. Friday afternoon and I'm dead bored. Everton is a good shout though.
  14. Reading let Murty take a penalty in the last game of their 106 season as he was the only one who hadn't scored in the starting line up or something. Imagine Pompey being relegated by GD because Kelvin had blasted a penalty to row Z of the Northam in the 96th minute against Coventry.
  15. IF we can hold out for promotion then who would you want first? Someone winnable maybe. Norwich at home say? I'd probably go with Newcastle at home to play a big team with a chance of getting something from. Surely we as fans are entitled to dream a little now!
  16. Let Cortese bang one in the top corner.
  17. Feelng quite content with this game. I agree with others and think a point would be a great point and keep pressure on Wham and Reading. I think Sharp will get on the scoresheet and can see him being a massive player for us in the run in. It will be interesting to see how we respond when/if we lose before the end of the season. That said under Adkins we have always responded well after a defeat.
  18. "Shearer - fair enough Le tis - great player but could have been a lot better (Joe Cole) Gareth Bale - overhyped imo, just like most british players are Wayne Bridge - He is alright, nothing to shout about Walcott - good player (could be argued that swindon had a role in his development?) Ox - See Gareth Bale (for now anyway) Personally I still think we have produced better players in the same time period." Is he comparing Le God to Joe Cole? Seriously Joe bloody Cole?! Bale and Chamberlain overhyped? Clearly this chimney sweep does not watch football.
  19. Surely this is all good news we are debt free, as the Liebherr family have effectively written off the original loan meaning if they sell we will be highly sought after with our current squad and facilities. As for the high wages, this will balance out assuming we go up won't it?
  20. If we can keep the Phillips' quiet then we should be ok in this game. I fancy us to nick 3 points. A point would be a good point though.
  21. Do we still hate him? On Super Sunday he said to Jamie Redknapp he was pleased for us being top. And lets be honest when he slagged us off after leaving we were a complete joke of a club at the time, what with Woodward and Lowe. Just think it’s a bit harsh singing about his wife etc. Can’t we just boo him and keep it a bit light hearted rather than personal.
  22. Taken from Forever Amber Hull forum "Southampton are a brilliant Championship team, it causes no shame or hurt to say it. Cracking team, positive attitude, really good manager who threatens to actually become great (and this is an ex-S****horpe boss with a bit of foot-in-mouth history round our way, so that’s some renaissance) and, actually, a rather sporting and generous set of fans too." How times have changed!!
  23. I admit I had some doubts about Fonte during our dodgy spell but thankfully I was wrong. They seem to get better with each game. I think in the Premiership they could look even better with more time on the ball. As for Jos. Well he is the best defender in the league with sheer ease.
  24. If we can beat Doncaster on Saturday then Blackpool away becomes a bit of a ‘bonus card’ game. With Wham and Reading playing each other at 3pm were going to have an opportunity to gain points on one/both when we kick off at 5.20pm and we’ll still be a good 3-5 points clear of 2nd or 3rd depending on their results. Obviously assuming we beat Donnie on Saturday.
  25. CB's were class both defensively and attackingly. COYR!!!
