Didn't realise that we did not take the full allocation. Why, we would have sold out both those. I tried desperately to get tickets for both ffs.

With prices going up and being able to stream every game people are not going as much. Forty odd quid is a lot for a ticket. We've sold out every away game.

Unchanged team for me and a great opportunty for a first home win of the new campaign. Palace won't park the bus and will try to attack us which suits our pressing. Fancy Osvaldo to score his first. Saints 3-1 win. Osvaldo, Lallana and Fonte with the goals.

Midfield was sensational. Morgan back to his best. Steven David was an excellent sub. Buzzing.

Still wanna see hin get forward more and see Morgan sit deeper during attacks. He looked better when carrying the ball forward. Very early days to judge him fully. Think he is a very promising player though. Liverpool will be a test for him.

Great player. Not seen him make a mistake yet. Commanding CB, great at passing and carrying it forward and Fonte looks better alongside him. Our defence is looking very secure now.

I don't think his passing is terrible, against Sunderland he rarely gave it away but yes yesterday he was guilty of poor passing. Is he not meant to be a box to box midfielder? Similar to Toure. That's the player I initially thought we were getting. One would could win the ball and bring it forward to start an attack.

See I disagree, I thought that the 3 behind the forward usually was made up of a striker, attacking midfielder and a winger on one side for good balance. You don't need a winger to hug the touchline either. We don't get in behind the full backs enough but when we do we look dangerous, for instance Osvaldo's miss. The only player in the 3 that looks capable of getting into this position is JRod. Lennon who we were linked with would have been perfect. Think we have shot ourselves in the foot in not buying a wide man. Fair comments about the formation.

I thought he was meant to be a box to box player with attacking threat as opposed to a holding player. He looked better when carrying the ball forward yesterday rather than covering the defence where his passing was at times poor. So far a decent looking player but not sure about the 12m price tag. Was brilliant against Sunderland and WBA but not quite so good against Norwich and West Ham. Wanna see him play more as the box to box player I thought he was at Celtic ala an upgrade on Steven Davis.

Anybody feel this formation is making us a bit predicatble at times especially against teams set up to defend. I'm not saying scrap this set up but we need a plan B, especially if we want Lambert and Osvaldo playing together. 4-2-3-1 provides very little width and the full backs can't always get forward. Whats also very frustating is our clear lack of having a natural winger in the team which showed when we were counter attacking against West Ham, we rarely got in behind the full backs. Think 4-2-3-1 might work better if one of the 3 was a natural winger which Lallana and JRod aren't IMO.

I'm getting a bit fed up of playing 4-2-3-1 every game. Why not have Lambert and Osvaldo playing up front together or have a plan B formation to see them play together. 4-2-3-1 is so narrow and allows for little width which is a huge problem for us at the mo. why we didn't bring a winger in is beyond me.

He'll still be used an an option from the bench in the next two. Was a poor game of little quality. Agreed with Keane's summary. Lets be honest England have no chance of winning anything with this generation of players.

A good window IMO. 3 solid signings improving each department of the team and the spine. Would have liked to have seen a winger but who knows come January. Lovren - been hugely impressive and has immediately improved the defence. Much more aggressive and commanding than the other CB's but still think Yoshida should be pairing with him. Wanyama - best player on the pitch in the first two games. Norwich he struggled alongside most of the team. Would like to see him play more box to box. Need to work out how he and Cork/Schneiderlin/JWP will fit the team. Osvaldo - what a coup. He will become amazing for us. An italian international playing for us. Amazing! How can you not be delighted with the window. Early business completed as everyone wanted.
