  1. Thanks for sharing. Glad to see some movement happening with Spors vision.
  2. This is what has worked for us in the past and works currently works for Bournemouth and Brentford. Exactly what we should be opting for.
  3. We need a reset up front. Archer clearly wants out. I would keep Tall Paul but wouldn’t mind if he left (for the right fee). But we desperately need a talisman up front. Pace power and athleticism (aka the new is he hungry enough). Same in midfield. We are far too powder puff which is why we’ve been found out at PL level. Same with Ipswich and Leicester. Also there is no chance we keep THB or Fernandes. I think we need to raise plenty in the summer as we are going to need 8-9 new players.
  4. I would take Rohl. He plays a high press and that’s the way the club needs to go. He also greats a good atmosphere amongst the players. And the Wednesday fans love him. We need that vibe back at SMS. We haven’t had that since Ralph left. The only way to crack staying in the PL is to adopt an underdog approach aka Poch and Ralph in the early days. Look at Bournemouth and Brentford. And ffs invest in a centre forward, and a physically strong CDM. The squad needs an overhaul and we need powerful, athletic players.
  5. On loan maybe or got a reduced fee. We really need to sign a CF in the summer - a mobile and physical presence. And a physically strong CDM. We’ve lacked in these areas since Broja and Romeu left. These two signings must be done correctly. I’m not including the 10 or so other signings we need.
  6. Juric is legit worse than Martin. His man marking pressing is suicidal and the midfield is the worst in the history of this club and the PL. Wish we could forfeit this season. Oh wait players already have .
  7. Martin ruined Suleman, Alcaraz and Tall Paul July not giving them a chance.

It’s hard to identify many improvements. The one to one man marking/press just doesn’t work with the players we have. He’s not the man for next seasons promotion push. Yet another managerial failure on behalf of SR.
  9. One word to sum it all up “apathetic”
  10. My take on outgoings is; Dibling £55m, Fernandes £35m, Ramsdale £25m, THB £25m, Aribo £5m, BBD £5m and Sugawara £6m (Total - £156m) of course it will be probably a little less than that. Correct me if I’m wrong but that is much higher than our previous outgoings after the last relegation? Incomings we desperately need to invest in our; Centre Forward Goalkeeper Winger Number 10 CDM Centre back RB So basically half a team! Unlike the previous season we need to be signing players capable of stepping up. And focusing on playing a way that will give us a chance of scrapping properly if we get promoted. Danny Rohl all the way for me. I feel pretty confident about next year so long as we get the manager situation right and adopt a high press style.
  11. Let him progress rather than call him back to this absolute shit show of a season.
  12. Given the dog shit on display I’d say the fans have been pretty decent. First half was a good atmosphere but it’s very hard to get going when you’ve lost 19/24 games.
  13. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6068089/2025/01/16/southampton-board-johannes-spors-director/ Not a bad CV.
  14. If we hired Juric after the Bournemouth away game we’d have had a chance of staying up.
  15. We were sensational for 70 minutes then Dibling went off and tiredness kicked in. Utd were incredibly lucky to win that. Suleman was the best player on the pitch by a country mile for 70 mins closely followed by Fernandes. Loads of positives to take in a now pointless season.
  16. The 3 above us all play the big 6 clubs in their next two games. Need to win the next 2 to have any hope in hell.
  17. The Man City judgement when it comes will likely send shockwaves through the football league. Looks like they can appeal however which could lead to months more of this dragging. I haven’t seen anything to suggest Leicester or Everton have gotten away with things scot free.
  18. Started with a lie is a bit strong. This is a big talking point and something is likely to be incurred on one or multiple clubs this season. Of course it’s a big deal.

Actually think this is a very good appointment. Risk free with the contract situation and the complete opposite of Martin’s possession borefest.
  20. Hardly a pointless thread. Any points deductions will impact us this season significantly. Merely interested in people’s thoughts. Christ it’s miserable on here.
  21. https://www.skysports.com/amp/football/news/11095/13270551/man-citys-115-charges-premier-leagues-12-week-hearing-concludes-with-decision-expected-in-spring Looks like the hearing has concluded with a judgement coming in Spring. So not judged guilty quite yet then.
  22. I’m on board with this now. We are suited to a high press and this appointment matches. His attacking style will suit our forward line and he’ll hopefully shore up the defence. Also like that it sounds like he takes no prisoners and is hot on fitness. If we can get 30 points from the next 22 games then maybe, who knows. At least we can have a go now.
  23. Man City now found guilty but unlikely to hear of a sentence until Spring time. Everton and Leicester are still rumoured to be receiving deductions. It’s all very quiet in the media. What do people think will happen? Yes clutching at straws here!
  24. Sensible appointment made 6-8 weeks too late. Not quite sure what people were expecting on here tbh. It was never going to be Moyes.
  25. Let’s be honest David Moyes is not coming here in a million years. He said the relegation with Sunderland was a career low. I still think Rohl is the most sensible choice.
