You have to laugh don't you, after everything they had stacked in their favour, the whole weight of the establishment, and after all the falsehoods they spread...they're still crying because the leave campaign took the gross and not net figure. It's victim mentality on another level.

Most of the forum head-in-the-sanders i would imagine live in the New Forest or Winchester, maybe Romsey. So they're not very familiar with things like this. -

They'll carry on burying their heads in the sand, whilst shouting down anyone who calls it out. What they've done for decades and what's got us in this mess. -

Be interesting how the history books write that one up. Socially liberal 'progressive' lefties, in bed with socially authoritarian radical Muslims. Maybe that their fanaticism for 'multiculturalism' trumped everything else. -

It might not 'achieve' anything I agree, but does that mean it's not a good thing? I think it's great to see thousands uniting together to stick two fingers up at the extremism festering across our island, saying we're still f*cking here and we're not going to just bend over and take this in silence. Like couldn't you say is there anything 'achieved' in congregating at war memorials across the country on remembrance day, to stand in the cold and lay a wreath once a year? Nothing is achieved as such, but it's still a valuable thing. -

You just can't distinguish the difference can you. 1) Individual loner maniacs, with no wider contacts, carries out evil for no 'greater cause' or ideology. 2) Networks and groups stretching across Europe promoting Jihad against infidels, all spurred on by a religious text, radical Imams, ideas of martyrdom and an Islamic caliphate. Is it really that hard. -

I agree, the obsession goes too far. I'm working out here and city dwellers in my office store guns and when i ask why they just say 'protection', it is strange. But I was responding to him questioning why anyone 'needs a gun'. Might be hard for someone in urban UK to understand, but do a road trip around the rural deep south or something and you can understand why it's a part of country life out here. That's not to say i agree with their guns laws or the right to semi automated killing machines. But just saying 'why does anyone need a gun' here is a non argument. -

Have you not been to the US..huge parts of the country are incredibly rural, guns/hunting are part and parcel of that. -
Can you imagine if Farage for years had an affiliated rent a mob that would show up to Labour rallies/conferences, and proceed to intimidate, spit on, hurl abuse at any members of the public attending. They'd be outcry, but Farage had it for years and no one really cared because him and his supporters were fair game to a lot of the left/media.

You think there's no relation? Imagine they'd been a role reversal, and young white men had done it to Muslim girls. We'd have endless discussions on newsnight/panel shows debating what attitudes and prejudices in the white community allowed it to happen. Now say white men were brought up by their parents to not see Muslim women as pure enough 'wife material' or even girlfriend material they could bring home to parents, and their churches/parents (in some cases) fueled the idea that they were trash. But you honestly think that has no bearing on them then adopting an attitude that they're just good for sexual favors and don't need to be treated with any dignity and respect? -

If gangs of Jewish men were grooming white British girls en mass, then we'd start talking about whether those attitudes were festering problems. The fact here is, white girls were/are racially targeted, so surely you'd be mad to not scrutinise what attitudes caused that? Why did those men think they were fair game? Was it perhaps because they've been brought up to see Muslim women as 'pure'/'wife material', and white British girls as Kuffar trash you'd never marry. -

Exactly, I'm pretty sure its a far greater % of Muslim households where it would still be a 'major issue' - but you'll never hear that discussed will you. -

Shows how tunnel visioned people like you are when you can't even admit the recent scandals are a totally different phenomenon. This is groups of friends, work colleagues, cousins, bothers, extended family, all openly involved together in abusing, sexually exploiting, and passing round young girls. With no shame or embarrassment. They're not hiding doing it in that isolated/hidden way your traditional wrong'un does. And why might this be? Perhaps it's because a considerable amount of second/third generation Muslim men in the Islamic community have been brought up by their Muslim parents (and Mosques etc), to fester bigoted/racist views towards kuffar 'white trash'. Remember, purely guessing, it's very frowned upon in the majority of Muslim households to marry a non-Muslim. So these men then just see these girls as fair game for sexual favors and a bit of fun on the side. But for as long as people like you stay in denial you're never going to get to the roots of the problem. -
Yes silly them... they should have listened to Chrisitine Legarde, Blair and the banking sector, who really had their interests at heart. A coalition was seen in the referendum not so incompatible as you're trying to make out. A large proportion of leafy provincial middle class England joining together with more urban traditional working class areas. Yes there's obviously differences in a Dan Hannan type vision compared to a lot of working class voters. But end of the day they were linked by a shared patriotic belief in nation state sovereignty and a rejection of the globalist Bilderberg vision. That trumps disagreements over levels of immigration or what have you. If you look back at polling there's always been a majority of people in the UK very sceptical about EU integration, with a clear majority having just favored a free trade type relationship over political union. The EU changed, we didn't, people saw the direction of travel and rejected it.

Could you expand on that? Struggling to see what you're trying to say there.

Another conversation which needs to be had is the racist attitudes a lot of Muslim communities have festered towards Whites/Kafir. Such attitudes are of course going to contribute towards things like grooming of white girls, and at the upper end of the spectrum terrorism-and make integration impossible. Somethings gone wrong. Because it seems (some) older conservative Muslims, and mosques, have brought up a second generation to live completely separate and have little regard for 'trashy white Kafir'. For example in how many Muslim households is it widely accepted that daughters would never marry Kafir? Not an insignificant minority i'd suggest. But of course such is the narrative and victim mentality we've fostered, racism is only something that Muslims could have done to them, and it would be a ridiculous assertion to claim some within the Muslim community have been fostering racist attitudes to whites for decades. -
It's not the nasty greedy right wingers advocating sending out brown shirts to criminalise and harass some of the poorest and most vulnerable in society for not paying into the BBC trough though, is it?
-
Glad to see the other day ago that the Mail have started launching an investigation into the BBC brown shirts criminalising and bullying of vulnerable people. Taking people to court and giving criminal records for not funding a state broadcaster, hard to believe in this day and age.

I agree it did sound great at times on Sunday. But did get a bit ridiculous where I was, literally the only song for most of the game anyone was willing to sing. Just means it becomes really tedious. Tried to get other things going to no avail.

It's almost like you're trying to be a parody act.

EU migration has now surpassed non-EU migration- the EU is 6% of the world's population, but accounts for more than half our migration. Seems disproportionate to me. 74,000 alone coming from Romania/Bulgaria in one year (remember when Farage was mocked for saying they'd be a huge increase). If these levels are a recent phenomenon i don't understand the mentality that we have no choice now and have to accept adding over a million to our population every 3 years? And with the state the Eurozone is in, these numbers will probably only get worse.
-
I don't get what your point is. It seems you're saying immigration will be hard to get under control because of vested interests by big business, so we should therefore just give up and have no control whatsoever for the next however many decades? Most leave voters didn't believe voting out would stop all immigration/drastically cut it all of a sudden, but they recognised they had the choice of being able to vote for a degree of future control over it, or having our hands tied behind our back accepting these levels for decades to come. It was unforeseeable a decade ago we'd leave the EU, but UKIP and Tory backbenches put sufficient electoral pressure on the Tories to offer an in out referendum, and here we are. So is it really that crazy to think we can reduce numbers on immigration? Remember that current levels are an unprecedented new phenomenon, it's not like we're having to undo something that's historically entrenched or been going on for generations here.
-
At least we will have regained our right as a sovereign nation to decide on a year to year basis our own policy. At elections parties can put forward their policy and the electorate can make that decision. We're in control, we won't have our hands tied behind our back having to accept decades of 350,000+ net each year without being able to do a thing about it.
