  1. I guess in Div1 we will be down to the real, 'real' fans, irrespective of club ownership. Sad to say they'll not be able to lower the prices enough to attract much of a crowd, even if by some miracle we are saved from disappearing completely.
  2. Probably worse to come yet - liquidation or more points deducted - Happy days!
  3. It's really hard to see why anyone would want to buy a debt of £10 million plus, with a 24 million pound mortgage to service and operating costs > revenue. Love to know who the potential buyers, they must be total loonies!
  4. He's a good player dragged down by the rest of the side over the last few months. Sure to shine in a decent team, and has scored more goals than anyone apart from DMG.
  5. So all we need is a really 'smart' business man who wants to acquire a debt laden company that will not make enough money to cover its operating costs - oh dear!
  6. Those prices would have been OK for this year, but I think it's time to call it a day
  7. We aren't a bargain, those charity buckets might just as well have a hole in the bottom - the end is nigh!
  8. It was surprisingly OK today, not a bad atmosphere, not a bad game - great shot for the goal. Some of the head tennis in the penalty area was laughable. I'll come back if we don't go bust, as long as the ticket costs no more than £15
  9. It will be my last
  10. Message from the negative people - it's possible but more likely Forest 49 Norwich 48 Barnsley 47 Saints 45 Charlton 37
  11. If we survive, it will only get worse

  13. Just a dreadfully boring game as far as Saints were concerned, cluster of players in midfield not looking to do anything with the ball except play it sideways or backwards, no shots, no vision, no ideas. I just kept looking at the clock to see when the game would finish and it dragged on and on. I won't be going again, I feel robbed even for £15.
  14. Mel Blyth and Mark Wright - both class footballers. I remember seeing Mel walking back from training at the Dell to catch the train to London with no bags just a pair of white boots hanging on his shoulder. McGrath and Watson for the strongman roles.
  15. and it's £24
  16. Formation of the premier league forced out all of the smaller clubs who failed to secure massive investment. We were lucky to hold on for so long.
  17. up for sale
  18. £24 for the current 'match day experience' is way too much, half emprty stadium, championship football, etc. The £18 suggestion is far more realistic but probably too big a risk and should have been in place March this year.
  19. Niemi made some great saves from behind an often poor defence. One memory I have of him is when we were defending a free kick from 5 yards outside the box he requested a gap in the middle of the wall. The shot came straight through the gap for him to punch clear. Amazing confidence in his own ability.
  20. Gillett wasnt terrible on Saturday, he just faded after 30 minutes. Skacel has never played in the CM role for Saints and his time has gone. Would have loved him to re-create his form from Hearts but he never managed it.
  21. Killer didn't look fit although he had a big physical threat to deal with. James I thought was OK, didn't get forward but defensively worked hard and looked better than say Baird ever did at RB. Gillett was the pivot for all the midfield for the first 30 minutes, and looked great for a while until he went right through a player a midfield, just like Surman did. It just seemed to me that after edging the first half without producing enough shots on goal, we were killed off by falling behind to the penalty. As for changes, it doesn't sound like JP will make many, as he believes this is his best team. You can see Cork and Pekhart getting a go sometime, but they have all just got to learn from the experience. If Killer is fit for QPR, then I would just try Pekhart as the only change in favour of White.
  22. Phil Boyer
  23. Spurs supporter at work says Pekhart shows plenty of promise but has lots to learn. Hopefully he will provide height up front and another goalscoring option - surely better than Pericard or others we might have gone for under the old regime
  24. Last year expectations were so low - only a couple of games worth watching at SMS, the rest dross. Came away from a 1-0 game against Cardiff thinking we were absolute crap and that our football wasn't worth watching anymore. Now there is some hope of a decent performance with new players who may have a bright future, not cast offs who are never going to get better. Isn't this the way it should be? Last year, no-one who went to games could surely believe we were going to succeed in escaping the CCC (except through the trap door). This year at least we can see the possibility of improvement and team building.
