Not wanting to start an argument or anything, but i got thinking last night about why the change 'now'. This is possibly just me feeling negative and trying to find a conspiracy, but could there be a connection with the large loan from some offshore lenders earlier in the year? We know SFC/Cortese borrowed an approx £25m (i say we know, i mean it was reported that was the sum), but we don't know why. Is it actually possible that the Club is now Cortese's, e.g. no more Liebherr funding - and what he has done is borrow against the proposed revenue streams for next year to beef up his funds for this? He's not actually a 'banker' btw - he worked in the banking sector as a 'salesman' - e.g. he found wealthy people for his bank and looked after them/did deals for them. On this basis. Surely, rather than paying interest, it would have been better to borrow the money from the Liebherr's - so this makes me think there is no longer a 'financial relationship' there. So, the reason for the change 'now' is that he's panicing that SFC would get relegated and is hoping for this new guy, who has a great CV, to turn the tide? Thoughts?

assume you're right here - and that worries me intensely. It's always appeared to me that he's just playing at being 'boss' given he's using someone else's money - hence the ability to drag out a court case and not worry about additional fees incurred.

but do you want a reputation, with the Liebherr family, of a person who costs them additional legal fees? This is the first fully reported case, but how many more have there been? Looking forward to seeing how the training ground pans out too.......

my mate who works for a local VW dealership had season tickets this year. Club called yesterday to advise that the seats have been sold twice and told him he has to move. Wasn't given any option, despite not wanting to move, and now has new seats. How can seats, especially season ticket seats, be sold twice?

she was appointed after the Liebherr takeover Her and a guy called Chris Hayler have been sacked. There is currently no commercial team apart from 2 junior staff.

just rang the club to speak to Emily to see what hospitality was left for Saturday (if anything) to be told she no longer works there :-( Asked to speak to her boss, to be told he's just gone too. That's on top of David Chell/Shell (?) going recently. Thats a real shame

Spot on! It's been mentioned before, but as an example of this, what about the perimeter ad boards. There are the one's near the pitch and the one's near the fans (facing the pitch). The one's near the fans are almost 100% internal advertising (Saints Foundation etc) and the one's near the pitch (which i guess are the big bucks) contain so many ads for the key sposnor, they just have to be part of their contract. So, given that we have had gates of over 30k this year and have been top since September, we're not getting the adverts in? How come? Overpriced perhaps?

Really. So, exactly what has he done that is so fantastic behind the scenes? What is the vision and strategy that is one of the best?

And the pre-tax loss of over £7.5m last year really backs this up.........

We're assuming that a company has been appointed as the constructor of this project right? I do't recall this happening. It's almost two years since the original plans were made public by The Club and they appointed Farnrise as the company. This appears to have fallen over at some point. Since then, no other news. Would seem to match up that no-one has been appointed given that the only action in two years is the portacabins and nothing else.

You have to wonder why the Manager doesn't get mentioned as the one involved in the deal. Anyone would think the clubs's media dept have to mention NC in all the major releases to help massage the massive ego..........Just a thought......
